This is a really awesome find if you're a Subaru guy/gal. They're a bit of a struggle to find as they are in warehouse buildings but they're definitely a hidden gem for subie drivers. They had a pretty big selection of foresters at the time I went in. I was really torn between two of them, they let me test drive both and we're super accommodating with all the questions I had. I've owned several subarus so I know what to look for when buying, the one I ended up selecting was super good shape for the year and had really low miles. I ended up taking it down the road to a Subaru franchise to get it looked at (just for peace of mind) apart from a few small things like the battery ect everything checked out. Upon returning we began the negotiation process which I usually dread, it was easy and they have me a great deal + new battery (: They also said I can come back when I'm ready for the big headgasket service in 1-2 years and they will give me a discount! A fair price for what you got, communication was easy, and never felt like I was being stiffed or manipulated. Purchased a 2011 Honda Odyssey from this place. Unfortunately, I really wanted the van and was told there was absolutely no wiggle room on the price AND I had to pay for half of a timing belt, splitting the cost with the business. The day after purchase I text Jordan to let him know the van needed all new shocks and struts and some were leaking, Which I had verified by 2 mechanics. I also had a huge bubble in my passenger front tire. I really trusted this place would use a decent mechanic but now I don't even think they have their vehicles inspected. 3 weeks after owning the alternator quit working... So $3000 dollars later I'm not impressed with this place at all. I would encourage anyone considering buying a vehicle here to take it to your TRUSTED mechanic. Because you can't trust theirs. I purchased a vehicle from Beaverton Auto Wholesale in October 2017. They were nice to work with, they had nice cars, their prices were fair and they didn't pressure us at all. My only complaint is that they were a bit disorganized - one example was that there were some exterior scratches that we were promised would be fixed but had not been repaired when I showed up to pick up the van. They offered to have a contact of theirs do the repair, but I decided it wasn't worth my time to drive all the way back out to Beaverton and wished they had just done what they said they would to begin with. About 5 months after the purchase the timing belt started going out and that was something they said had been replaced prior to our purchase. I wish I had contacted them right away because I found out later the repair was under warranty and the repair would have been done at no cost to us. I didn't realize the repair was under warranty and since I was out of town when it happened and had made plans for some brake work to be done by my mechanic anyway I had them do the work. Despite that, these guys were willing to work with me to share the cost of that repair. All in all I feel we have been treated fairly by Beaverton Auto Wholesale and next time we are in the market for a car will definitely check with them to see if they have what we are looking for. They are family owned; we worked with brothers Joey and Jordan through the sales process and later dad Carter regarding the repair and they were all three really nice guys. read more

As for the car I can't speak for that quite yet (so far so good) but I do plan on paying my mechanic to give it a once over just to verify it's in decent shape. The place is nothing fancy, but they have higher-mileage, high-quality used cars for sale, and they make sure they are in tip top shape before you purchase. Called this place about a vehicle. Person on the phone was very condescending and rude when I started asking about the vehicle. Got after me when I asked why his vehicle was priced well over market. His reply was that anything lower was an insult. Every vehicle coming out of their place has been way over priced. Was told by Jordan that they buy from auction, so mostly rental cars which are maintained by the rental fleet. These guys probably just give a wash & pass it along with little mechanical check over. To whom it may concern, I am writing this review based on a vehicle purchase from Beaverton Auto Wholesale. In August of 2018 I purchased a 2009 Subaru Outback Special Edition. It had just around 102,000 miles and I paid around $11,500. I travelled from northern Washington down to Beaverton to purchase this car. I examined the pictures online and all the details seemed great. Like most of their Subaru's they offer them with new head gasket, timing belt and a fully serviced clean bill of health. When I arrived at the dealer's location I inspected the Subaru and noticed right away that there was some body damage that had actually been photoshopped out of the pictures online? I asked the gentleman at the dealership why that had been excluded and he just said he had no idea that there was damage there and that he didn't mean to exclude it. It was odd because the damage was pretty apparent. He said he could have his friends body shop fix it for $50 next time I am in Portland. I still purchased the vehicle because $50 isn't much to fix that damage and it was only cosmetic. It test drove very well around the block and it drove well on the way home. Since bringing it home however, I started to get issues with the car. First issue was the tires. I noticed it had some wobble on the highway at around 75mph. I assumed they were just out of alignment. I had a proper alignment done at Les Schwab and it fixed my issue. The next problem was the TPMS light wouldn't come off. I took it to Les Schwab a handful of times to have them try to fix it. Eventually they just decided it was a console issue and I had to have it fixed elsewhere. I haven't fixed this yet and the TPMS light remains on to this day. Also, the airbag light came on and stayed on. I asked Beaverton Auto Wholesale about this and they informed me that specific problem actually had a recall and I could take it to a Subaru Dealership to have them address it at no cost. I ran into issues with this because the Subaru Dealership informed me my car had already received the recall fix and the light was a separate issue. The airbag light is also still on. Next, I had problems with the car making a weird screeching noise at the wheels and would smoke a bit after stopping. I thought I had a rock stuck in my brakes. I took it to Les Schwab and they informed me that it was the CV Axle Boot. I was surprised because Beaverton Auto Wholesale had records of the CV Axle being worked on by their shop before the sale. It cost me several hundred dollars to fix this problem. After that I had issues when accelerating. I would have a lack of power and stuttering. The CEL came on soon after. The diagnosis code reader told me that it was a misfire in the cylinder and I was recommended to get a tune-up. I had the tune-up performed and the mechanic informed me that he believed the spark plugs and spark plug wires may have been original due to their wear and overall burned condition. This was a bit concerning... I thought Beaverton Auto Wholesale had this car completely serviced?? My next issue is the one that finally killed the car. While driving home after work I noticed the car making a rattle sound while accelerating above 4000 RPM. After a mile the CEL, Cruise Light, Traction Light and Oil Light came on. I immediately pulled off the road and called a tow. I had it towed to the local Subaru Dealership to have them diagnose my issues. They informed me that the engine had a malfunction that caused oil to burn excessively, making it deplete my oil entirely. They informed me that my car would need a new short block or an entire engine replacement I purchased this car because I wanted a reliable, adventurous Subaru. I scoured the internet for weeks trying to find one that was represented as reliable. I found Beaverton Auto Wholesale offering a Subaru that was full-serviced and warrantied for a year. I have had my car for just 7 months and now it is completely dead. I do not know if Beaverton Auto Wholesale knew of the engine issues before selling me the car. I do not know if Beaverton Auto Wholesale warranties this kind of issue. I have tried to reach out a few times and have had no luck getting a response. I am not writing this review to get a response. I am writing this review to inform everyone that just because these Subarus from Beaverton Auto Wholesale are presented as well maintained and ready for your next adventure, the truth can be a bit more disheartening. read more

In August of this year, my daughter asked if I would accompany her to the Portland area to look at a very clean-looking 2008 Subaru Forester she found through an ad on Craigslist. We live in Seattle, where it is difficult to acquire a good used Subaru because of very heavy demand. She made an appointment with the owner of Beaverton Auto Wholesale LLC for the next day, told him we were driving down from Seattle, and received his assurance that he would not sell the car before our appointment. When we arrived, the car was ready for us to look at. Joey (the salesman and also the owner...I believe) had the Carfax information on the car, let us know that he would be available to answer any questions that we had, and told us we could drive it when we were ready. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, but instead, he provided us with some very useful information on what to expect in terms of maintenance on Foresters in the mileage range we were looking at. He then left us alone to look the car over, or any of the other vehicles they had for sale. We took the car for a drive, and Joey allowed us to take the vehicle to a mechanic for an inspection. The car was as clean as it looked in the picture and checked out fine with the mechanic. I should also mention that the quality of their inventory was very good. Beaverton Auto Wholesale does not have a fancy showroom. However, there are a good number of cars parked in a relatively small building. The trade for them must be lower overhead. The trade for the buyer is lower pricing. That was apparent from our research on similar cars at dealers in Seattle and in Portland. The negotiation on price was another positive experience. Like everyone, this is the part of car buying I like the least. Joey began with a very competitive price, but was also reasonable and fair in the negotiation process. We walked away from the entire purchase process with nothing but positives to say about our experience. I would recommend Beaverton Auto Wholesale to anyone looking for quality pre-owned vehicles and for a pleasant, relaxed, buying experience. For us it was so worth the extra time it took us to make the long drive and I would not hesitate to do it again. read more

I live in Seattle, and saw their listing on Craigslist. It seemed like a good deal, so I called and asked about the condition of the car, as it looked fairly clean in the images. I specifically asked if there had been any pets or smokers in the car, and was assured that it was a "very clean" car and in excellent condition. They said that they do a full safety and mechanical inspection prior to putting their cars up for sale and that everything had checked out fine. I set up an appointment to drive down and look at the car, and they offered $500 off of asking price for my trouble to drive down. When I arrived, the interior of the car was trashed. Trim pieces were broken, including the front and rear cupholders, as well as the child safety restraint covers. The leather had stains and pen/marker all over it, there was dog hair everywhere, and the carpet had been "dyed" (meaning badly spray painted with overspray everywhere). When asked about the dye, they noted that the gross spray paint feel would wear off and it would feel like soft carpet again after awhile. We were able to get them to come down another $400 to cover the cost of detailing and replacement cupholders. After a substantial test drive, we decided to purchase the vehicle, and got on the road on the way home. We made it as far as Portland, where we stopped for gas, and I noticed a burning oil smell. I immediately called back, since I had been repeatedly re-assured that if anything major came up after I left, they wouldn't just "leave me hanging". Joey, the guy we had been working with, said we could take it to their reputable mechanic to have it inspected again. We took it to Xtreme Auto (if you google them, they are a detail shop), where they did a cursory look in the engine compartment (not even bothering to remove the plastic engine cover to look at the engine), and said there was no oil leak, and it must just have been leftover smell in the cabin air filter. So we got a new cabin air filter and an air freshener. Yes, you read that right, they gave us an air freshener to fix an oil leak. Completely frustrated with Beaverton Auto Wholesale's great customer support, we decided to call it a day and head back to Seattle, where I scheduled a buyers inspection at a reputable Subaru shop, and a detail job. The mechanic found a laundry list of problems, amounting to about $2000.00 worth of repairs. I understand it's a used car, and there will be items that need to be fixed, but the top three that I find unforgivable include: past due for an oil change, battery on it's last leg, and torn axel boots that spray oil on the engine, causing the burning smell. These were immediate repairs that should have been addressed before the car was sold, especially if they are touting their "mechanical inspection". We called Joey to discuss, and after several unanswered calls and many voicemails, we got through, only to have him say he was concerned about the battery and axel boots, and needed to talk to his manager to see what he could do. That was the last we heard from Joey or Beaverton Auto Wholesale, despite several more unanswered calls and voicemails trying to reach them. Additionally, the detailer let us know that the carpet was ruined from the "dye" job, and we paid $400 to have them scrub the overspray off of all the trim work in the car. Carpet replacement will be about $500. All in all, I should not have purchased the car from these people. It is partially my fault because I had driven to Oregon, and didn't want to come up empty handed, so I bought into all of Joey's tales about how my concerns really shouldn't be concerns because they take care of their customers, do the safety/mechanical inspection, yada yada. For anyone else looking to purchase a car from Beaverton Auto Wholesale, let's just call a spade a spade. They are a schmoozy used car sales outfit that has low prices for cars that need a lot of money dumped into them They just need a cheap suit and they'd be the stereotypical used car sales men. read more

Never, ever, ever buy a car from Beaverton Auto Wholesale. I repeat. NEVER!. I was a naive first time car buyer and was bent over by these guys. Bought a 2009 mini cooper in which I noticed had oil under the engine as well as a noise coming from the tires. The sales guy told me he had "his guy" take a look at it and told me it was "residual" oil from work that he had done on it, as well as just a bad wheel baring (in which he claimed they replaced). However shortly after purchase I took the car to get a standard diagnostic test from a Mini dealer. Turns out the vehicle had three major oil leaks and all four tires need to be replaced. Got an estimated $6000 worth of necessary repairs. Beaverton Auto knowingly lies to you and has a clear disregard for their customers well being.
