In all the spas I've been to around the world -- from the Four Seasons in Florida to $2 street massages in Thailand -- No trained professional has left me in tears. During my session, my right foot, which is missing the toes due to a lawnmower accident 20+ years ago, was completely skipped over, even though nothing had been requested or needed to be skipped. When I followed up within 30 days, hoping to resolve the situation kindly, I was told it was too late to request a refund. On the call, I was offered an apology for how the experience made me feel; there was no acknowledgment of the massage therapist's actions or any assurance that the issue would be addressed. It was clear they didn't truly understand the situation or have an ethical process for handling it, leaving me feeling embarrassed for spending $120 here. If you have specific care needs or any unique situations, I would think twice before booking here. This experience was dismissive and showed space for improvement in situations like mine. I want others to know so they can make an informed decision about whether this is the kind of service they want to support. Buyer beware! Most businesses have policies and procedures to follow. However, sometimes unfortunate things happen to good clientele that is out of their control. Maybe a car wreck on the way to the spa, or you have to take your child to the hospital, or maybe you got Covid. It would be better if these policies could be flexible. They are not. You will be charged, no matter what. Even if you have been doing business with them for several years. NO EXCEPTIONS! One of the policies even require that you keep a credit card on file for future appointments. Well, this is why! So they can charge you if you don't show up! NO EXCEPTIONS! I've had Julie twice and she is very nice and a great masseuse. I just wish that the other employees there would be more considerate of the volume of their voices and how loud they are closing doors and cabinets. I had Julie turn up the volume on the music and I could still hear them. She even went out and informed them that they were being loud, but they selfishly continued on. I felt like I was getting a massage in someone's closet with kids outside the door. I left my massage early because I couldn't relax over the loud laughing and disregard for client experience. I was charged for the time I did use, and they gave me some free samples and a bottle of massage oil to try and make up for it. I live in Seattle and make the trip once a month. I make the trip haven't found anyone near me that has her insight and skills. The place is clean and well kept, but in my experience there are two types of masseuse, one rubs your skin, the other massages your muscles. Now obviously I can't speak for everyone or all the masseuse here but when I ask for 7-8 firmness massage and then ask for it to be firmer midway through it's because I want to be massaged not rubbed. Also, other spas offer showers as well as a complimentary drink, I don't drink but it's still nice and I was moderately surprised that was lacking for the price here. So my friend gave me a gift certificate for a massage at the Vspa. She had purchased it at an auction in December and gave it to me in January as a gift for helping her. When I called to make an appointment the day after I received it I noticed that it was expired. I called anyway and asked if they would honor it as it was only issued in December and I thought that the 30 day expiration must be a mistake. I mean, who donates to a charity auction but only gives the winner 30 days to redeem? Seems deceitful to me. IF you dont want to donate with a reasonable time to allow for use, then dont donate at all. This seems like a bait and switch. Like a way to get your name out there as being involved in the community and donating but giving an unreasonable time to use. I have been to many auctions and have even organized them myself and have never seen this practice done. So, I was in a quandry and only told my friend who gave it to me, when she asked a few months later, how my massage was. I felt embarrassed but told her what happened and she was mortified and called the V Spa that Friday trying to figure out why the certificate was only give a 30 day expiration. She was told they would honor it IF I came in that weekend, the next day, on Sat or Sun. I have 3 kids in sports and it was my daughters bday weekend so ti was very tough to rearrange my weekend with such short notice but I did not want to lose the massage so I made it work. ONTO the actual experience as if the above wasn't bad enough. I was brought into a "quiet waiting room" before my treatment. I walked in to a room where there were two big bowls of dirty used water on the floor, obviously from earlier in the day or the night before - foot soaking tubs. The hostess drained the water into the sink in the same room and then slid them back under the chairs I did not see any soap or sanitizing and that grossed me out big time. It is possible that she did and I didnt see it, but I really did not see anything used to clean them, just the draining of the water. Then I was brought back to the massage room. My appt started 15 minutes later than it was supposed to but I was trying to get into my "zen" and didnt complain. The massage therapist was horrible. She was sweet but very very ineffective. I have had several massages in my life and this was by far, the worst. I don't wish to ruin this young womans practice so I wont say her name, but lets just say if you are reading this you will know who you are. She used her elbows almost the entire time. It felt like she was trying to strip my veins. I dont know how else to put it. She pressed her elbows into my back, would lean, strip my veins, and then release. Over and over. There was no massage to speak of. She spent very little time on my legs or arms and again used her elbow. I dont know that her hands touched my body more than 15 minutes during the entire massage. She massaged my head like a girzzly bear trying to eat a marshmallow for about 2 minutes. I wanted to ask her to stop honestly and should have. It was almost laughable. The ambiance in the room was nice but I could hear the other workers laughing, talking loudly, and rolling open, and shutting doors the entire time. It was very hard to get relaxed and trust me, it doesn't take much for me to let it all go. The massage therapist cut my massage short by 15 minutes. Whats funny about that? I didn't mind. I was actually looking forward to getting off the table and going home. Based on this experience, I would not go back to the vspa again nor could I recommend it. You might have a better experience with another massage therapist but it is so loud in there I am not sure how anyone could "zone out". I will go to Radiance next time I am paying for a massage. read more

I love the VSpa! As a Massage Therapist, I need a lot of extra self care. I was really hurting and Meg was attentive and took the time to really get to know my needs before starting the massage. I love the use of hot towels and attention to detail as she worked my sore muscles. I left feeling very relaxed and my pain had significantly subsided. This place is a clown show: I purchased a high value gift certificate for my girlfriend on her birthday. She filled out her paperwork in advance and went to her appointment. She got to the facility, dressed, and to massage room when the therapist informed her that she wouldn't provide a massage because my girlfriend is a cancer patient. Seriously. This clown show then sent her home, in tears, completely embarrassed and humiliated. This is customer service by way of the V Spa. Horrific. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place. read more

I try to come to V Spa monthly, alternating between facials and massages. I formerly went to Katie for facials and she was AMAZING but then left :( but now I see Rachel and she is wonderful. Very kind and patient--I've felt very relaxed after my appointments, and I appreciate her suggestions re: skincare. I see Andrea for massages and she is hands down the best masseuse I've ever gone to. I'm very ticklish and she adjusts her techniques (rather than some masseuses telling you to relax or continuing to use the same technique that's uncomfortable!) so I am able to tolerate a full body massage. Whenever I try other places I'm often disappointed! This is my go-to place. :) read more

I, hands down, just had the BEST MASSAGE I have ever had by Jenny. Truly amazing. She gave me the massage that I actually wanted and listened to what I wanted and needed. I am not a frequent spa-goer and a pretty big stickler when it comes to price, but every massage I have had at The V Spa has been well worth every penny and more! I've been back numerous times now and each experience has been wonderful. My first massage was with Richele who is really good at finding those nagging places that are giving you trouble and working them out. I was having a lot of lower back pain and all it took was one session with her and a couple days later I could feel the difference. I've been to Fayth a couple of times most recently, and her technique is just fantastic overall. My calves were so tense my muscles were rock hard! One hour session with Fayth and everything is nice and relaxed again. Excellent practitioners and friendly staff. Both gals were very accommodating to my personal needs and always listened. Pedicure. Went ahead and booked the "deluxe" pedicure. The girl rushed through the pedicure while complaining the whole time (to her coworker who sat in the same room doing manicures) that she wasn't getting a lunch today and that she was already exhausted. For that price I would have driven to Portland or Seattle for a little more service. No massage, no exfoliation, no relaxing atmosphere. No one offered water, tea or coffee while I waited (15min after appt time). My 45min "deluxe" treatment turned into a 25min polish/lotion appt. The "massage" chair had one setting and the girl didn't even know how to use it. Very disappointing. Will not be going back for any services. read more

Went here for a massage and facial for the first time. Staff was very friendly, establishment was clean and nice. Staff was very sweet always asking if i needed anything. Getting me water and explaining everything to me. The worst part was how the whole time during my massage and facial I kept hearing loud obnoxious laughter/chatter and slamming doors from the staff outside. I hope they realize that this is supposed to be a calm and relaxing experience and should speak softly and close doors quietly. This place was great but because of that issue it lost two whole stars from me. The whole reason for going is to relax in a zen like quiet environment. Julie for massage - she is amazing. I have horrible neck issues - carry all of my stress in my shoulders and neck. She does an AMAZING job of loosening me up and getting rid of the rigidity in my neck. She has very strong hands and has worked with Chiro's so knows how to do mild adjustments. Never had a bad massage with her and I've had way over 10. Quite when I need her to be (when I feel like dropping into a coma) or talkative when I am. Always a delight. Would never go to another therapist at the v-spa. She'll be worth the wait!! read more

My friend and I went to the V Spa on Monday for a relaxing ladies' day. It was pretty relaxing, but the services, on the whole, were not awesome. The staff there was kind, attentive, and gracious, and the whole place appeared tidy and clean, which I very much appreciated. But there were many details missed that made the experience a 2-star instead of 4 or 5-stars. First, when we arrived, my friend and I were each shown to a dressing room so we could get our robes on. We emerged and almost started laughing: my friend's robe was tiny - so much so that she was constantly tugging it and wondering if she was flashing everyone. My robe was enormous (I am not an exceptionally small person - this robe was HUGE), so much so that I had trouble filling out my intake form because the sleeves were swallowing my arms. My friend and I were able to go back into a dressing room and switch robes to make things a bit better, but had this been two strangers, the sizes would have been so weird - it would have been much better to offer two sizes in each room, or to say, "This room has an XXL robe and this one has a S - which would you prefer?" I went in for a pedicure next, which was mostly relaxing. They did this on a massage table, basically, with a warm eye mask on my face, so the foot pampering was really lovely and relaxing. However, after an hour of lying still and flat, this hurt my back. And while the paraffin wax and massage and such were nice, the polish job is one of the worst I've had. It appears the technician put many many coats of polish on, because it's several shades darker than what I expected but looking at the bottle I chose - and my nail trim is not straight, nor is the polish all on my nails (plenty on the toes). My friend and I both had smudged nails before we left the spa, despite being very careful with our polish - and hers started chipping 2 days later. Hm. Well, I came out of the pedicure and we had ordered lunch to be served in the quiet room - it was lovely. We both ordered salads, and received delicious food in a nice-sized portion. It was a treat to eat it right there in the quiet room. They did not bring us any napkins, which was strange (ended up wiping my hands on my bathrobe), but lunch was still good. Then I went in for my facial - it was my first facial, and I wasn't sure what to expect. This was actually really good, I think. Not entirely relaxing (ack! hot towels covering my face = claustrophobia!), but this was as much about me as it was about the technician, I think. She listened carefully to what I thought my skin issues were, prepared the facial accordingly, and I came out with glowing skin (several days later, it still looks great!). Unfortunately, I also came out with very very greasy hair - she must have used a ton of oil during the scalp massage, something I wasn't prepared for. I could have showered in the changing room (nice huge shower!), but there was no hairdryer, brush, or even a mirror in there, so I'm not sure how the shower would have made me look any more ready for the appointment I was going straight to afterward. In short, lunch was good, but you could just go to the cafe for that. Next time I will get a facial and ask for no oil in the hair, then head to the nearest strip mall for a cheaper - and probably better - pedicure. It wasn't an overall terrible experience - they just missed too many details for me to spend that kind of money there again. read more

I was pleased with the ease of making the appointment and how friendly the receptionist was to extremely pleased when I went into the Spa for my appointment. I received my massage from Andrew, a masseuse (sp?) that has 12+ years experience was by far the BEST I have ever had. He was able to release tension in my hand and collar bone that Ive had pain in for 15+ years! The professionalism, the cost, the customer service, the cleanliness and the staff was amazing!! I have been going to Julie for massages for over a year now. She has done wonders with not only helping me to relieve stress, but to repair my shoulder, (which I repeatedly injure at work). I have never felt better since I have been seeing her. I've been here twice with about a two year gap in between visits. Both times I called and scheduled an appointment. The first time, I scheduled a 90 minute massage. When I arrived, they had no record that I scheduled for a 90 minute and would only let me get 60 minutes. When I specifically had the receptionist repeat 90 minutes back to me. The second time, I scheduled a prenatal massage. When I arrived, they had no record that it was a prenatal massage....shocking. I'm about halfway through my pregnancy. The massage therapist actually asked me if I would be willing to lay on my stomach (without the hole in table that is specifically for prenatal massages.) uhm..... NO. So then she was late getting my massage started because she panicked and had to get the room half assed set up for a prenatal massage. When the massage actually started, she was beyond rough. So rough, I was almost crying. This is a prenatal massage, lady! Pregnant women aren't allowed to have deep tissue massages! But when I scheduled, it was specifically stated that this therapist was specialized in prenatal massages. I left the massage in so much pain. I had a horrid dream of having a miscarriage. AND I was in extreme pain for days. I will never be going back to this establishment. I won't have to look very hard to get an amazing massage elsewhere. read more
