We planned a visit to Rhinebeck and needed a place to stay and found Beekman Arms. The hotel has multiple buildings, some old some new. We stayed in the Delamater house. The house was built in the 1800's this was evident by the squeaky floors. The check in and breakfast were both in different buildings then the one we stayed in. The room was large, had a comfortable king size bed and cable tv. The bathroom had good water pressure but was tiny and the toilet was a child sized toilet small and low to the ground. The room had a ceiling fan but no AC to adjust the room temperature so it was pretty hot at night. Breakfast was typically continental breakfast with cereal, fruit, bagels, hard boiled eggs juice and coffee. The location is perfect and the town is walkable with many restaurants to choose from within walking distance. I would recommend calling the hotel to see if they offer rooms with adjustable AC if you are staying in warmer months.

Great location in town. Park and walk to all. Really nice restaurants around. Bia was great. Le petit bistro looks good. We really liked cafe con leche a Puerto Rican spot. Also nice shops to roam in and out of. Samuels is a fun sweet shop. About the inn. Very welcomed by Ryan at the front desk. Informative and friendly. We stayed in room 22 a queen large room. Simply done and spacious. Nice bathroom. Nothing fancy just plain fine. A little decanted of sherry, plenty of towels and shampoo etc...comfy bed. When room is made up by the cleaning staff, it is done so well. All towels replaced, bed is made beautifully, shampoo replenished, coffee packs replenished. Room vacuumed. Great cleaning service. Only drawback is that you can hear everything in the lobby and outside the front door. Music from the bar too. Not loud but noticeable. Not a drawback but since the place is old it's super creaky. The floor boards are in rare form and we sounded like a herd of elephants. lol. Parking is great! Worth the stay.

    Beautiful patio area!

Went with friends who live in Rhinebeck for the Sunday brunch buffet and was impressed. The building itself was worth the visit steeped in well kept history. Options for seating varied between beautiful heavy oak rooms with high backed booths to bright, greenery laden seating in the glass encased patio. The buffet has bottomless help yourself champagne drinks with juices, fruit etc. there was an omelette station, salads, meats, waffles, eggs Benedict, and even a turkey carving station. The desserts were all ace (we tried almost everything) and service was quite attentive and friendly! All conveniently located in cute downtown area- parking was a breeze. All in all.. look forward to going back!

    A beautiful old building

My partner wanted to treat me for my birthday, so we came here. This is an amazing colonial Tavern that has been here since 1766. It has a very nice atmosphere. The tavern room, the main restaurant, are nice, but we ate in the room with the fireplace. And we had the room all to ourselves. We each started with the soup of the day. It was delicious. For our main course, my partner had the chicken in Brandy sauce, and I had the Dutch pot pie. My partner loved her chicken, she said it was tinder and very rich. My Dish, was basically a deconstructed pot pie, with tender turkey and a wonderful cream gravy with vegetables ,and a giant cheddar bay biscuit, right in the middle. The biscuit was warm, tender and delicious. For dessert, we each had a slice of the delectable, red velvet cake, and because it was my birthday, they even put a candle in it for me. The waiter jokingly said that he would've sung happy birthday to me, but we really didn't want to hear him sing... LOL The service was wonderful, and for all we got, the price was very reasonable. It was a great evening. Thank you

    Yes please.

Stopped in after work for some snacks and drinks to celebrate the holidays. I split a bottle of Rioja wine and it was delicious. It was a nice blend and I would definitely order it again. Someone in our party ordered Mother's Milk beer and it took forever for it to be served but they were happy as it's a favorite. We tried the French onion soup and the truffle fries. The fries were amazing but the soup was ok. The soup was not anything to write home about. We had fun and our waitress was nice. We were really wanting to sit in front of a fire but I don't think they're doing that anymore due to the recent fires. The building is super old and the first inn in America. I don't know if that's true but it definitely has character

We stayed in the Firehouse Suite with the king sized bed. The room is located above the Rain Spa on Market street so we constantly heard their music starting at 8am. You have to enter via the parking lot and it's a flight of wooden stairs outside. The suite was spacious but the shower-head definitely needs to be replaced in the bathroom. For the price I'd probably stay someplace more upscale. Definitely a nice location with access to all the shops and restaurants

The downstairs sitting room was so overly cluttered, there was really no place to sit, so one has to go outside and sit on the porch. I'd imagine if the Munsters and the Addams Families had ever gotten together and opened up a B & B this would be the result of their efforts. I don't upstand all these highly rated comments from travelers, it is almost like they don't travel very much or were given some sort of Gratuity for a positive comment or review. The breakfast was marginal at best, resulting in an early lunch down the road in Historic Hyde Park. The best thing about this location is the excellent, Friendly little restaurant and bar within walking distance just up the street to the north of this locale. I don't see how anyone could ever have a tea party here, since the outside area looked folded up and dilapidated, unless it was actually for and with the Mad Hatter.

Porch was a Mish mash of old furniture, old treadmill and a handicapped shower chair. A nice older gentleman in flip flops answered, opened the door to my room and said that's where your staying. He never gave me a key so couldn't even lock the door if I wanted to go out. I get in the room and it's crammed with a king size bed and pulled out single bed and several tables. It smelled old and musty. I checked the sheets and they looked and smelled like they were from the 70's. Went into the bathroom and there was a nasty cleaning rag on the counter, blue glasses that had an inch of dust on them, whoever stayed previously shampoo and bodywash in the shower (so obviously not cleaned). Not full toiletries that were sticky to the touch and toilet paper holder that was broken. I went into the hall to find the gentleman and he could not be located. Walked across the hall to the common room and it was as rundown and nasty as the room. The hallway smelled like pot. At this point, there was no way I was staying there. I contacted the owner, Pat and explained what was going on, at first she didn't believe me then when I sent pics, she apologized and said she would refund the 200.00 in 4 days, on Thursday when she got back. I agreed. Nothing was refunded and contacted her on Friday, she did not respond. I contacted her again on Sunday and she responded with a nasty response accusing me of lying and breaking the toilet paper holder on purpose and put on the Venmo that it was for "unjustified refund". Bottom line, the place is a dump and the owner unprofessional and nasty. Stay as far away as you can.

But something about being here during winter was...magical. High class, intimate, romantic place for your partner and you to have a quiet getaway. The bar has fun cocktails both in the mansion and at the pavilion. The food was PHENOMENAL. My favorite was the truffle fries. They actually used real shaved truffle on top instead of just truffle oil like a lot of other places, so I appreciate the commitment to the craft. Complimentary breakfast was *chefs kiss*. Fun night time hangout at the fire pits with s'mores and brick oven pizza all night. We stayed in the Ivy room on the second floor and only heard the smallest bits of noise from other people coming in. The room was a touch small, but we had a queen bed and a love seat along with a large closet. The bathroom was spectacular, spacious with a Jacuzzi and lots of bubble bath! Breakfast is served at 8:30 am sharp, which I enjoyed, great initiative to get an early start on the day. We shared one large table with everyone and it created a great way to meet the others occupants and learn about things to do in the area. Yvonne is a great cook and each breakfast was delicious. The building has a nice parlor off the living room with lots of books and a TV. We spent an evening in there watching GOT. There is a wonderful font porch with several chairs. And then in the back a large patio. The B&B is a couple blocks from the main intersection of Rhinebeck on the way up to Red Hook. Although breakfast is no longer offered as part of the room rate, we were "grandfathered in" by the super amenable, welcoming head chef, who, in large part, is the engine behind the hotel's managing group, because our room had been booked when the breakfast plan was still in existence. Our breakfasts were presented beautifully & by servers who were super friendly & engaging, as is the rest of the staff here. The pool had not yet been filled for the summer, so we enjoyed sunning on the pool deck, the sweet sauna, walks to the lake down below the property, played shuffleboard, billiards in the way-downstairs which has stone walls, low ceilings, a wine closet, board games & game table, as well as darts. The first floor library is cozy, filled with couches, upholstered chairs, books, coloring books & colored pencils & the in-house restaurant offers 3 meals a day, either in the beautifully outfitted & sunny dining room or on the back patio, alongside a rain barrel, herb garden, smoke house, fire pit & the grassy lawns. The owners & the hotel's hospitality group are working on upgrading & updating the facilities & its offerings & we applaud them for their efforts & plans. We are glad that we could fully enjoy this welcoming, beautiful old stone home & its equally welcoming staff. AND, we thank the head chef for the bottle of Prosecco that he gifted us! P.S. I think I saw someone moving a rolling chicken coop from one part of the property to another!
