I always opt in for the hot Pistachio latte. It's not too rich, but enough to quench your sweetness for a delicious drink. There's plenty of seating but this place is always packed. I don't think I've ever gone in when it's empty, whether it's noon or night. There's also quite the selection of pastries! So many delicious desserts and buns! You can't go wrong with any selection. Everyone is friendly and helpful at Marouf! This is one of my favorite coffee houses in the SW burbs!

The coffee selections are numerous, and you can get them on the strong side or a bit weaker. They also have a number of pastries that can delight your taste buds ... the only glitch we saw was that they did not have a large selection of croissants. For example, we could not get just a plain croissant. But even given that, this was a very nice coffee stop for those that really like good coffee. The dining room was nice and large, with many different sections to settle into with your coffee. Loads of outlets to plug in your lap top if you come with one for a little work. Staff was very friendly, and it is pretty much an order at the counter and get your coffee. They don't need a large staff to run this place, as it pretty much runs itself other than the coffee-master. Give this place a try.

It's curated in a way that feels intentional, not just "we stocked a bunch of bottles." You can tell whoever built it actually cares. And shoutout to Axel behind the bar, because she is amazing. Friendly, dialed in, and genuinely knowledgeable without doing the annoying bartender thing where they make you feel dumb for asking questions. You can tell she really enjoys working here. She makes a fantastic Negroni. Great vibe, great drinks, and the kind of place you immediately want to make "your spot."

My friends and I each tried their specialty drinks and i got an everything croissant. We had high expectations because everything looked so good on the menu. Unfortunately none of us particularly enjoyed anything we got. All of our drinks just tasted like milk (both iced and hot options) and my croissant was oddly sweet because of the filling and I didn't love that. The pastries are actually being shipped in from elsewhere (they have exactly the same one in coffee shops out in Naperville too lol). Which leaves nothing special here. It's also very small so it gets crowded and swamped pretty fast. You're really constantly stepping out of someone's way when you're just waiting for you order, so that's not ideal either. Likely won't return.

Today I made an exception and what a surprise I got. I sat outside with my dog Zeke, not knowing that friendly dogs are allowed inside (and they aren't required to drink coffee!). I ordered my usual cappuccino with hazelnut and stayed outside with Zeke, enjoying the sights and sounds of downtown Crown Point. My coffee was flavored with just the right amount of hazelnut and sweetness. I googled Ms Zolfo and found out she made national news for the goodness she spreads. Inspirational words are written on each coffee sleeve and she encourages people to spread it forward. She had a steady stream of customers while I was there. Most order their coffee to go. I chatted with her during a pause in customers and she revealed that she was hit hard during the covid pandemic and just recently re-opened the dining area, although she still hasn't brought back her food menu. The back wall is now full of cards and letters from customers who have thanked her for helping them. The little coffee shop truly is an uplifting place to start one's day.

This was a cherished experience!!!…read more Welcome to the neighborhood!! This establishment has been up and running for 4 months, and will be opening up 2 more locations. If you are into a cozy, I am home-like, close neighborhood esthetic coffee shop..THIS IS IT!! Amazing, Amazing, amazing! From the comfy couches and chairs. The warm lights and its rustic fixtures, to the selection of eats and sips, this spot has something for everyone! Every space, every corner has personality. It truly felt like I was visiting a great aunt in her stunning home living space. I was WELCOME HERE! A coffee lovers delight. A tea drinkers pleasure. And even for the lemonade drinker, there are choices to fit your pallet. There was so much to choose from. I selected a drink from their special January menu. It was called "Snowday". This sip had espresso, white chocolate, coconut, and cheesecake cold foam! It was perfect for a chilly day as today. I tried to sip as slow as I could to savor it all, but my mug was empty sooner than I anticipated. I followed up with a regular drip coffee (those have free refills). I was with company, and they ordered a decaffeinated coffee with oatmeal, and a cappuccino. The reports were that "the sips were good". There was another order of a Italian Berry Refresher. This drink scored high on the yum card as well. We sat for hours in a wonderful space, where I met wonderful people. Those in whom I spoke with report that are happy this establishment is in the neighborhood! No love lost to Starbucks and Dunkin, they have their place in the world. But, if I can be biased with my review and encourage all to stop in to this lovely spot-scurry and hurry. Lol Fun fact: Friday nights, there is a 21 and up situation that gathers in the back of this space. Live music, adult sips are available, and good times are reported. Wow! I made a mental note to check this scene out after hours on Fridays. Live music? Sign. Me. Up! Big thanks to Marion and Saaniya (I Hope I got the spelling right). These 2 dolls were working behind the bar/register making the magic happen. So kind. Friendly, and attentive! Marion answered all my questions and was very insightful and helpful! This place has depth. This place has a voice. This place has a story, this place softly speaks "come inside, there is so much to share and enjoy.." If you stop in, notice the paintings on the wall. An artist that lives upstairs painted them, and they are for sale. How cool huh? This place is a gem inside a gem, inside a gem. And to think, I literally woke up, googled "coffee places near me" and this place landed in my lap! You don't have to believe me, go get you some!

They are in a great location right near the train in downtown Flossmoor and they have lots of comfy seating. The holiday specials that are on right now are also worth a try! I just heard that the cafe has live jazz on Friday and Saturday night! They offer wine and other drinks later in the day so I'm looking forward to returning to see them operate in the evening.
