Bee's Bakery Cafe is a gem! We were on our way home from our road trip through Ahwahnee and stopped in for lunch with our two dogs. The service was lovely and the food was amazing! Food was good (except for the biscuit you can skip that). It was a little pricier than a Denny's for just a little "fresher" homemade taste. Service was iffy, I didn't exactly feel welcomed but I'm glad I stopped by and tried this local restaurant. You can tell the locals regular this spot. This is a very cute space with very ample seating in two rooms. The food was delicious. The staff was delightful. I had the Waldorf croissant. My husband had an egg croissant. The kids had waffles. We stopped in twice this weekend. First to try it out as it had been a long time since we experienced a good breakfast place in town. The second because we needed more to hold us over till our next visit. Let's start we location: when I say it's perfect I truly mean it. I would sit there for hours enjoying some coffee and reading a good book. They have ample space both indoors and outdoors. The 70's decor is so amazing. I love the use of all the different sewing machines. It's like looking at works of art while you enjoy a meal. Food: Day 1 we had the Country Fried Steak breakfast and the Sweet Heat Burrito. Day 2 we had Country Fried Steak (yes again) and the Mediterranean Eggs Benedict. The food was so so good! My favorite breakfast meals are Country Fried Steak and Eggs Benedict so imagine my surprise when I found a place that has both and they are actually both delicious! The Country Fried Steak is hand breaded to perfection. The steak is thicker than I'm used to, but that only made it better. The Mediterranean Eggs Benedict were a great twist on a classic. By changing the Canadian ham to prosciutto, adding the pesto hollandaise sauce, arugula and balsamic reduction and you have a masterpiece! I'd have it everyday if I could. We also had one of there Jalapeño bagels, it was different from most we've had in the past. This one didn't just have jalapeño on top of the bagel. It had the taste of the jalapeños in the middle too and for someone that loves jalapeños that's a huge plus! Service: The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They were on top of everything. Tables were constantly being cleaned and set up for the next person to enjoy. We will definitely be back every time we're in town. It's been years since Kate's left and that was the last place we enjoyed having breakfast. So for the last few years breakfast has been at home but after this weekend Bee's is our breakfast home. Friendly and sweet counter dude who took our orders AND recommended Mirror Lake Trail, for which I am so grateful! I'm sorry I forget your name, it's been a month :( *the chicken waffle: delicious! Wish the portion was bigger haha. The fried chicken was juicy, tender, and seasoned well. The sweet waffle complemented the savory meat perfectly. I tried visiting again before I left Yosemite, but didn't get the chance to. I'll definitely be ordering this dish again when/if I revisit Yosemite! This was my highlight food on this trip. *the banana foster waffle: this one's only ok for me, too much cloying sweetness. Get this if you specifically love bananas, nuts, and caramel. I'll probably stick to berries and whipped cream if I ever want sweet waffles. The decor is beautiful and has a ton of wonderful details to admire, there's lots of love and soul in this place! The sewing machines, the wall arts, the brightly-colored seating area, the large windows... everything just came together to be such an inviting, cheerful, artistic space. I love how there's sort of two different areas divided by the wall of sewing machines: one side is colorful, and the other side (in front of the counter) more muted. Heard from the locals that Bee's Breakfast Sandwich is a must get when you're at Bee's Bakery Cafe. My friend and I were so glad we got this because it was so delicious! It's pretty big so we were able to share 1 order. They have other delicious items on the menu as well such as cinnamon rolls, breakfast burritos, eggs benedict and waffles. This restaurant has tables and chairs inside and outside the place. The staff is very nice and friendly. There's free parking in the ginormous lot in front of the cafe. This is a favorite every time I visit bass lake. I always make it in to grab a breakfast pastry--which are amazing. I just tried the breakfast items last week for the first time and wow! That was one of the best breakfast burritos I've had. I didn't know what I was missing but let me tell you. Once you've had gravy in a breakfast burrito you won't be able to go back. Also I tried their potatoes and I have no idea how they get them that good. They seem crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Highly recommended! read more

It had a good amount of gravy , eggs , bacon, and potatoes. I ordered a side of chili crisp but got spicy aioli instead (still good though), but the bottle of habanero sauce they had at the table really hit the spot. The summer waffle was large and loaded with toppings. Best part was the softness of the waffle. My iced lavendar latte was also good! Wait times can be long during busy hours. To start off, I am giving a 4 instead of 5 because it took almost an hour for my wife to get the Classic American Breakfast and Bee's Breakfast Sandwich. I am very patient when it comes to food but an hour for Eggs, Bacon, Sausage and Toast. The food was good but the winner truly is the baked goods. We picked up the Raspberry Danish and the amazing Cinnamon Roll! Raspberry Jelly tasted fresh - a little sweet and a little tart. The Cinnamon Roll I could say is just as good as Cinnabon, if not better!!! The chewiness and drizzle of Caramel really set it off the top for me. Cold Brew was okay and the signature seasonal drinks are okay but great for those trying to get their coffee fill! I am not sure if it was just the day, but the service was okay. The employees kept talking to each other while taking my friend's orders which caused them to not have their order correctly. We were also missing a handful of food items that we were charged for. If ever in the Oakhurst, CA area and looking for a locally owned breakfast spot I recommend Bee's Bakery Cafe. The cafe is casual and was quite busy for a Saturday morning. Stood in line to place my order and self-serve seating, while I waited with a number at my table for my order. Service was good, nice enough and checked on us while we dined in. I ordered a veggie breakfast burrito and lemon blueberry danish. I really enjoyed my veggie breakfast burrito, as it had crispy tater tots, grilled onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, cheddar jack cheese ...all wrapped in a flour tortilla for $13 (see my pic). Moderately size portions, that I saved part of the burrito for later. Skip the regular coffee, unless you like it a little bland (probably added too much water to the brew) and low on the caffeine content. Free parking lot. Decor inside has antiques from the 70-80's (and possibly older) as I saw my Mom's Corelle Spring Blossom plates/cups featured in the cabinets here -which I found kinda cool. read more

The avocado toast was great too since they added more like chili crunch and feta to enhance the flavor of the avocado. Food was priced reasonably too. The place inside is cute, there is a couch area for a comfortable nook where it makes sense to eat some pastries and drink coffee. Loved everything here! Came up to Yosemite for the weekend and stayed in Oakhurst. Found this perfect bakery and breakfast cafe! We had the best bear claw, cinnamon roll, the bee's breakfast platters, blueberry pomegranate smoothie, and the cinnamon bun latte. All 5 Service was incredible! My friends and I arrived at Bee's for lunch after a morning hike at Yosemite. I ordered the veggie omelette with toast and hash browns. For somebody who had just come back from a two-mile hike, it was a great portion and was very filling. I especially liked the mushrooms and caramelized onions in the cheesy omelette. The servers were all very attentive and kind as well, and the wait was not too long for our food (for a party of eight). My party was helped by Tyler, and he was very accommodating toward my vegetarian friend and listing the options available to her and adjusting my friend's coffee order. This place is very cute. Pretty busy when we arrived, but we didn't wait too long for our food. Staff was very nice for how busy it was. The orange juice was very good definitely tasted fresh. Stopped here for breakfast after leaving Yosemite to head back to LA and so glad I did. The service here is the friendliest I had had the whole trip. You order at the counter and they bring you out the food. The specialty coffees were great. The pastries looked to die for, but I skipped them knowing I wouldn't have room for any. I ordered the sweet heat breakfast burrito and it was the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. We visited Bee's Bakery Cafe while staying in Coarsegold and absolutely loved it! The interior was spacious, with plenty of seating, and many cool antiques. They had an entire wall of old sewing machines and an antique washing machine in the corner. The menu featured an assortment of specialty coffee drinks, which all sounded amazing. I ended up getting an Iced Raspberry Almond Latte, Avocado Toast, and Lemon Blueberry Danish. Service was friendly, but not the fastest, since the coffee shop was pretty busy. My Raspberry Almond Latte was very tasty and flavorful. I also really liked the Avocado Toast, which had a generous amount of feta cheese. The avocado wasn't really spread on the bread, but I didn't mind. The Lemon Blueberry Danish was also delicious, and my friends all loved their items as well, including the Honey Lavender Latte, Breakfast Burrito, Red Velvet Cookie, and Blackberry Danish. This is a cute cafe in Oakhurst for brunch. It gives the vibes of visiting your cool grandma's house, especially with all the sewing machines around and cool knick knacks. I got the fish and chips, which was pretty good. The breading wasn't too thick and the fish was flavorful and soft. The portion was generous. My friend got a chocolate croissant, which was at least 2-3x the size of your average croissant and was also good. The food came out quickly, but they were definitely backed up on drinks. My friends had to follow up about their drinks because they didn't come out for 10-15 min, and they somehow forgot my drink entirely? I didn't have my receipt to point to but still had the number on the table to show. And then they turned around, found it, and handed it to me. I guess it was sitting there the whole time? I would have liked if they said something like sorry for the inconvenience or similar but it's whatever. The drink was ok. It was a latte with flavored syrup. Bee's Bakery definitely exceeded our expectations. We went there both days we were in town and it was fantastic both times. It is such a cute space, the decorations are very retro feeling and the wall of old sewing machines is super fun. The first day we were preparing for a day on the lake so we all had a heartier breakfast. All the adults have breakfast sandwiches and the kids had the kid's breakfast with pancakes, eggs and sausage and avocado toast. The clear favorite was my regular breakfast sandwich, with aioli and gluten free bread (which they don't charge extra for). We also got two espresso drinks, pumpkin pie and hazelnut, that were fantastic. We came back the following day to get their massive chocolate croissants for our girls. Unfortunately,I didn't see any in the pastry case. When we got to the front I asked and the sweet young man at the front ran back to the kitchen to check on their eta. He informed me it would be 30 minutes because they just came out of the oven and had not been glazed or powdered yet, or he said we could take them without as they were still filled with chocolate. The food was absolutely fabulous! We tried the Bear Claw, Biscuits & Gravy, Denver Omelette, and Bee's Breakfast Platter -- all were 5/5 stars. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The seasonings were perfectly balanced, making each dish stand out. The only reason for the four-star rating is the coffee experience. We ordered a latte and an espresso, but they didn't arrive until halfway through our meal -- only after we asked about them. The server in the dining room seemed irritated by the question and replied, "Yep, they are coming," before returning shortly with the drinks. Unfortunately, the espresso was cold. When we mentioned it, the barista seemed too busy to care. Thankfully, another kind and attentive server took care of us and reheated it in the microwave. Cute diner. You order at the front and they bring you your food. The place has a bunch of old sewing machines throughout the store and forest animal wall paper in the bathroom. The staff were super nice and accommodating. They also had outdoor seating that was friendly to dogs. There were a couple of us with our furry others. The restaurant looked like they had a bunch of delicious pastries. We wanted a warm breakfast so opted for a Meat Lover's Breakfast Omelette with tots and sourdough bread, as well as the Chicken Fried Chicken with red potatoes and a biscuit. We also got 2 mug coffees (very much diner coffees... we went and got coffee afterwards down the street). The food was ok but nothing to brag home about. The biscuit was sweet so it was kind of odd to eat with the gravy (which was pretty generic) but was delicious for dessert. They have decent, but pretty generic diner food. If we came back, probably will just get a couple pastries to go then get coffee down the street. read more

We were up here for a few days visiting Yosemite. This café is close to the hotel. We were staying at in Oakhurst. We decided to try it for breakfast. I got a sugar-free vanilla latte and a breakfast burrito I also picked up a piece of the coffee cake because of the reviews. Everything was decent. I can't say that the food is bad, but I can't say that it was more than just OK. The burrito was warm. I like how they grilled the tortilla. I would not get the coffee cake again as it was super dense and lack any essence of cinnamon. We would typically get in a coffee crumb cake and my latte had absolutely no taste. I should have to preface that I come from Los Angeles where I have a plethora of amazing eateries that has spoiled me rotten. My taste is accustomed to amazing food. This is nowhere near that, but if you're looking for something that fills your belly and isn't trash, try it out just don't have high expectations. read more
