Well...it's Ulta. The usual product offerings here but limited. Again, another location that does not stock a lot of the Kopari line so plan to order online. I suggest ordering on the Ulta website so that you can accrue points. The only downside is that a majority of the time, coupons don't apply to this premium product. The staff here is friendly and helpful (I was approached more times than I can count on one hand). The salon has plenty of seats and seems to be a majority of this location's business. Nice, clean location. read more

First and last time at this location. I was misgendered twice, and no one thought to ask my pronouns. A little respect would have gone a long way. I left embarrassed and humiliated. will drive out of my way before returning here. read more

I was at the U-Hills location yesterday and was helped by a sweet young gal named Precious! She was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable! She also spent time with me answering questions about the product I was buying! Thanks Precious ~ You Rock read more

I normally go to this location because I've always had a great experience. I never experience anyone watching me shop or being overly attentive. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience the last time I went back in July and haven't visited since because it made me so uncomfortable. I had purchased NYX lip liners that were advertised on their display as $5 however, I was charged $6. They were also BOGO so when I went back and checked my receipt I noticed this and called to see if I can get this adjusted. The manager Shelly I think was very helpful and said to come back whenever is convenient and they'd happily make this adjustment for me. When I went back the cashier (receipt doesn't have her name) made me feel as though I was stealing something, she was very unwelcoming. She made sure to let me know that "from now on NYX lipliners will be $6, company wide!" In a very rude demeaning tone. I responded that as long as they're advertised as $5 I'll be paying $5. Once she totaled the refund it didn't make sense so I questioned her about that and she continued to speak to me in a belittling tone. This is the second time their marketing and the price I'm charged at the register is different however, the first time I got in trouble for their lack of attention. I'm really bummed because this is not the closest location to me but I drive here because I've always had great service. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning to this location anymore. I think a simple marketing check monthly and some extra attention to customer service training would really benefit this location. Also, that same day I heard a young associate basically trick an elderly woman into signing up for their credit card after the elderly woman had explicitly said she didn't want a credit card to which the associate responded "oh, it's not a CC it's just a way to earn rewards" read more

Shelly is amazing, super helpful. It was hard to find someone when I needed help, but as soon as I got Shelly I was thankful.

The "manager" was at the register to ring me up. She asked no less than SIX times for my phone number and email to put in the system. The first three times I said "no thank you. I don't give that out." #4... "I'm not giving out my information." #5.. "I'm not giving my information. #6 I replied with, "can I just buy this and go? I don't want to give my number." She pops off with, "you don't have to act like that." Really???? "I told you six times I don't want to give you my information.... You don't have to "be like that." And I was out. She might have manager on her tag, it she did NOT behave like a manager. read more

Wow what a fabulous experience! All of the staff members here were warm & welcoming and super helpful. We needed advice on setting sprays and got lots of input & knowledge from them. Many thanks to the great team here! We chose the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray. If it doesn't work, it's returnable within 3 months- love that! read more

Rosie cut my hair and did an amazing job! I d definitely recommend her. It looks really great!!!!

Very scammy. They get you to get a credit card and then don't send a bill and then charge you fees and interest and refuse to fix it. Don't think you can trust this store. They are looking for ways to take advantage of customers and scam them for additional profit. read more

Kyle was super awesome and helped my boyfriend with a tattoo cover up. everyone was super friendly and lively. i feel like usually it's hard at certain stores to find help but everyone here was on top of it read more

Thank you Aly B. for great hair color and cut for a second time--you are so great at what you do, and you are also a joy to spend time with! If anyone is looking for someone who cares about how you feel walking out of the salon into a next chapter of your life, Aly is one you want to see--she cares and she knows what she's doing. I have horribly fine hair, but she finds a way to make it look great, and she can empathize, as she has challenging hair too. I wanted something that looked natural and blended and that's what I got. I just can't say enough good things about her and the services I've had at this Ulta location. And another bonus is that you can get your shopping done while you're processing ;) read more

today I stopped to purchase some gifts and they were very friendly and helpful unfortunately an item I purchased was NOT in the bag when I got home and when I went back the MOD said she reviewed the cameras, however I didn't receive the item I PAY for. Very disappointed because we spend a lot of money in this store, I'm no trying to get anything for free, just want the stuff I pay for. read more

Where do I start? Came in the pick up a few items and was repeatedly approached by staff asking what I was looking for...it got so annoying and they were pushy and inquiring about all my decisions. After being forced to talk to multiple staff members, I went to the line, which was almost half way through the store...never seen this before. Only one cashier working and the line was over 20 deep! Of course as I'm standing in line, one of staff asked me what I decide on and I gave her the basket and said that I don't have time to wait in line. Instead of harassing customers, these employees should be behind the counter checking people out. Will only order online from now on. read more

My wife and I drove across town to pick up an item that this store showed was in stock and allowed her to purchase online for pickup. It took us an hour to get there and we hadn't gotten a notification, so my wife explained she understood it wasn't ready and could she either grab it herself or she'd wait, either was fine. The older gentleman working the pick up desk was rude and clearly irritated she was early. He said to wait 10 min for him to go look in the back. Once he came out he told her it was not in stock and that he cancelled her order, again with attitude. No apology. So dealing with a jerk, and then learning it wasn't even in stock. Awesome. Also, the line at this store is insane. 1 person on the register. Wait times are unacceptable. Ulta you win for rudest employees. read more

If I could give this Ulta, no stars, I would. I was expecting helpful, understanding faces instead everyone was judge mental and seemed to stare at me very unwelcoming. I personally noticed an employee with purple hair who rolled her eyes at me, I think her name tag said Olivia. Overall, disappointed. Managers are shady and hire rude ass girls. Do not come here unless you want to feel horrible!! This ulta does a great job at it, hopefully the employees don't treat eachother that way. read more

Unfortunately today I was the customer that walked in 10 minutes before closing. However I knew exactly what I needed and was going to be in and out. As soon as I walked through the doors, immediately I was greeted by an older woman with beautiful gray hair, she was so friendly and asked if I knew where I was going, since it was my first time at this location I did need guidance so she pointed me exactly to what I was looking for. After that I started wondering a little bit trying to remember what else I needed aside from eyeliner, when I was approached by Aurora who was more than helpful throughout my whole experience here. I'm so glad to say the entire staff was extremely professional, very friendly and more than helpful. Thank you ladies for being so helpful tonight ! :) read more

The associates here know their sheeeeet! That's why I don't mind paying extra for some of the higher end cosmetics because they are pointless unless you can make em' WEEEEERK HONEY!!!! Their rewards program isn't some marketing sales thing - you get dollars back if you are a fairly consistent shopper. My last visit I was told I reached "VIP STATUS" so I'm trying to put together a last minute Halloween costume identifying myself as such in a whacky way to see if I can tipsily find any fellow Ulta Beauties that will get it and laugh. Ha! Last thing. Burberry perfume. I've bought and tried perfumes the last 15 years and loved many. But I found IT. My scent that mixes with my natural chemistry and it turns heads. This ulta is A MESS!! Literally and management wise. Get your act together! I ran into the rudest sales person ever that thought I was stealing. This sales agent was eyeing me since the moment I walked in. I'm sure I looked lost bc this place IS A MESS! It's so hard to figure out where anything is. She followed me around and instead of offering to help she legit was watching me. I've bought things from ulta where people test the new item. So I opened the item I was BUYING. To which she darted over "are you looking for the tester ??? You don't need to open it." Which I snapped back. Excuse me I'm buying this and wanted to check no one opened snd used it thanks. What a freaking asshole! Get your shit together read more

I went here as I always get my girls stocking stuffers there. I wait for the deals with the free gifts as the get some cute stocking stuffers. They have post on line and signs in the store but they never have the free gifts. Not any of them. I should have 4 mini sets mascara eyeliner ext as well as a free 8 piece item. The manager said it says "while supplies last" then take you sign down if it's gone. Tell me online when they are gone. You are not any cheaper for the brand I personally use than sephora and my girls said they are fine with Walmart. So I am really done. They thought they were cute and gave me a mini roller I can add perfume to. I think I may just return it all get my mo ey back and go to a place that does not scam and mislead you. I am so over being tricked by them! read more

Ulta Beauty - I spent money not like it was cheap! - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Denver, Colorado

I've been a Sephora die-hard for a decade+, but I popped over to Ulta impulsively a couple times this last month, and I have had an overall good experience. They need at least one roaming employee to help customers. The two times I've been there, there's one person at the doors and one person at the register. So when I have a question, inching toward the exit to ask a question with merchandise in hand is awfully unnerving. This is not the staff's fault. They're probably slightly short handed. The girl that was stationed by the entrance would do a round, passing by aisles, glancing at myself and other customers. It felt a little like she was making sure I wasn't stealing, but I can't be offended by that: she's just doing her job. I ended up walking around the store with $150+ of stuff in my arms, and I was warmly offered a basket With that being said, the 4-5 employees I've interacted with at this location have been nothing but kind and helpful. My only other complaint is that there should be a small placard on the check out counter at the back salon area signifying that there's a standard check out counter at the front of the store, separate from the salon part. I gave 5 stars because there's no reason to dock a star for two small "flaws". read more

I decided to book an appointment to get some simple braids done to my hair for a concert and got called about a half hour before my appointment to reschedule until later or the next day! I needed my hair done the same day vs. the next. I explained I was from out of town, going to a concert that night and needed it done at the time I requested. The salon made arrangements and I ended up with Erica doing my hair, she was amazing! She knew exactly how to braid my hair and even hooked up my baby hairs, sprayed glitter on and set me up with a makeup artist to get my makeup done. I believe her name was Amy, blond girl, Erica knows who she is....both LADIES were amazing and made me feel beautiful for the concert. Thankful for the arrangements made to fit me in. read more

I hate spendings hours in the salon getting highlights! I had not been for close to a year. I called in and got a next day appointment and was told that it would be with Aly. I was also told what a wonderful stylist she was. Let me tell you, Aly far surpassed my expectations!!! She is fabulous with color, my hair turned out BEAUTIFUL!! We talked about our favorite foods the whole time and although it was several hours it felt like 30 minutes. She is highly skilled, has an eye for the perfect color and has a GREAT personality! I highly recommend Aly if you need a new look, update or a quick trim, I promise she won't disappoint! read more

Not Just for the Ladies I kept hearing a friend of mine talking about Ulta this and Ulta that. I finally broke done and looked it up online. I was pretty clueless. I had now idea that Ulta is a makeup and skincare powerhouse. Made my way inside this place and actually found some stuff for the fellas. You can get some nice stuff here, like Clinique face scrub, Crew body wash, cologne, and even fancy beard oils. The prices seem a bit inflated, so I would check online before making a purchase. read more

Ulta has a good selection of beauty products but the staff is overbearing and rude. I hate how the customer is expected to provide our emails and phone numbers just to buy shampoo. Then if you give them your email you will get 10,000 stupid emails. And no I don't want your credit card. Geez can I just buy some shampoo?! Oh forget it I will just order it online. read more

This is my third review of this store in two weeks. The fact that this Ulta has deleted 2 reviews in two weeks speaks volumes about the staff, and management of this store. I can only imagine how many reviews this store has deleted from disgruntled customers. Obviously, quite a few. They monitor Yelp waiting for the next review so they can delete it too. If stores are allowed to delete reviews, doesn't that defeat the purpose of Yelp? We aren't getting honest reviews if stores are allowed to delete the reviews they don't like. That's dishonesty on every level. Not only by the store, Yelp as well. With that said... This store has rude, incompetent employees, and lousy management. The store is messy, poorly stocked, and unorganized. I was publicly embarrassed because I asked for the total of my purchases before applying my points. Between two employees they still could not come up with the total. I thought prices were shown as the items were rung up. If not, how do customers know what they're paying? The sales girl was ringing my items out with a handheld device. That wasn't my idea. Therefore, my customer service experience should not be less because of it. I'm not sure why it was so difficult to give a total. The sales people became nasty, and dismissive with me for their incompetence. All because I dared ask a question that neither of them seemed to be able to answer. I'm not sure if they were mentally challenged or too lazy to figure out the total. All this as the "manager" stood at the other end of the registers looking spaced out, and uninterested in the goings-on in the store she manages. They made it appear as though I was the problem, in the problem, they created. It was a simple question that did not warrant all the drama, eye rolling and snotty attitude. I eventually said, "let's just move on." All this drama because they couldn't answer a simple question. They made it appear as though I was being difficult because I wanted to know the total of my purchases. Since when did asking for a total become an offense worthy of public embarrassment? After all, It is a perfectly reasonable question. That is only one reason I'm not allowing them to get away with treating me badly. The other is because they need to be called out for their nasty behavior, and snotty, lackadaisical attitude. Not doing the job they were hired to do should not be an option. If they can't do the little things (provide a total) I have no faith in them doing anything else well. I had planned on booking a makeover. I will not be doing that. The cost of the makeover, products used, and my usual $50 tip will be better spent elsewhere. I will not allow their behavior to dictate policy for me. If my continued reviews prompts them to get it together, great. I'm almost positive when they were hired to run the store, it wasn't to run it into the ground. Now, I'm monitoring Yelp as well. When they delete my review, I'll repost. They will get a fresh one star review every time. At this point, I wish I could give them a zero minus star review. read more

I've been coming here for a few years and have had mixed experiences. I continue going to this location because it's so close to my house, but it's not my favorite. In my experience, the store is well-stocked and organized more often than not, and it's in a convenient location in the University Hills shopping center. The store gets definite stars for those qualities. Here is where I deduct stars: the customer service experiences here are so inconsistent. Sometimes you are greeted and asked if you need help finding anything, followed by a fast and efficient checkout experience. Other times, everyone is standing around, chatting, and blatantly ignoring the customers. I've worked in several customer service positions, so I know what I'm talking about. That's just not how you do things. If you work retail, you need to be focused on the customers rather than chitchatting with your coworkers, and it needs to be consistent. A customer shouldn't have to stand awkwardly at the front of the line, looking at five employees obliviously talking with each other and wondering when he or she will be noticed. I will keep coming to this Ulta location simply because of the convenience, but their customer service needs serious work. read more

I've battled with writing a review about this store for a couple years, but it just sucks. Apparently, if their system goes down when your paying, you can't get a refund with the form of payment you used. Didnt learn that little tip until I tired returning. As far as their staff, it's pretty hit or miss with them; but definitely not consistently good. Save yourself the time and headache and just go to Sephora read more

Three words: Check. Your. Receipts. An item that I didn't physically have with me was returned because the girl accidentally clicked on it, and now when I WAS returning that item, I was turned away and stuck with an item I didn't need. I left disappointed after ranking one of the poorest customer service experience known to man. Definitely a lot to learn. This Ulta was only a few blocks the street from a friend's house, and I was so eager to return a cheap dry shampoo spray that I purchased from another store in Aurora and to this location. I had a great experience the first time with two other wonderful ladies in the past at this location, but the two ladies at the front tonight ruined my experience unanimously! The transaction that Paige and I had was working out at first, but upon learning that a "simple" mistake from the other girl from the other location made, Paige pointed out it was already returned and asked me if I had my original receipts: The purchased one and the refunded one. I literally ran to my car to look for them, only to find out she wasn't going to do anything with them and said "We don't need the physical item to give a refund, but this item was already returned and you got your money back." So why in the hell did you need my receipts for? Being unaware of the situation, you would think they would be apologetic of the situation, and take care of you, but instead she grew an argumentative, and monotone voice telling me she can't return my item anyways (For the negligence of someone else) because it's going to screw up her inventory? Really? I don't care what your inventory system had or hasn't got, or why it'll be ruined because of the negligence of somewhere chick. If there was better training, this situation could've been prevented. She could've been very well to go above and beyond and exchange the item for me to a darker color dry hair shampoo bottle, but not even that! She was very rude towards the end, gave me numerous looks and said "I may purchase another bottle." No thanks. This never happens at other stores. Wow The worst part was walking out, and seeing her and her coworker looking at me as I walked out and they were gossiping about me because they assumed I was rude too. No, you acted unprofessional towards the end. Customer service can go a long way, ladies. read more

I just had a bad experience with Ulta! So many times the cashiers don't know the specials! I went in to get shampoo at 50 percent off and he said it was full price. He called a manager and she was no help. She said it was online only. I showed her my message and she would not budge! I really just wanted to know what the difference was. She just kept saying no. Very bad customer service, Tory. I suggest having meetings or let people know what's on sale! I'm saddened you are the manager in charge!! Very POOR CUSTOMER service. read more

Tatum was the sweetest person and so so helpful! Will certainly be back great energy!

I went here several times before COVID and several times since and they just can't get their act together 1. They have someone that stands there greeting but won't help when the line is long 2. There seems to be 1 person (maybe the manager) that can do pickup orders. This person is NEVER at the front, the cashiers won't help you. The greeter won't help you, so prepare to wait. What's the point of ordering online if you're going to spend more time in the store just waiting for her to show up 3. They changed their hours but didn't update it online so you have to call to hear their hours 4. The email doesn't say you need photo ID to pickup but they require it in store- seriously even if you have the email they won't give you the order without ID 5. Curbside pickup is also pointless. Prepare to wait through a long message before choosing the option for curbside and then waiting another 15min for someone to come out. I really hope Ulta gets new management at this store because it is a hot mess. read more

I come here because it can be hard to find hair products in Denver as a black woman, and sometimes Ulta has a better selection than other stores. The staff can be pretty aggressive when it comes to asking if you need assistance, especially when the store is slow. But when there are 4 of you standing within inches of each other, you don't all need to ask me if you can help me find anything or if I want you to apply a new foundation to my face. That's over kill. The store is clean, and they generally have a good selection. read more

I was stoked to see that CO has Ulta! I've only been to this location since I moved here and it's ok. Friendly staff and easy to navigate through but anyone who's been here knows what the drawback of this place is--the location. It's right off Colorado Ave located in a shopping plaza with Michaels, a supermarket, Starbucks and 24 Hour Fitness. The parking lot is a perpetual cluster along with the flow of the line while waiting to check out. There is absolutely no order which drives me batty---and I'm not even Type A so it shouldnt bother me! But that's something I'm willing to deal with for a bargain. I love Ulta because not only does it have the drug store brands of makeup that look me look pretty but also the more expensive brands out there. When I feel like spending money on the good stuff (ie around tax refund time) I'm always sure to go there and splurge on Benefit or Philosophy products. They also have an Ulta brand of cosmetics which isn't too shabby at all (and they often have BOGO sales on them). If you're like me and buy drug store brands 99% of the time, they take manufacturer coupons plus send you coupons if you join their club (for free) You earn rewards with your purchases and it's easy to track online or on your receipt. read more
