Over a week ago a worker came into house to estimate a price of a very small 2 bedroom with no appliances, nothing heavy, except a couch and a bed, lots of bins and boxes No stove, refrigerator, no washer or dryer. Everything is boxed and ready to go. The quoted price was nearly 4 grand Moving is stressful in itself when you are single with a disability. So sad to see people treat others like this! My last three experiences were very disappointing, with inept, rude and incompetent sales help…read more Although I called in advance to double-check on supply availability and service, (to avoid a wasted trip out) upon arrival I was told that they did NOT have what I'd previously called to confirm and needed. On my second trip, I was told to come back because the manager was not on the premises. (Why they were unable to use the phone and call for assistance is still a mystery.) On my final trip, the saleswoman once again informed me that the manager was not on the premises also letting me know she did not know how to do the transaction required, and became defensive and belligerent... It was a simple return. Why would a manager leave someone in charge who was so obviously unqualified to do the job? Three negative experiences were more than enough to convince me to find an alternative shipper and supplier.

When my mother died during open heart surgery at Christmas last year I had to hire someone to move…read moreher things to my home and close out her affairs. ideal Movers attempted to take advantage of this situation and charge me $5000 more than what was initially agreed upon after sending pictures to the broker and to the Movers plus having a three-way conference with Ideal Movers and the broker. In the conference, by both of them, I was told "Unless there is a golden calf in the living room your invoice will not increase." on several occasions I asked the broker to speak with the movers and I got the runaround and basically got one phone call an hour before they were supposed to be there from Ideal Movers. in this phone call before the movers even got to my mother's condo they were trying to hustle me for more money, talk over me, steamroll me and intimidate me. Once they were all there they stayed for three hours in their truck arguing with me and it went from bad to worse. They tried to con my uncle into signing an acceptance invoice that they would do the job for $6000 after I refused to pay $8000, and then tried to con me and into sending a text message that I canceled. They told me I would never see my deposit back from the broker and that they had other jobs the next day when they were supposed to be working in my mother's condo that weekend packing and loading their truck. At one point they attempted a $5542 proposal to take only one bedroom of furniture, a few Pyrex bowls and a coffee table. This moving company is a complete scam, the owner is in Israel and good luck reaching him. It is a felony to attempt to coerce and threaten a federal employee. They have been reported to the Better Business Bureau as it was such a traumatic and unprofessional experience rife with racketeering schemes to intimidate and extort money-- particularly out of women.

I was fortunate enough to encounter Cliff who is the Territory Manager and he and his team there really went out of their way to help me get my POD removed from my old property and delivered to my new property in the same day as he promised. He assigned his BEST driver to do the job and he was great as well! Cliff and his team were FABULOUS! Now on the other hand the corporate team sucked it. Basically said it was my fault that the Pod was not delivered when I wanted it and that they could do nothing for me AT ALL! If I had not actually gone to the POD location I would still be waiting for my POD another 2 days. This is a logistics company for the most part and they really were terrible at it. They were willing to go out of their way 250 miles (waste of time, money and gas!) and make me wait over 7 days AFTER I moved in. Again, Cliff made it all happen and he really was positive about the company and was sympathetic to my problem with out blaming me! Love that guy and he understands that good customer service really goes a long way. Thanks again Cliff!!!!

We are selling our home and need to have all items off the property for long distance move to Fort…read moreLauderdale from MA. I originally asked to schedule it 2 weeks before move but pods rep recommended different and later days. Originally scheduled for Monday I received the drop off time, recieved no phone call except text message that order was cancelled due to lack of drivers and moved to Wednesday. Wednesday delivery time changed 4x. It was during the window of drop off and I received a message that the drop off was now rescheduled to Friday. For people that need to be off property how can they function like this. We need to ahve all items gone for home walk through Monday and now rushing to find another provider because we can not risk them rescheduling Friday again. They also said Wednesday cancellation was due to drive coverage.
