I took off one star due to some staffing issues -- often when I call, my call is redirected to another location which has made calling with questions a bit frustrating. I've also been asked to reschedule an appointment I had here to be at a different location due to staffing issues, and they are sometimes closed Tuesdays randomly. Overall this location seems a bit more unreliable, but the stylists I've had and blowouts themselves are great.

Makeup was terrible. The application happened in the corner station... the lighting is uneven as it's near a window and you're sitting diagonally, creating weird shadows. The MUA even said the lighting in the corner makes it hard. The application itself was a mess. I don't think my MUA had very much experience, and definitely not with hooded eyes. There was no primer used on eyes or face, no eyeliner (I had to do this myself), and lashes were cut to uneven lengths so on one eye it was too short ( I could not tell at first because of the lighting). The glue application was awful and the eyelash popped off as soon as I stepped out of the store, but I was too over the whole experience to go back and try to have her fix it. I could have done a better job myself and won't be using their MUA services here.

I didn't ask for a special hair treatment, maybe they were referring to the toner that was applied but that was never explained to me to be an extra cost (I thought it was part of the color). Then I felt stupid asking about it at checkout. I just wish I had fully understood this when I asked my hair stylist at the beginning of the appointment. I did pay without complaining, but left a little upset.

Photo attached, taken on July 4th, the day after. My hair was fried from HOURS in bleach. The color was inconsistent. I ended up crying on the floor of Target to buy bleach just so I could have something that looked close to normal. I had to chop off 6 inches of hair and give myself bangs because of the sheer volume of fried hair. It is several months later and I have spent close to $2500 trying to fix my hair. The ends are still crispy and break off and my hair is barely chin length. Of note, he barely wore a mask the entire time. He also left bleach in my hair while he went into the hallway to argue with a girl who took a photo of him doing hair without a mask. He also commented on my husband who is of Chinese descent something to the effect of "I love Asian men! They are like f*cking a dolphin because they are so smooth!" He also kept sneaking in the back to take shots of vodka so pretty sure he wasn't sober most of the time. These are just the highlights of the experience. Suffice it to say, I will not be going back and I would not recommend this business to anyone I want to remain friends with.

My final bill was around $700--roughly double what I had been told over the phone. After I contacted the owner about the discrepancy, I was refunded $150, but I still paid far more than I expected. Unfortunately, the service itself did not meet my expectations. To make matters worse, during my appointment, one of my expensive earrings went missing. Despite bringing this to the salon's attention immediately, I was not reimbursed for the lost earring, and the owner has since stopped responding to my calls and messages about the situation. The combination of being charged much more than quoted, receiving disappointing service, losing a valuable personal item, and then having difficulty getting a response afterward has been extremely frustrating. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon.

THAT'S how bad it was. All that time and money just to go back to brown and have my hair be short and thin instead of long and thick. God I could scream.
