I appreciated how she really listened to the things I was looking for instead of just finding any home that came up. She was quick to act when new potential homes came on the market and was very flexible with her schedule. Sheila made me feel like I was her only client and I know I wasn't. Not only that, but when I had concerns she helped me work through those, as well! She's very friendly, down to earth, and not pushy. She has a great attitude and really knows her stuff! I met her husband a few times. he was just as helpful and great with my 4year old daughter, too. They make a great team. I got the house I wanted and felt like Sheila pulled through for me on everything that came up! Looking for a home was stressful...But Sheila made it exciting. Who knew looking for a house could be so fun! I would HIGHLY recommend either of these two if you are looking for a good realtor. Sheila was the first side of the team we worked with when we began our exhausting and seemingly endless search for the "perfect home." She was extremely attentive (without being overbearing) and intuitive when it came to what exactly we were looking for. She made sure to keep all of our *must haves* in mind, while also suggesting places and things that we hadn't considered before. Even though we primarily worked with Sheila in the initial stages of our search, Ron joined us in touring many of the houses, and then took over as our primary realtor when his poor wife came down with the flu. Transitioning to working solely with Ron was so easy. It's obvious that the Dunagans are a TEAM, not two separate entities with different end goals in mind--and they make sure you feel like you are part of that team as well. They make sure they are well informed on each house they bring to your platter, they run you through your pros and cons lists, and they fight to give you the best deal at the end of the day. We never felt lost or confused at any point, because the Dunagans explained every minute question we threw at them. Furthermore, Ron and Sheila always made us feel like we were the only clients they tended to at any given point! In this day and age, it is so easy to be completely absorbed in taking calls and messages on the phone, but they made it a point to keep their attention solely on us. When WE were the ones bugging them on the phone, they made sure to respond quickly and efficiently as well. Again, we HIGHLY recommend these two if you're searching for honest, hard-working, knowledgable realtors. They are the absolute best.

They handle many small tasks in-house as part of their fee, seem better at gauging reasonable market rates, and the vendors / contractors they have recommended have done excellent work at fair prices. I have confidence that the properties are being well maintained and that tenant issues are handled promptly. I have 2 duplexes = 4 tenants, and had to leave Austin in 2010. Have had 2 other property management companies since; one kept costs low by ignoring long-term maintenance that the tenant didn't report, the other outsourced everything ($114 to put mylar numbers on mailboxes!). With property taxes and insurance skyrocketing, I had started to go cash-negative -- until hiring Tx Property Manager. Now have the cash for preventative care like exterior painting that become more expensive when delayed.

Jennifer is non-existent. Before signing a 2 year lease with these folks, Mollie, the agent that showed us the home, assured us that the falling, dilapidated fence would be repaired, as well as the gutters that are broken, missing and in dire need of replacement would be repaired, as well. The carpet was stained with pet feces and urine - we were told that would definitely be pulled up as it was ruined. Nothing was done. No repairs, after multiple requests, were ever made. When I attempted to contact Jennifer, I was met with "I have been out and inspected the house and no repairs were needed." I sent photos of the fence that was literally falling over in several places. No response. The neighbor repaired the fence on her own and is seeking half the cost from the management company. I've been told by another neighbor not to expect anything from them, as a large tree limb fell on their car, totaling it, from this lawn and it took almost a year before they were even able to communicate and remedy the situation. 1.8.25 I have been out of the house for a year now. I appreciate their casual demeanor and openness when dealing with the vagaries of being the in-between person/company (perhaps the other reviewer doesn't understand that they still have to check with the owner regarding what is being done to his own property--that the owner can dictate those terms?). I've dealt with so many owners and property management companies over the years in Austin and in Boston, and Welcome Home Leasing is by far the easiest, professional-yet-relaxed group I've had the pleasure of working with.
