The food was an absolute delight, rich in flavor and the perfect dessert. Would recommend having it in the evening as the sugar crash is definitely real. I had the maple beaver tail with vanilla ice cream, which I highly recommend, however there are a plethora of options and combos you can do. The service and ambiance were also great!

The avalanche beavertail (marshmallow fluff, skor, chocolate) hit the spot. The poutine was fairly average leaning on the saltier side. A cool location to sit and enjoy a snack! We could see the water taxis coming and going frequently.

My goodness these beaver tails were out of sight!! The plain cinnamon and sugar beaver tail was my favorite. If you're near... be sure to grab one. You won't be disappointed!

Apart from the glorious poutine, this was the other Canadian food to try according to my quick non-scientific research. The smells walking into the place were intoxicating and had me salivating. Groups of families and tourists made up most of the guests. I ordered the MehPle, and my friend went with the BrWownie. The wait was about 10 minutes. The cabin-like interior and its open air design helped us cool down with the ocean breeze coming in. The MehPle was incredibly crispy, sweet, and gooey, a hot and oily pastry, and a familiar kind of snack like those found at a county fair. My friend said the BrWownie was also very good with crumbs stuck on her cheeks. All in all, worth a taste. Before we left, I rang a singular sound off their bell.

We knew we needed to try a beaver tail while visiting Toronto and were happy to find this location right on the waterfront and without a long line. Three of us shared two which was perfect for a snack. We had the Hazel Amour and Strawberry Cheesecake both of which were delicious! For those like us who haven't had these before, they are like a big flat donut that is a little crispy. It is not, as I had thought, like the US Midwestern elephant ear. At the risk of betraying my region, beaver tails are better! Seating at this location is outside on the waterfront which is lovely.

Tried the maple flavored BeaverTail in Toronto. The pastry was warm and fresh, but it had way too much topping, making it overly sweet. The flavor reminded me of a flatbread churro. The spot feels super touristy, and it would be nice if they offered a vegan-friendly option so more people could enjoy it.

Such an iconic place conveniently located near the harborfront. It's obviously a must try when visiting Toronto but the taste was fairly unimpressive. For a fried treat, I was expecting the dough to be much crispier but it ended up being a bit limp. We got the Bananarama flavor (banana with hazelnut spread) and found it a bit too sweet. If you have Asian taste buds like us, would definitely recommend getting the Classic for a slightly less sweet option.

Ordering a beaver tail was super quick and easy. With this location being near the water, grabbing one and munching on it by the harbor was super nice. The classic was thin and crispy. Some parts were too thin that it was like a crispy chip. I thought it would be more like a soft pretzel texture... It's an in-between texture between crispiness and medium, thick dough. I guess I expected more out of this for some reason hearing the hubs mention it so much. But then again it's just cinnamon and sugar. It's a gigantic cinnamon twist but in the shape of a beaver's tail. It's still a pretty tasty snack unique to Canada. Give it a try if you haven't had it before.

BeaverTails is a Canadian pastry shop in Toronto (that also serves poutine). This location is right by the waterfront with great views. Their pies remind me of the funnel cake/ elephant ear fried dough with delicious toppings like apple pie! It is messy ! I was not a big fan of the lemonade slushy, but would definitely recommend you try the pastries. Staff was incredibly friendly and the food came out quickly and was fresh. #canada #pastry #sweets

Service was fast and friendly. Went for some poutine before the Leafs game on a chilly afternoon. The inside was small but charming and it was out of the wind. The poutine was tasty and the cheese melted with the hot gravy. I got full and warm. My previous experience with poutine was in the US and it was so salty I could feel my fingers swelling up. The poutine at BeaverTails was not a sodium filler at all. I'll be back for the pastries, they looked amazing!

I don't care if BeaverTails is a tourist spot because I love the Killaloe Sunrise and get it every time I'm in Canada and nearby a BeaverTails store. Killaloe Sunrise is a fried flat dough pastry dusted with cinnamon sugar and a lemon wedge for you to squeeze the juice onto the treat. Essentially it's a big, flat churro. The lemon juice sounds weird, but trust me it works and that's how I eat my churros now. Highly recommended.

This morning I attended a Holiday Cheer Event at Beavertails; I was at this location's Grand Opening day in March 2016 when they offered free boat tours of the Inner Harbour (see 2nd pic. below). For the Event there was a choice between 2 comp. Beavertails (The Classic, Hazel Amour) as well as hot chocolate - also comp. - on offer. I chose the latter Beavertail choice and was very pleased; it was warm and fairly crunchy with great flavour. The venue is fairly small with limited seating: one table at the front and a few more in the back; their 2nd floor is not available to Customers. Service was very prompt and friendly and the venue appeared immaculately clean throughout. I thank Beavertails for the generous opportunity to partake in their products during the Holidays.

A must try when you're in Canada! Get a whole BeaverTail yourself. Don't bother sharing like my family did.

For being always packed the service is quick and courteous. And the food is super delicious. And I don't need to drive to Ottawa to get one!

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

I stopped by Kream after seeing all the hype on Instagram about the famous Korean "Dubai…read morechocolate." When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!
