He was friendly yet not overbearing. If you order the kachapuri it will sit heavy on your stomach. You may want to order it as your main entree or share with others. I also ordered a Georgian chicken dinner but had to take it to go. They are a little more on the pricey side too. Overall, worth it though. I like the neighborhood this place is situated in. There is street parking as well and the front entrance isn't far from curbside. I enjoyed my visit here. They're open until 10:00 pm on Fridays. If I had more time in Winnipeg, I would return here. Then why didn't you say anything before I was seated and ordered or move us to another table. And the whole time I was trying to stuff food into me we were getting dirty looks from all the servers. I get that it is a pain to have people sit for a bit but we were trying to have a meal and a visit. I guess next time we will got somewhere that allows us to eat slow and relax My friend gave the server her AMEX to pay. She came back to the table and said sorry it didn't go through. How embarrassing for my friend. She used another card. Later called the restaurant and was told they don't accept AMEX. So why didn't the server say that. Instead she said it didn't go through and embarrassed her for no reason. Luckily she was with friends who understood not business clients. May be time to switch to a new favorite restaurant in my location.

Taverna Rodos is located in Charleswood, and was quite popular when I went here recently with a friend. I had the pork souvlaki, which came with a lot of rice and even more vegetables. I'll be honest, I enjoyed the rice and veggies way more than the pork lol. The pork felt quite dry sadly, if it wasn't for the spices it would've been worse. Service is excellent. I'm sure there are other better items here given the plentiful menu options. I'm content on giving this 3-stars for now and re-evaluate if I decide to return here.

Instead of a salad, I got roasted lemon potatoes and rice pilaf, which came with warm pita bread and tzatziki. It was a good meal. Everything was hot and seemed freshly cooked. The chicken and potatoes had a bit of a bite, like a hot sauce or spice which I'm not used to when I have Greek food. The lemon on the potatoes didn't really come through. The rice was nice and fluffy. I'd get it again. Ally was the server. She was nice and friendly.
