    Supposed to be yam porridge
    Ogo L.

It was a total mess. I asked for porridge yam and I'm not sure what they gave me . mashed yam or porridge soup. I'm not sure what to call it. See the attached picture. I paid for smoke turkey and they gave me fried fish. I believe this was a mistake as they changed that. The server was respectful hence the only star I'm giving.

$$$$$ Overpriced $$$$ I had the Egusi Soup with spinach. Meet was tough as hell ,seasoning was good. My wife had the seafood okra. It was over priced and slimy like snot. I will enclose photos. I was ripped off.. If it wasn't so high I would go back. Two small containers no drinks. $51.42 Extremely over priced. Never again

Oh boy were do I begin? I was really craving Egusi soup in the middle of the night and found B's African kitchen. Although I have never heard of it, I still didn't mind taking a chance on a new chef out there. My estimated order was about 45 mins which leads me to believe that orders may be made fresh but unsure. Once the package was safely at my home I devoured it! The Egusi soup was thick enough to the point where I can grab it with my pounded yam but still juicy enough to keep my meat nice and moist! it was so good I devoured it all not leaving anything leftover like I typically do when eating at my normal Houston African restaurants. Her flavor and season profile was so impeccable she has a guarantee customer! Please check her out! Order 45 min ahead!!!

Egusi soup with goat & Jollof rice with chicken.

So disappointed. I've been wanting to try Egusi Soup & Jollof rice for awhile now. I read the reviews. I did not have the experience, of great tasting food. I saw the reviews that said the goat was super tough, leaving it to be inedible. That was true in my case. Also, was the chicken, it wasn't just tough but dry on the outside & inside as well. The Egusi soup, was not a soup, I know that it is not to be watery like Americans are use to calling a soup,i have seen others a bit more sauce but was tasty. The Jollof rice, as another user stated, "meh" no spiciness whatsoever. It is cooked in an apartment highrise,so,parking was not easy to find, barely found metered parking. Hopefully the next Nigerian restaurant I try will have a better outcome.

I've ordered from this place a couple of times now and like the other review said it can take a while for the order to be complete, but the food does taste fresh and has a good taste to it. So far I've ordered the Egusi soup, designer stew, Efo Riro (very tasty), the spicy gizzards, and the Buka stew and I haven't been disappointed with any of them. Each meal is enough to fill you up and put you to sleep afterward.

    Soup WHERE, thooooo?

They took too long to prepare my food. It took a whole hour and no one was there except me and my husband. This makes no sense.

The food here is really good and tasty! The food promotions is decent! Despite it being located in a gas station, I still return back!

After seeing that one of the standard options had cottage cheese, I emailed the company to see if a vegan box was available. Within a few minutes, I heard back that it would be no problem. Yay, just what I like to hear!! Basically, you get a huge box of vacuum sealed Indian food packages with freezer packs to your door. You don't need to be home when it's delivered---just put it all in your freezer before you go to bed that day. (The packages are relatively compact--you won't need to clear out your entire freezer like you would with freshly). My first meal with red kidney beans was great. I followed the directions to a T (1.5 minutes in the microwave for the entree and gravy and 1 minute for the rice) and it was steaming hot. It tasted exactly like Indian food I've had at restaurants and friends' houses. I would fully recommend it! As compared to other services, I found the portions incredibly affordable. I don't know how to make Indian food on my own, so I've traditionally ordered vegan Indian food for $3/a can. I've also ordered takeout for ~$10-15 per person. This comes out much closer to $7-8, especially if you are not an especially voracious eater. Cons: One of the disadvantages is that the directions included with the package can be a bit confusing if you are not super familiar with Indian dishes. I didn't know exactly what the "gravy" was from the "entree" I sent this in the feedback form that rotizen emailed me, so I hope this will be included in future boxes.

The parking was a bit of a challenge, but it was easy enough because it was a calm Tuesday morning. To get from the parking area to the store, you just take the elevator one level down, and then you're right inside. This place is surprisingly big, filled with all kinds of snacks, cookies, and coffee. The highlight for me was their shawarma breakfast wrap. It was top-notch and exactly what I needed. You choose between whole wheat or white pita, and it's filled with scrambled eggs, your choice of fresh or sautéed spinach, and they add potatoes as well. Then they top it with shawarma chicken, tomato, and a delicious sauce. For $8.5 it was worth every bite. Hands down, a five out of five. I also tried their coffee, which was just a standard brew sitting in ice for hours and nothing special. At $2.50, it was fine, but nothing to write home about. The real stars were the cookies. I got a coconut pecan cookie and an almond crunch cookie, and both were absolutely delicious. I didn't have time to explore the whole store, but there was a great selection of fresh produce, chocolates, and all sorts of small treats. Overall, the staff were really friendly, and the entire visit was smooth. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Five out of five stars!

Plenty of healthy and not so healthy but delicious options, the breakfast chicken shawarma wrap was a great way to start the day with fresh squeezed orange juice.
