My friend gave my 6 year old daughter a gift certificate for a "kids ritual" hair cut. We booked online, which was super easy and convenient. We followed the directions as provided and had no problem finding the place, which is a ways out of town towards Boston Harbor. The setting was beautiful - a creek runs through the property creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Once I stepped inside, I was transported to my Vecmama's house (my Latvian grandmother who is now deceased).......the smells were wonderful and I was in my happy place. The ambiance was so awesome. Sara-Ann was so sweet and genuine. She took my daughter back to the treatment room for about 20 minutes. When she came out for her hair cut, she looked like jelly, she was so relaxed. She said she had a nice scalp massage and had a wonderful hair washing. She did a great job talking to my daughter and asking about her and giving her the perfect hair trim. My teenaged son was with me and he enjoyed the foot massage machine in the waiting room. We ended up having her cut my sons hair as well. The prices for a buzz cut were a lot higher than other places (20) but I enjoyed the atmosphere and talking to Sara so much, I thought it was worth it. I also like shopping local. Every thing about this business is awesome. It is a drive out to her business and it is expensive (most salons are) but you get what you pay for. Although I can't afford her treatments on a regular basis, I will definitely come back for a treat for my kiddo every once in awhile and maybe me too! Sara-Ann is the best! I have seen her for sugaring, haircuts and chillax to the max. She's welcoming, attentive and cares about her clients and their comfort. I've had waxing in the past (other places) but she was my first sugarist. If you're considering sugaring this is the place to go. In my experience waxing was abrasive, painful, uncomfortable and left me with ingrown hairs and redness for days. I leave from sugaring pain free and just a little pink for a couple hours. Trust me, you'll never wax again! You get to lie down when getting your hair washed, how cool is that?! Her space is so cozy, you'll instantly feel like you belong there. The shop is clean and well organized and she has a great stock of products to purchase. It took me a few visits to realize she's closed on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. This is the place to go for hair removal! The process was almost painless, it was by far the best hair removal experience I've ever had. Significantly less pain than regular waxing. I've also had sugar waxing elsewhere but Sara-ann is definitely skilled in this technique and my experience with her was better than other places I've been. My skin was also significantly less irritated since it wasn't being scorched and ripped off by hot wax. Plus, Sara-ann is very personable and provides an overall great experience. read more

Sara-Ann is everything you could ask for, I go to beauty temple frequently for a Brazilian sugar. She is professional, and comforting in an uncomfortable process. But anyway, From the most relaxing facials on the planet, to sugaring - Sara Ann really knows how to take care of her clients. The Beauty Temple is the best salon that I have ever been to, without a doubt. Despite the fact that I moved to Seattle two years ago, I continue to see Sara Ann every 6 weeks or so to keep looking and feeling my best. I honestly couldn't imagine going anywhere else! 5 stars does not justify how fantastic my treatment at Beauty Temple last weekend was. Sara-Ann greeted me with a warm hug and I just knew my treatment was going to be heavenly. This was just not another 'customer-friendly' greeting. To begin with, I felt like I was on vacation at an Eco-Resort. The ambience itself will make you forget about everything else outside of your 'relaxed' space. Then there is the rejuvenating treatment with constant pampering from start to finish. My facial was customized to suit my interests and skin-type. Sara started off by giving me one of the most invigorating foot massages I have ever had. This was followed by a soothing back massage that eventually relaxed my nerves. The "ultimate facial experience" was more than just a facial. It was an experience unlike any other . Towards the end of the treatment session, my skin felt absolutely clean and my body felt relaxed and calm. I had almost forgotten what genuine relaxation felt like until I came across the Beauty Temple. Sara's passion towards making her clients feel revived is obvious when you meet her. I was referred to the Beauty Temple by a friend who spoke very highly of Sara-ann, so when I needed a drastic new haircut, that's who I called. Actually, I scheduled my appointment on her website, which describes all of the services she offers. How could I resist "The Haircut Experience"?! If you're gonna splurge, I say splurge on self-care. When I got to the Beauty Temple, which is a nice drive down Libby Rd, and into a beautiful woodsy setting, Sara-ann welcomed me to take off my shoes and relax. She asked me about my haircut wishes, and then guided me to the hair-washing room for the best head massage and hair washing experience of my life. I mean, having my head massaged is half the reason I get a professional haircut anyways, and its usually just by accident during the shampooing part. . . over a cold porcelain sink, at an awkward angle, surrounded by chemical smells, by a lady with fake nails, who comments on your ugly self-trimmed bangs, and combs your hair too roughly. This place is different. The hair washing room IS the massage room. The smells are nice and soothing, the massage is so relaxing, and you don't even have to leave the massage table for the hair-washing. An hour and a half later, my cut and style looks great; we took off like a foot of hair and Sara-ann offered to donate it to locks of love for me. Sara-ann gives such loving attention to you and your hair. I think that haircuts are about empowerment, taking control of what you can, and Sara-ann cares far more about this empowerment than I think most stylists do. It's all about you and your intentions, not about how quickly she can get on to the next customer. When she asks what you would like, she doesn't just nod her head when you answer, she repeats back what you said, elaborates on it, and asks more questions. This was truly a treat. read more

This place is amazing! It is completely unique and peaceful. Sara-ann is such a great care taker, and makes you feel like your service is the only thing in the world that matters. I had a caffeine body wrap/scrub recently and left with glowing skin that has never been softer. I also highly recommend the haircut experience. It is a wonderful treat~ starting with an amazing scalp massage and shampoo. She is great at listening to what you want and delivering it. And Laura, the massage therapist- is the best I've had anywhere ( and I've had a lot of massages!). She has wonderful intuition and will find trouble spots before you even mention them. I've had her hot stone massages, which are sublime, and she has also treated my bad shoulder and neck with great success. I should also mention the setting. Morally, I'm obliged to give an honest account of the service provided by the Beauty Temple; but, I'm afraid if I do then booking will become next to impossible. Beautiful location, nice atmosphere! But I was told I'd have to pay more for sugaring because I was "too sensitive" and it was taking her longer to sugar me. I thought that was fair as I had nothing to compare it to (it was my first hair removal experience.) I stopped going altogether because she seemed annoyed with me. Well, the past year I've been traveling and have been sugared/waxed by several people. None of them have ever thought I was over reacting or too sensitive.
