Hesitant in buying anything frozen, but not anymore with Becerra's Tamales. Following its reheating directions to a T, a great meal they make within 20-30 minutes. Absolutely delicious are these Tex-Mex handmade tamales. Plenty of tasty meat or seafood wrapped in their fluffy masa. "Mesquite Smoked BBQ Beef" being my personal favorite. CHEERS! read more

I selected this vendor due solely to the overwhelmingly positive reviews that I read on Yelp. Sadly, I did not experience the same amazing experience that everyone else did, and I wanted to provide my experience in the event that most of these other reviews were fake. I placed an online order for Christmas Eve tamales. This vendor has a limited supply, so it is a first-come first-served and you have to pre-reserve your tamales approximately 5 days in advance. Due to the limited supply, the website reservation system sold out in about 15 minutes. I ordered 1 dozen pork, 1 dozen chicken, half-dozen jalapeno cream cheese, and half-dozen veggie. The vendor provided explicit instructions that pickup would occur between 1pm and 4pm on Christmas eve. Fast forward to the day of pickup .... i arrive after driving all the way out to the pickup location to find that nobody was there. I called the vendor and was notified that my tamales would not be ready until 6pm. If I had not called, I would have had no way of knowing that the pickup changed. This was a terrible lack of communication on their end. Being Christmas Eve, I gave them the benefit of the season and rearranged my day so that I could accommodate the vendor for a later pickup. At 6pm, there is a line around the pickup location that is very long. Evidently nobody's tamales were ready at the original agreed upon time. I am still trying to keep spirits high because it is Christmas Eve after all. After waiting for approximately 40 minutes, the vendor tells me that he decided not to make any veggie tamales and that he didn't have my full order. I asked him for a replacement because I needed a full 3 dozen tamales for Christmas, and he rudely says that he can't do that and would just refund me. I am livid at this point because I was basically told that my order was not important enough to make even though I went out of my way to accommodate his lack of preparation and timeliness without complaint. The vendor told me that he would issue a refund but no refund has been confirmed by my credit card to date. I was so incredibly disappointed by the poor customer service here, and I will not be returning. I cannot recommend this tamale vendor and would advise you to avoid relying on them if you actually need your tamales on time. read more

Best Mesquite Beef Tamales EVER! Becerras is the absolute best quality tamales money can buy. You have to try them. read more

We read about these tamales in the paper. Today we bought a package of the veggie option. Wow - they are vegan, and taste absolutely awesome. We also tried all of the sauces - we got the BBQ Serrano - the best BBQ sauce I have ever tasted. We met this group at the Saint Michaels's Farmer's Market. I know whose tamales we will be having for New Years! read more

I just recently visited the St. Michael's Farmers Market and I had the pleasure of trying Becerra's Tamales. They are delicious! There were so many choices too. So far my favorites are the shrimp and crab, red hot pork, and jalepeno cream cheese. They are fresh, full of flavor, and filling (a great ratio of meat to masa.). I also enjoyed the Serrano salsa and hot jalapeño salsa paired with the tamales. There is a variety of choices and I can't wait to try them all! read more

These tamales are AMAZING! I especially love the cream cheese jalapeno and the smoked brisket ones! We tried mild salsa and the bbq sauce that they also sell, which both paired awesomely with the tamales. 100% will be ordering more. read more

Amazing flavor and just the right spice! The gulf shrimp tamales are soooo good! Loved the jalapeño and cream cheese also. Looking forward to try the others. Hands down best tamales I've ever had! read more

Victor was extremely rude to me at the St. Michael's Farmers Market this morning. I've never tried his tamales or salsas. I had researched his food on his website so had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to purchase. I had my wallet out and asked about one of his salsas. He belittled me with his response like I was stupid with my question. He was very rude. I had not done anything disrespectful to him so I was stunned and could not react for a minute. I put my wallet up, got my cane and walked away. I really did not think I should have been treated this way and not a good way to start my day. And not worth my money to purchase anything from him. read more

Best Tamales in FTW! The Jalepeno Cream Cheese are my favorite! Ordering online was easy & all Becerra's products are fresh & delicious.

WOW!! These are THE BEST tamales I have ever eaten! I have tried them all and they do not disappoint! My favorite are the smoked brisket paired with the Serrano BBQ sauce made by Becerra's. I also recommend the jalapeño cream cheese tamales~these are uniquely incredible! You owe it to yourself to give these a try. All of the sauces are crafted to complement the different tamales and are extremely enjoyable by themselves as well. Welcome to Fort Worth. Becerra's Tamales!!! read more

I love these tamales. I believe they are the best in DFW. The guy that I deal with, which I believe he is the owner is very nice. He wait for me and my son one Saturday, to get tamales as he was preparing to go to another city. read more

never got to try their tamales. ordered 5 days in advance. got a call from Victor at 1pm day of pick up Christmas Eve, and said he would deliver them to my house by 6pm as they had system issues. 7pm nothing, 9pm, nothing. I called and texted and each time said he was on his way. finally 10:15pm he said he would bring them by noon the next day. I told him I had family coming at 10am next day, Christmas Day, and they were expecting tamales. So he said he would drop them off in 40 mins. 5 minutes later I got an automated text my order was cancelled. I called him and he said he cancelled because he could not guarantee a delivery time. Very disappointed in the lack of communication! I get things happen but at least let me know, don't leave a customer hanging clueless about their order. First time ordering here and probably last. read more

Delicious tamales. I think they have the correct ratio of filling to masa. My encounter with Victor was very positive. He knows what he is doing and pays attention to the details. We ordered several different varieties. My favorites were the spicy pork and cream cheese and jalapeno. Even masa was a bit spicy with spicy pork. I admire the vegan ones for those who follow a special diet. They were good but not my favorite, I missed the fat of cheese. I'd love to see an additional spicy mushroom/eggplant filling in the spicy masa. I think that might be a home run. His chili con carne was also fantastic. Becerra tamales are a great addition to your holiday table or any time. ORDER SOME TODAY! read more

I called to ask about the price of thier Tamales. The guy on the phone was rude I called to ask how much they sale a dozen for. He said we dont sale them by the dozen. We sale them by half. I said how much for the half dozen. HE HUNG UP ON ME. I've never had someone be so rude when your trying to give them business. Then I called back and he kepts forwarding me to voicemail. I would never use this establishment. read more

It's been almost 40 years since I've had tamales this good! Correct ratio of filling to masa. Meat is flavorful and juicy - with enough spices. I have searched for a LONG time to find a place that could make beef tamales like what I grew up with. I have finally found them with Becerra's Tamales. I like the pork and the crab and shrimp, but I am IN LOVE with the brisket tamales. Seriously will make you swoon. read more

Fortunately they are only open Sat mornings or I would eat here everyday. Great tamales for all tastes, brisket, pork, veggie and more. They use pure and healthy ingredients, smoke their own brisket and the chili is delicious. Must try!! read more

Reviews don't lie! Some of the best tamales we have had in DFW area. There is another brand that you can get in Whole Foods by the name Padrino which is also pretty good and more accessible but this is the bomb! Only complaint I have is they run out fast at the farmers market. read more

The smoked brisket tamale and veggie tamale are exceptional! Actually, all of the tamales are very, very good! Ditto for the salsa and bar-b-q sauces! Ingredients, production and presentation are well managed and first class! The owner of this small business has done it right ... He and his company have a bright future! read more

These are THE BEST TAMALES!!! Customer service was Great! I have order many tamales in the past but these tamales by far are the best ones.

Deliciosos! I just had some vegetarian tamales from this stand today and loved them! I also got a frozen green chile chicken dozen to heat up for dinner some night this week. Great people too (very kind)! Go at least one Saturday this summer, and get there earlier for the best selection before they sell out. The market goes from 8am to Noon. read more

These tamales are as good as it gets, folks. Stuffed with delicious high quality ingredients! Christmas is celebrated on Christmas Eve with my family. Our traditional meal is tamales, rice, and beans. I have been left feeling unsatisfied for some time now, as my dietary expectations have evolved. I cannot bring myself to eat the neighbor's cousins mother in law's tamales anymore. I just don't know what kind of ingredients they are using. Then I found Becerra's and my void has been filled. My tummy too! The best part is, my vegetarian husband can also eat these tamales and LOVES them too! Even my 3 year old son went crazy for them. Totally worth every penny!!! read more

These tamales are delicious! And nothing beats ordering them for delivery and having fresh hot tamales show up at your front door! Highly recommend the service and the food. read more

Hands Down the Best Tamales In Texas and then you add they"re Salsa and you have absolute Perfection !!!

Wonderful tamales! Esp. like the veggie ones. And the Serrano salsa is wonderfully hot and delicious!

The tamales and salsa are amazing! And Victor is so helpful and accommodating. He delivered our Christmas tamales because we couldn't pick them up at the assigned time, and followed up to make sure we received them. No doubt, he's very busy at Christmas time, but still went out of his way to make sure we could receive our order. This is our go-to tamale place moving forward. read more

None better. Bottom line. I am from San Antonio and I can say I have never had a better tamale. The BBQ brisket is out of this world. I love the cream cheese and jalapeño. The gulf coast shrimp is very unique and tasty. The Serrano BBQ sauce is great on tamales, great on eggs, great on anything you put it on. The quality of the tamales and salsas is second to none! read more

These are so good. If you are in the DFW area, do whatever you need to do to find a Becerra's tent. You'll be glad you did!

Hands down.... best tamales ever. Fresh and flavorful. Becerra's does not skimp on the filling. No lard is used so a much healthier tamale than most. Don't miss their award winning salsa. Perfect amount of heat. It has become a kitchen staple for me. Delicious !! read more

Delicious smoked meat tamales! The barbecue sauce was a great way to top of the smoky meat. Just the right amount of masa.

By far the best tamales I've ever had! I took the brisket tamales with the Serrano BBQ Sauce and the chicken tamales with the Mild Salsa Verde to a couple of events over the 4th of the July holiday weekend. Everyone that tried them absolutely loved them. The thing that the stood out the most was the quality of the ingredients used and the fact that they were full of flavor from beginning to end. I was very impressed with the way Victor has managed to make the masa tastes so light and fresh, and also the use healthy ingredient options. The production and presentation for carrying them to social events was also top notch! read more

Best tamales I've ever had. BBQ brisket and crab/shrimp are both fantastic. Serrano BBQ sauce is exceptional also.

We tried Becerra's Tamales for this first time this weekend--wow! The tamales and the salsas are amazing. The family favorites were the Mesquite BBQ Beef and Gulf Shrimp and Crab tamales along with the Medium Jalapeño salsa. Love that the tamales are a healthier version (cooked without lard). I also had the pleasure of meeting Victor, the owner of the company. He was super nice and proud of his food. I can recommend this purchase without hesitation... read more
