    How my meals were delivered.
    Andrea J.

I gave this business a try last week based on a recommendation and it turned out it be a good option for a healthy, affordable meal. The customer service I received was top notch, as they communicated with me about my order throughout the process. They delivered my food as scheduled, and it was professionally packed and ready to eat. I was surprised that I could get fresh food delivered directly to me at this price. I was impressed. If I could suggest any improvement, I was say to make these delicious meals available in larger portions for those who are not "dieting" or need a heartier meal.

If you are looking to jump start your healthy living journey, look no further! This place changed the game for me. I love to eat but I hate when I have to sacrifice flavor and substance when I want to eat healthy. This place has several options to choose from and the meals leave me full and satisfied. I often crave Tex Mex food and I can't resist the urge. The chicken enchilada soup and the chicken enchiladas really help. The enchiladas are not smothered in cheese like the restaurants but we don't need all that! We want our tummies flat and booties poked out in the back. This will help get you there! The lettuce wraps are one of my favorite and my go to. There are cashews in the chicken mixture that give them a great flavor and they are soft which I like. I've tried about 10 different entrees from Beefit and I've been back every week for more. I'll be a regular.

Since, this was my first time purchasing food here. I gave this place 4 stars. Why? It is a food prep place where food is already prepared to go, I wanted to try more of the food first versus another choice dish. I will try something else soon, in order to post the 5 stars. I had the Sweet Spicy Turkey Balls with rice. This entree combination came with a sweet sauce too, that was pretty good. This was my first time having this dish here or anywhere. I'm glad I stopped to purchase a dish even though I hurried to an event. I must say, flavor always goes further with me. The seasoning wasn't over done and the $5.00 dollar day, made my day. If the new year permits, I will pick up more dishes. A Word to Bee Fit, Foodie Kim

Very few options actually available from the ones present in the menu. The service was good, the ambiance was odd. Would not come back.

Be sure to check the expiration date on these meals. I ordered meals and one was expired and one was full of mold

This company is still using DMAA (dimethylamylamine) which was banned by the FDA in 2012. Buyers beware.

I love a good oyster po-boy, but it is hard finding one that is reasonably prices. And with ACTUAL po-boy bread rather than sandwich bread. A place like this is hard to come-by with a true New Orleans touch and even name (Calliope). This is officially my go-to spot for oyster po-boy. I do like my po-boys drenched so I will have to ask for extra sauce next time. I am excited to try their other cajun options on the menu next time :) I saw others inside eating their seafood boils.

App to find a new place to eat with no real feelings toward any particular place. Landed on Calliope's page and read the reviews. Looked good to me so I headed there. Restaurant is on the end cap of a strip plaza. Has a drive-thru as well (pleasantly surprised to see that on my way out). Parking is ample as most businesses were not open on a Saturday after 4p. Parked right in front. Dining room has about 6 tables for up to 4 people each, as well as two Hi-Top tables with seating for two each. Counter has 40" TV screens with the entire menu on them right above the cashier station. Menu cycles through pics of a few food offerings as well. Came because of the review suggestion of the Boudin egg rolls and the Suicide Shrimp Boiling Pot. Ordered both from the nice cashier who explained the entire menu, best sellers and offered modifications to the rice as well. After I paid for the order, was given a disc pager and took a seat. Dining room was clean and well lit. Waited about 15 minutes and the cashier motioned to me that my order was ready. She explained that the boiling pot sauce was placed on the side so the shrimp wouldn't be soggy and explained the other sauces that were included in my order, which were the boudin remoulade and the boiling pot garlic butter. I paid about $28 for the appetizer and main entree. They offer sliced cake, bottled flavored punches and Coke product fountain drinks, as well. It took me about 30 min to make it home and the food was still hot. The shrimp are small to medium in size; the fried rice comes with scrambled eggs, carrots, peas and onions (which I had removed). Boiling pot comes with one potato and a mini ear of corn with a boiled egg. Think: shrimp boil deconstructed. The sauce was mild flavor {offerings are Regular (no spice), Mild (medium spice) and Extra (chili sauce based spice)}. The sauce on the rice and shrimp were flavorful but I found even the mild to be too spicy for my taste (have acid reflux, so I actively avoid spicy foods). The rice was good (I added extra scrambled eggs, additional fee) and the plate is more than enough for two people. The egg rolls have cream cheese inside. Though not my taste, my roommate enjoyed it with the remoulade it comes with. Overall, between the cleanliness of the location, the service of the staff, the portion size, and value for money, I will be back to sample other items from the menu.

The inside definitely has a Cajun feel to it with the decor; very Louisiana. I was greeted and made the 4th quarter decision to get a muffuleta, chips and a canned pop. My order came quickly and I was on my way. The sandwich itself was BIG. Loved the olive salad. The cuts of meat were quality. Prices are reasonable Loved it. Worth the visit if you can.

So when I decided to give Angelo Z's a try, I came in hopeful but ready to judge with the precision of a seasoned shrimp connoisseur. First, I'll give credit where it's due: the place is designed beautifully. Clean, inviting, well thought-out décor. The staff? Top-notch. Friendly smiles, fast service -- the kind of welcome that makes you want to pull up a chair and stay awhile. But then my shrimp po'boy arrived. And that's where things took a turn. The bread was toasted -- yes, toasted -- which, for a Louisiana po'boy, is already a red flag. To make matters worse, it wasn't even the traditional French bread that's light, airy inside, and has that delicate crackle on the crust. Instead, it was a dense, over-toasted loaf that crunched like I was chewing on a roofing shingle. Then came the real deal-breaker: I bit in and realized the shrimp hadn't been deveined. At all. And for anyone who knows seafood, that black line running down the back isn't some "seasoning" -- it's grit and waste. One glance at that and my appetite clocked out. I understand I'm not in Louisiana anymore, and I'm all for creative spins on classics, but there's a line between "putting your own twist" on something and missing the fundamentals altogether. Unfortunately, this missed the mark in a way I couldn't overlook. Beautiful space. Wonderful people. But for me? A shrimp po'boy that isn't deveined, on the wrong bread, and toasted into oblivion isn't a po'boy worth coming back for.
