So I had originally given a 1 star review for my POD experience, but I actually went to the POD location where my POD was to be held in Ludlow MA. I was fortunate enough to encounter Cliff who is the Territory Manager and he and his team there really went out of their way to help me get my POD removed from my old property and delivered to my new property in the same day as he promised. He assigned his BEST driver to do the job and he was great as well! Cliff and his team were FABULOUS! Now on the other hand the corporate team sucked it. Basically said it was my fault that the Pod was not delivered when I wanted it and that they could do nothing for me AT ALL! If I had not actually gone to the POD location I would still be waiting for my POD another 2 days. This is a logistics company for the most part and they really were terrible at it. They were willing to go out of their way 250 miles (waste of time, money and gas!) and make me wait over 7 days AFTER I moved in. Again, Cliff made it all happen and he really was positive about the company and was sympathetic to my problem with out blaming me! This is a follow-up to my previous one star review. The POD finally left our driveway yesterday afternoon. I did have to make a trip to the Ludlow facility, 35 minutes from my home to speak with the Asst. Mgr, who rearranged a schedule, allowing the original driver to come pick up the POD. He arrived, negotiated the driveway and had the POD loaded in quick time. I am still only giving 2 stars, because of the time and expense it has cost me to get this resolved. We are selling our home and need to have all items off the property for long distance move to Fort Lauderdale from MA. I originally asked to schedule it 2 weeks before move but pods rep recommended different and later days. Originally scheduled for Monday I received the drop off time, recieved no phone call except text message that order was cancelled due to lack of drivers and moved to Wednesday. Wednesday delivery time changed 4x. It was during the window of drop off and I received a message that the drop off was now rescheduled to Friday. For people that need to be off property how can they function like this. We need to ahve all items gone for home walk through Monday and now rushing to find another provider because we can not risk them rescheduling Friday again. They also said Wednesday cancellation was due to drive coverage. read more

Don't use pods, first and last time going with them. Paid for a moving company to load the pod. The pod never showed up or called to let me know they were coming until I called to question them. I Lost $400 on movers along with taking the day off of work for nothing since pod never showed up. Lied to by the rep stating I would get reimbursed which I got $94 out of$400 which seems unfair. Only reason I agreed to the 2nd pod because the rep said I'd receive money off from them not showing. Called multiple times on pick up and drop offs since nobody could properly schedule the dates during pick up of full cart only one was picked up and buyers now have a pod in the driveway. Stay away from this company. It's a huge rip off with horrible customer service. read more

Be prepared to be disappointed and angered by PODS experience. 1. False advertising: Storage facilities are closed on Sundays, contrary to publicly stated business hours. If you store a pod at one of their facilities, don't plan to visit your unit on Sundays. 2. False advertising: To visit a pod at one of their storage facilities, you must schedule 48 hours in advance, not 24 hours in advance, as advertised. I experienced this personally, and no reason was given for the unavailability of my visit 24 hours in advance. 3. Long hold times: You may not schedule a visit to your pod except for on the phone. Expect wait times of 30-60 minutes, with frequent dropped calls. They will not call you back -- you must get back in line at the end of the queue and wait again. 4. False advertising: I was told that the storage facility was in Greenfield, MA. It was actually in Ludlow, MA, 40 miles in the wrong direction read more

Pods is a disappointment. Got one delivered and they set it poorly. Then couldn't drop it at apartment I was moving to. Apartment said they were too disruptive. And then couldn't find a storage facility willing to let one be delivered for even two days. When I told the pods rep about this. As it was never mentioned during the rental process. I asked " have you come across this problem?" She said. "Oh yeah. All the time". So if your not moving house to house. Make sure you can use it. Otherwise your out of luck. I had to have movers load everything out of pod back into a truck. Oh and the best part was they offered me no reimbursement I had to pay for the full month for the pod. Even though I was only 10 days into the second month and had explained the problem. All I can say is I'm glad I cancelled the second pod. And decided to just have movers do that part of move. Pods are disappointing. The adds make it all so nice and easy. I'll never bother with them again. read more

My pods process started off amazing in Florida but in Massachusetts it was horrible first of all no one called to confirm the day before or the day of and the day that they dropped it off they literally dropped it off two feel away from a fence like how does that make sense how can anyone fit to take anything out ?! After chasing the truck down beeping etc the guy looked at us and kept going ! We called pods who the charged us to come back out to fix it ! And when I asked why were charged they stated that we ask for it to be 6 feet away from the fence ! Yes that what we said but they put it two feet away !! I still haven't received a call email nothing from a supervisor even though it wasn't our fault ! Moving to a new city is hard enough and now you want to over charge for the drivers mistake! read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. What started off ok, ended awful. They caused so much stress and wasted time during a big move. First, the customer service is terrible- you sit on hold then the first person can't help so they transfer you to someone else only to say "we will look into this and get back to you" in which they don't, so then you have to call back and start all over. They supposedly record and keep notes of all your conversations and issues yet no one knows what's going on. My issues included one POD getting lost and not shipped across country, then being over charged $3,500 for a POD I didn't have, and a POD not being delivered at the promised time causing my unloaders to be paid for work they couldn't do bc the POD wasn't there! They were supposed to pay for my unloaders bc it was their fault and now they are saying the will not refund me. With all the issues and time wasted on the phone with me I would expect an apology and compensation of some kind. It's been terrible. Please don't use them, find a company with good customer service and sticks to their word. I move a lot and have lots of friends that move often and they will be losing a lot of business! read more
