Walking in to Luling City Market in this tiny old town was almost like walking back in time for us. This no frills little café type of restaurant where you actually walk into the smoke room to order you meat. The smell was overwhelming but in a very good way. Gave us chills as we inhaled the wonderful smell of slow smoking meat and we ordered some brisket and pork ribs to split. We our meat on our platters, we went outside the smoke room to pick up some drinks and sides of coleslaw and potato salad. This was some of most heavenly BBQ we have had in a long time. Moist with lots of flavor and well worth the very reasonable price. The sides were nothing to pass up as well. Really tasty! Luling City Market was definitely worth the stop for lunch and next time we are going up that way, we are definitely stopping for another delicious lunch.

I had the half chicken with coleslaw and my mom ordered the sliced brisket with beans and potato salad. Although our bill was over 50.00 for 2, the menu reflects a different price point. Tl;dr: addicting muffuletta!!! About $12 for a whole, could feed 2 people or 1 very hungry person…read more(like myself) Popped into Angelo'z for lunch post finals and couldn't decide between either a supreme or muffuletta-- well having never had a muffuletta before and dreaming of travel and a New Orleans experience, I went with that. The muffuletta was made to order and took less than 5 minutes. It was served warm and was SO GOOD! Layers of meaty, salty goodness accented by the brininess of the pickles and olives. I easily finished half the sandwich for lunch and will likely have the other half for dinner haha. Their whole muffuletta is the priciest sandwich on the menu, but could probably reasonably feed 2. Angelo'z also offers rotating daily sandwich combos-- order the sandwich of the day and get chips and a drink for $10. Chip selection includes Lay's, Zapp's, and Kettle. If you're in a rush, many of their popular sandwiches it seems, are available to be grabbed from the case. Also in the case are a variety of sides, like deviled eggs or pasta salad... cookies and cake for dessert, too! COVID safety: all employees wearing masks and hand sanitizer available. Some seating inside available. Next time I'm craving a sub sandwich, I'll be sure to be back!

The inside definitely has a Cajun feel to it with the decor; very Louisiana. I was greeted and made the 4th quarter decision to get a muffuleta, chips and a canned pop. My order came quickly and I was on my way. The sandwich itself was BIG. Loved the olive salad. The cuts of meat were quality. Prices are reasonable Loved it. Worth the visit if you can.

There is something about their garlic butter that feels simply magical. I do not know what they do to it, but it is some of the best I have ever had. Everything is always cooked perfectly and seasoned just right, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The only downside is that the wait is usually longer than they estimate. They might say 15 to 20 minutes, but it often ends up closer to 30 to 40 minutes. That being said, the wait makes sense because they are always busy, and honestly the food is well worth it. The staff is always so friendly, the service is great, and the whole setup adds to the experience. The food park where they are located has a cool, relaxed vibe, and grabbing food from their truck always feels like part of the fun. Everything about it feels welcoming and laid back, which makes the food taste even better. Hibachi Bros is one of those spots you keep coming back to because it never lets you down.

MO CITY MAC BOWL HITS!!!…read more We are regulars here specifically for the Mo'City Bowl with Oyster Mushrooms ONLY. We've tried it Hotlanta style twice and this is our first time getting it Buffalo. It's executed well every time. I will say the prices are higher than expected for a food truck and for the portions. We've got the Magic City Chikn Sandwich with Oyster Mushrooms and the HAV Classic Chicken Sandwich, they only put 1 slim piece of the mushroom on it, both times. Mind you, that meal is damn near $22 with the upgrade. It is good but for the prices, they should offer the soy free options for free. The ambiance is cool. The truck is located in a cute little parking lot. The service is cool, we never really had any issues or instances where we had to encounter them. The last two times we ordered were via online. My rating.... The Mo'City Mac Bowl is the best on the menu and consistent. I HIGHLH RECOMMEND it.

Okay, I'm giving it five stars, even though I threw my sandwich away after the first bite. There…read morewas mayo in that bite. Communication was a struggle on both ends. I tried to get the man behind the counter to understand that I wanted half a muffaletta, with no mayo. I expressed this in several different ways, because the confused expression on his face indicated that none of it was registering. In the end I gave up and accepted the whole, giant sandwich wheel. It wasn't till I got home that I realized he'd misunderstood more than just the size I was asking for. I can't tell you how much I despise mayonnaise (unless I'm having a BLT, and am thoroughly in charge of the application of the condiment). Why would it even be an option, mayo on a muffaletta? It would be just as ridiculous to have to specify "no ketchup" on one. I don't mean to come off as overly dramatic, here, but that bite was more harmful to me than anything that has ever happened to anyone in the history of humankind. You're probably thinking, "He-LLO . . . Have you seen Schindler's List?" And you may have a point. I sat through that whole film just letting valuable hours pass me right by. But this sandwich thing was even worse. So, after all that bitching, why the five stars, Mike? Because I know it would have been good without the mayonnaise. And because I remember the old Antone's. Not gonna let one assassination attempt ruin that history. I can't go back until I'm completely fluent in Spanish, though. Como se dice "mayo" in espanol?

I received 1 baklava, 2 pasta salads (not ordered), and one macaroni salad. The lack of attention to the order was disappointing. The food: The mufalata is excellent, great flavor and value for the price. The 4 oz salads are too small and all of the pasta salads are bland, so I doubt recommend them. The fruit salad was great and very fresh and tasty. The hummus is lemony, but also gritty, so it depends on your preference on whether you'll enjoy it. The pasta salad is smooth, but tasted great. The cheesecake is meh, and tastes like it is just a basic store bought dessert. The baklava is super sweet, but good value compared to other restaurants. The Greek salad was very fresh and comes with plenty of shredded feta. I'd recommend Paulie's for the sandwiches, potato salad, and fresh salads. The desserts and pasta salads are not worth trying.
