Big menu includes Breakfast till 11, seafood, and lots of sandwich options. Absolutely solid meal and good service but we didn't find the roast beef as rare or tender as other places we've tried like Blue House in Derry.

This place is a local gem to the Concord, NH area and has been around for decades. Simply the Best Roast Beef sandwiches around! l like the Royal Rib which is smothered in onions, peppers & mushrooms with Au Jus for dipping. They also have burgers, reubens, steak/cheese, clubs, BBQ brisket, seafood plates ect ect. Service is prompt & friendly with prices that are affordable. FYI...they also serve a great breakfast. Never had a bad experience so check them out & Enjoy!!

Have I never reviewed this gem??? It's one of my favorite places to go. They have amazing gluten free options. I get the French dip with the house fries and a delicious gluten free roll. My boyfriend tries different things. He likes the colossal, French dip and said the bbq platter was good. The meat is nice and red. Prices are great, food is fantastic, waitstaff is awesome too! Super accommodating. We always leave really happy and satisfied!!

This place was literally so good, do not let the view of it mislead you. The items on the menu literally speak for themselves, its as good as they sound. We just so happened to go at a slow hour but I was told this place can get packed. They have a to-go counter when you first walk in that most people apparently do, but my family preferred to sit. It's definitely a small town restaurant but they do their food so good. Sat with 4 different family members and everyone said that their food was a 5/5. Our server was super patient with us (we took forever to decide). My ONLY complaint is that they don't offer a hot lobster roll with butter..I was hoping that the lobster was made per order, or at least not pre-mixed with mayo even though only a cold option is listed on the menu, but I was in fact wrong. It hurt to eat cold, but it was a goo sandwich.

Thoroughly enjoyable. I opted for the Giant with the $1 add-on for cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. The sandwich was size-able, the roast beef was tender and flavorful. I cut it in half and devoured the sandwich. I also ordered a side salad with sole blue cheese dressing. The dressing was surprisingly good! Solid blue cheese flavor, thick. I was seated instantly, the waitress was quick to get me set up, bring the food and the bill. Overall a great place to grab a roast beef sandwich.

Three way roast beef sandwich and a slice peanut of peanut butter pie. Nothing fancy but totally respectable. Ambiance is cute old style western fast food. Service was hospitable and outside picnic area really nice to eat and enjoy nice weather.

This has to be a neighborhood staple and favorite. The place was packed and the staff super friendly. We found this via Yelp and the reviews were spot on. We tried the famous roast beef sandwich and we loved it. The meat was rare and sliced thin in a soft roll and had the right amount of mayo. So glad we stopped here. We were so hungry I forgot to snap a pic.

I was in town for work and I found this place looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and a beer. Boy I was glad I chose this place! The beef sandwich and onion rings were both great! Perfect with a nice cold beer. I definitely will be back again when I am in town for work!

I was driving down from Montreal to come to Nashua and had planned a lunch stop in this area. I joined a Facebook group all about New Hamsphire eats and Beefside was often recommended. The menu and concept seemed simple enough. When we arrived around lunch time on Monday December 18th, the place was already packed. This is a quaint, small town restaurant with a homey feel. There is a take out counter, otherwise a few tables if you want to dine in. I tried the famous roast beef sandwich and my partner got the "BBQ Beef Brisket Bomb" sandwich served with fries. For a place that is well know for their beef - we were both disappointed in the flavor of the sliced beef. It was not seasoned, had very little flavor, it was quite bland. It was tender and shaved thinly, which had a good mouthfeel, but the bbq brisket did not like taste like smoky bbq at all. It kind of tasted like unseasoned boiled or braised beef unfortunately. Perhaps it was just the cut we got, but it really needed some extra fat and salt. Luckily, for my roast beef sandwich, I paid the extra to have cheese, mayo, tomato and lettuce. This made a huge difference otherwise the beef alone would be very boring. Price wise and portion - this was perfect for lunch. I just wish the beef had more flavor. There are tons of great reviews about this place on here and Google, so it would be worth another shot.

Are you people crazy? 10 dollars for one draft beer? The beer was more expensive than the mediocre roast beef sandwich. I will never be back nor will members of my family.

Really enjoyed their Giant roast beef sandwich ($10.50) The portion of meat was 6oz and it was tender, but I loved the bun it was in! It tasted like a more buttery Martin's potato roll. So good. I then tried some of what my mom got, a small order of chicken bits ($8.50). I did not expect the chicken meat to be so white and juicy. The quality was great and we enjoyed its fried coating along with dipping them in their homemade bbq sauce. The employees were so nice as well. Very friendly!

Friendly staff, laid back diner atmosphere. We started with a cup of their lobster bisque. It was loaded with chunks of lobster and great flavor! I had the whole clam fried basket, and my companion ordered the fried haddock basket. Both were excellent! Fresh and lightly breaded. Great value and you certainly won't leave hungry! Went on a Yelp recomendation and was well worth it. Prices were great, service was friendly and spot on. I had the Junior Roast Beef and a Cheeseburger. The RB was delicious and the burger was pretty good. The ORings were fresh and the battered dipped fries were pretty good. Daughter had the BLT and said it was awesome. Son had the hotdog kids meal fries and choc milk, I think it was $4. If I lived in the area this place would be on the regular rotation.They refilled the soda NC and put a pitcher of water on the table as we drink alot of water. They offer pitchers of soda which is rare. we ordered Fries, Orings, and dipped fries all medium to split and it was plenty for 5 people. Bill was $32 plus tip read more

I have been here so many times I lost count years ago. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu. My go to meal is the prime rib sandwich. I would eat one everyday if it would not end up killing me. If I do not get this, I usually go with the Super Roast Beef with a side of onion rings. They will make anything the way you like it. Always clean and great service. Also dog friendly if you want to eat at the outside tables. I always my dogs a sliced turkey sandwich. It looks and smells so good, I get jealous! read more

I preface this review by saying that we did go for lunch on Father's Day, so it was busy. However, the service and the atmosphere were absolutely horrific. After waiting 30 minutes to be seated (again, Father's Day), we were seated at a table squeezed into a corner under an air conditioning vent which dripped on my husband continuously. Then, the waitress took our drink and appetizer order. She brought my husband the wrong drink and was gone before we could say anything. They had to put up the leaves at the ends of the table to seat a party of five and the leaves slanted downwards. My daughter's entire full drink promptly slid off of the table and all over her. I had to go get someone to clean it up...which they did with a broom. They did not replace my daughter's drink and we didn't see our waitress for another HOUR. At which point, my husband finally got his drink and we got our appetizers but the damage had been done. This was our first and LAST time at this place. read more

Stopped on for quick a after ski dinner. Had the best pulled pork sandwich I've had in years! Husband had the prime rib with sautéed onions, pepper & mushrooms. Best prime rib sandwich ever! This is definetly our new day trip dinner stop. Service was quick and friendly. Dining area was clean and warm. The inviting warm fire as you walk in was a nice touch. I treat myself to a roast beef sandwich almost every week. I love the horseradish sauce and the bun is grilled to perfection--that's what sets it apart. Breakfasts are great too. I'm not a fan of BBQ but I once asked them what they did to their home fries because they were great and they said they put in just a little BBQ. Highly recommend. read more

Perfect place to stop in for a hearty bite on your way to the mountains. Very casual atmosphere, kind and accommodating staff, and great sandwiches; I got the Reuben and it was delicious. The sweet fries weren't my favorite (I like mine thin/crispy, there's were cut larger, slightly soggy) but there was a nice spot to sit outside and enjoy our food. read more

The service was exceptionally quick and friendly but the food was unremarkable. More of a diner than a fine dining experience. Chicken completely lacked any spice as did the steak sub. Beef tips good quality but needed some sort of spice, gravy or topping to give it some pizazz. Onion rings undercooked. Note:Restaurant was FREEZING every time the door opened. read more

We were in NH for two weeks and this was the place we frequented the most often. The open faced roast beef is excellent comfort food. The lobster bisque is my favorite think on the menu. Outstanding hot dogs. Sweet potato fries are worth trying. Another great choice is the haddock fish and chips. Great place, great prices. read more

My whole family loves this place. I used to go here with my grandmother. She would get a clam or lobster roll. I would usually get a sandwich. My grandfather loved their brunch. Now I take my kids here and they love it. One of my girls gets the clam roll, the other gets (according to a 5 year old) "the best grilled cheese in the world." I have never been unhappy with anything I have ordered. read more

Showed up (not on purpose) as they were closing but still got great/warm/welcoming service. Food was great and of good value. Also they threw out the coffee just as I asked for some more, but they made a fresh pot just for me and then sent me home with as much coffee as possible. Bless that server. Made my night. read more

I stopped at Banks Chevrolet today to buy a new truck that was a good experience then I went to the beef side for a roast beef sandwich hoping I could get one similar to Kelly's in Revere Mass which I haven't been able to find in 20 years well I found it I ordered a 6 oz beef with sauce mayo and cheese it look like a pound of beef shaved thin medium rare perfect service excellent staff attitude amazing read more

I ate here last week with my fiance' and all I can say is YUM! The food was awesome and the waitresses were wonderfully attentive and incredibly personable. I had a bbq sampler type plate and my fiance had the lobster roll and we shared an order of onion rings. All of the food was top notch, well cooked, and incredibly fresh and tasty. I would and probably will eat here again the next time I need a meal in Concord. Don't pass this place up! read more

Love breakfast here. Most think just of lunch and dinner which is nice but do yourself a favor and get some eggs Benedict some morning. Lunch is good too. I usually go for the beef sandwich and some onion rings, and on occasion I'll get a chowder. I've never been for dinner but lunch and breakfast yes. Priced well. Sometimes a bit of a wait for a table for breakfast but no more than anywhere else, it all depends on timing read more

History

Established in 1978.

Beefside was established in 1978 by William Ray and George Parker. It started off slow with fresh home baked and sliced Roast beef sandwiches every day, actually sliced to order even. It grew over the years with some great staff members along the way, a few even remain there still today. Beefside is known for their amazing roast beef, bbq items and delicious seafood, also a great breakfast every morning. In 2020 The Rays had decided to retire and sold their business to two employees that had been there since high school. They decided to keep things almost exactly the way it was but with a few updates. They care for their staff just as much as they care for the business. That’s why they are “still Beefside”. They are one big family of loyal Beefside employees, they work together every day. Beefside is awesome, it’s a staple in concord N. H.

I ended up with an egg sandwich, but everyone in the group got something different. The portions were HUGE and everything was SO FRESH. The place was packed and it was clear why since for the price and what you got, it is probably the best sandwich place around. If we lived in the area, it would probably be a regular lunch spot for us. Very good.

I honestly just chalked it up to us being fat so we didn't really need them anyway, oh well. This location is convenient, so we will be back, but I do prefer the Portsmouth location, or even Bedford. But this one is good too, it just seems like on the days they are open later, the staff is a little less... helpful. Maybe we will stick to brunch hours and see how that works. The menu here has also changed, and we really miss the old menu. The selections are now mediocre, and things you could get anywhere else. I miss the unique menu of things that were creative and layered, and just different. The menu now consists of 2 small pages, with pancakes, omelets, eggs Benedict, burritos, and a few lunch options with burgers. The hot chick sandwich is really great, but it was better before when it was called something else. It feels like the menu went a little *New England white tastebuds* instead of keeping the flavorful, unique items. I'm only taking away one star for the menu change. Our server not putting our order in correctly was annoying, especially since I only order apps because my blood sugar was low and thought they'd come out quickly, but it wasn't enough to keep me from coming back. I just hope they will bring back the old menu.

What did disappoint was the time it took to get our food. The place was next to dead, and we were still there for an hour. My potatoes were luke warm when I got them. My burrito, however, was quite good. Street parking is the way to go.

The food offerings include a selection of sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, and salads at moderate prices. I stopped by 90 Low for food after walking around Main Street during Concord Market Days. The place was very busy and I found an open seat at the bar. There was also live music playing in the back room. It took a while to be helped after deciding what to eat. I eventually ordered the Banh Mi Burger ($17 plus tax) upgraded with fries (add $1) and an ice water. My food came out on a tray within 27 minutes. The Banh Mi Burger was comprised of a grilled Korean glazed beef patty, cucumber carrot ginger slaw, chipotle aioli, lettuce on a brioche bun. This burger was medium well, but very messy to eat. The handcut fries were crisp, but extremely over the top salty, yikes! After I was done, I requested the check which was $19.53 with tax and before tip. Overall, the burger was good and the fries too salty. The service was scattered, inefficient and delayed as there were two bartenders making drinks, one serving the bar patrons and the other serving tables. It took a long time for the bartender to take my food order as I already knew what I wanted and after acknowledging me, they still decided to make 2 drinks (6 minute task) instead, before taking my simple order and entering my food order into the queue. My food took a while to come out, while the guy next to me ordered before me, got and ate his food and cashed out before I got my food. They need to do better, both service and food (salty fries).

I have been a fan of Beefside for 20 years. I worked there as a waiter before college and have been eating there ever since. Mainly because of the "Super Giant" which a yummy roast beef sandwich that will knock your socks off. The owner is Bill, he knows whats good. If you do go, ask for the prime rib, you will come back again and again. I love this place. It is small, but bill has always put his heart into his restaurant. You will feel that when you go.
