My husband first spoke with Ray, who he felt he had an immediate connection with and easy, flowing communication about our vehicular needs. But Ray was going on vacay, and we couldn't wait until he got back to complete our car buying experience with him. Enter, Roy - Ray's bro. Roy was AWESOME. He took the time to REALLY answer my questions in a way that I could understand, and didn't try to push cars on me that were out of my price range. He was an excellent listener and ended up bringing out a car that day to our house for my hubby and me to test drive. Let me pause for a moment to say just how smart this business model is - I mean, with 2 kids under 4 years old, it's a PITA to get to a dealership and take turns test driving a car and then waiting around for hours to purchase the car while the kids go cray cray. Central Sales is part of Ron Tonkin (I think...), so they have a huge inventory of cars to pull from, which they bring to you to test drive, and then they arrange all the financing for you to find the lowest APR, and then bring the paperwork to you when they deliver the car. It takes about 10 minutes to sign everything. All for no extra fee. Brilliant. Other dealerships should take note. But what made everything so super was the truly no-pressure attitude of Roy (and I imagine everyone else he works with). He was super nice and completely understanding when I told him that we were also test-driving a car from another dealership later that day. He reiterated that he just wanted to make sure that we got into the right car for us. And I believed him! We ended up doing the whole take-the-kids-to-the-dealership-and-wait-an-excrutiatingly-long-time-to-purchase-a-vehicle thing. But only because the vehicle that was there was the one we wanted in the end. But we will DEFINITELY use Central Sales again when it's time to buy a car. Thanks Roy!

He found the car we were interested in and we took it for a test drive. It seemed to be perfect and decided to get it. Unfortunately, it took 3+ hours just to get through the paperwork. We negotiated the price, shook hands and signed on the X. Once he came back with the paperwork, he also came back with a mechanical disclosure. He proceeded to tell us all the problems with the car. The sway bars and bushings needed to be replaced. The water pump may have issues since thier mechanics noticed water spots around the water pump. What? We are spending over 16k for a car and NOW they disclose the problems? The salesman told us they just started doing things differently now. Well..that doesn't seem fair. We agreed on a price. I signed papers. We couldn't back out now. Rush hour was hitting and I wanted to get home ASAP. We ended up getting the car anyway and drove home. The car drove home fine. However, we have yet to fix the problems. Very disappointed with that process.

Instead, less than 40 hours after driving off the lot, the truck began overheating on my drive to Cabo San Lucas. What makes this even more upsetting is that Cascade Motors knew I was 8 months pregnant, knew I lived in Cabo, and knew I was making the long drive down Baja. Yet I ended up stranded in the middle of nowhere with a vehicle that immediately developed serious cooling issues. Since purchasing it, I've had to pay for a radiator cap, thermostat housing, coolant service, diagnostics, and multiple mechanic visits, while desperately trying to get the truck safely home. The vehicle overheats at idle, the check engine light has come on, and the A/C stops cooling when the engine temperature rises. I reached out publicly and privately hoping the dealership would step up and help. Instead, my messages were ignored. They watched my stories, continued posting photos of happy customers buying vehicles, and never once reached out to ask if I had made it safely or offer any assistance. No customer should spend this kind of money only to be stranded hundreds of miles from home--especially an 8-month-pregnant woman traveling alone. I expected professionalism and accountability from a dealership. Instead, I've been left with thousands of dollars in unexpected expenses, enormous stress, and a vehicle that began failing almost immediately after purchase. I'm documenting every repair, every expense, and every attempt to contact Cascade Motors. I hope they choose to take responsibility and make this right, because this has been one of the worst vehicle purchasing experiences I've ever had.

They had quite a few cars that had the price point and value we were looking for vs. a brand new price. Once we inspected the car and they fixed a couple issues, the paperwork was done quickly, with details explained and it was convenient to have them set up the licensing, etc. We recommend this dealer if you are looking for a quality used/rebuilt option that fits a tight budget. So yesterday afternoon we drove to Barron's Auto Sales and Details. It was pretty much love at first sight. Clifford at E&J skipped the BS and came down to a reasonable price on the first visit. Didn't try to push any extra warranties, packages, etc after I made it clear initially that I wasn't interested in anything extra & already had pre-approved finance from my credit union. If you want a place with solid cars that don't waste your time with the usual back-and-forth I'd give E & J a try.
