Encountered a nest of ground bees that was in the way of landscape lighting repair. I didn't want to exterminate the nest because I think that ground bees are beneficial. After searching on Yelp I called Bee's Knees and Noel was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She scheduled for a bee specialist (not sure what they are officially called) to come out in a couple days - very speedy response. Hadley arrived with all of her gear (including a brand new pink "bee suit") and very delicately and efficiently captured the bees, the queen and the hive. I have had a yellow jacket nest in my yard for 2 years and finally decided it was time to get rid of it. I emailed Bee's Knees last night and today they came and took care of it. The whole operation was amazing to see. Dan arrived and I showed him where the nest was. He used a vacuum to get the wasps out and then eventually was able to dig the nest out. It took a couple hours to get the whole nest out. He took the nest away with the wasps still alive and never had to spray chemicals. It is such a relief to have the nest gone and know that there is not poison in my yard and that I didn't have to kill the nest. Also it was cool to see what the nest looked like! I had no idea. Apparently they re-home the nest in an area with no people so the whole thing is very humane. This company is amazing! I highly recommend them! read more

Excellent company with people who know what to do. Nicole has experience with bees in all aspects. We had a small ground nest of red tail bumble bees that needed to be relocated. We first discovered this when a landscape crew starting running from a spot in the front yard. Their 1st reaction was to spray which we declined. The work was put on hold until we resolved the bees. I also have to state that when I put bee removal in my search here on Yelp to request a quote, the algorithm didn't bring up this company. I called this place first and they gave me an appointment in 2 days. They came on time and efficiently checked my place for nests which luckily I did not have. They went on the roof and checked outside as well. They vacuumed up the wasps that were hanging on my light fixture which they surmised that they were lost after entering and couldn't find the exit. We live in Lynnwood. Just a bit north of where the maps indicate they serve but they still helped us. Set up the appointment over email easily. We had a nest of something that could be bees and didn't want to kill bees by accident. It turned out they were wasps, just lots of them were newly hatched so smaller. And the nest was inside a blanket that had been sitting in the corner of the yard, the one part of the nest we could see was brown vs grey. So for us seemed like it could a beehive. But inside it turns out it was gray wasp paper like we have seen on the side of the house some summers. They were on time. Fully prepared with a special vacuum set up that allows them to clear out much of the nest before removal. And I saw all of the removed wasps alive and inside the clear container. I emailed them Saturday morning about a yellow jacket nest we had been ignoring all summer. Our house is outside of their normal service area, so I wasn't sure they would be able to come out, but not only were they able to come out, they were able to come out the next morning for only a slight fee bump for being out of their normal service area. He showed up right on time and was very professional and courteous. He even showed us a bumblebee queen that had been staying with the yellow jackets. He vaccumed up the fliers, removed the entire football sized nest, searched the rotten wood for any more queens that were "hiding", and even gave us tips for how to bee-proof our house.
