I came in today for my eyebrow appointment and was surprised to see the salon in the middle of a…read moreremodel. The space looked unfinished, with construction dust, missing baseboards, old furniture mixed with covered new furniture, and floors that appeared very dirty. It felt more like a construction site than a salon open for business. While I understand that businesses need to remodel from time to time, I don't think it's appropriate to continue serving clients while the salon is in this condition. The environment didn't feel welcoming, relaxing, or professional, and I was uncomfortable throughout my visit. The technician did a good job on my eyebrows, but unfortunately the condition of the salon significantly affected my overall experience. I believe it would have been more professional to temporarily close the salon, or at least postpone appointments, until the renovation was complete. First impressions matter, and walking into a salon that looks like an active construction zone doesn't inspire confidence--especially for a beauty service where cleanliness and professionalism are so important. I hope the finished space turns out beautifully, but based on my experience today, I left disappointed.

My issue comes from being charged a cancellation fee in the midst of a medical emergency when I requested to reschedule as I was in the ER. I would understand being charged a cancellation fee if it was for a superfluous reason, but this was entirely out of my control. When I brought up how ridiculous it was to charge me for an unforeseen emergency when I was not canceling simply attempting to reschedule, I was told to not make appointments and just call for walk in appointments or daily schedules since my "schedule wasn't firm" from their perspective. As unfortunate as it is that I can't see Christa anymore, it is because of the salon management and not anything she did.
