We initially called a plumber who overcharged us and actually made the leak worse (lesson learned). We subsequently decided to call Just Water Treatment Inc. who came out to take a look. The specialist who came out (I think it was the owner) really spent a long time trying to repair and fix our current system before explaining that we did, in fact, need an entire new one because of some irreparable cracks (that I think were caused by the plumber we initially called -_-) . Although that was disappointing to hear, I really appreciated that they obviously made every effort to repair our current one before suggesting we get a new one and clearly articulated why we needed a new one. It definitely did not feel like they were upselling or anything. The specialist went ahead and installed a new reverse osmosis system under the sink and let us know that they can come out yearly to maintain it and change the filters (we signed up for that service as well). This happened back in November and everything has been going smoothly since! We are really happy with the specialist's efforts and service and with our new water filtration system. Tom did charge for me this call even though there was no technical issue, but I was a new customer and his time is valuable, so when my water softener started acting up (running for hours during the day) so I called Tom and he came out same day. He told me the timer had been reset over time when the power goes out, etc. Tom reset the time and left and did not charge me for a visit! (YAY!) A few days later, the water softner was doing the same thing, so I called Tom and he again came out same day and said it needed a new timer! Tom checked his records for previous services on it and determined no other services were needed while he was tinkering with it and he replaced the timer THE SAME DAY for a fair price and he again didn't charge me the service charge. Fantastic experience getting a water softener installed…read more When we moved in there was a water softener, but throughout the time we've lived here, about a year and a half, I learned that it is one from Lowes or Home Depot, which means it is pretty cheap and not meant to withstand the Florida weather. Also, I'm pretty sure it hasn't been working this whole time because the salt had hardened and never seemed to move. I kind of ignored this for a long time because we were already spending a ton of money on other house stuff. Finally a neighbor convinced me that our plumbing would thank us and I'm also hoping it will help my baby's skin issues. I used Request a Quote on Yelp to get a ton of quotes. At the time I was trying to fix our water softener, but quickly learned from many different companies we would need to replace it. I got overwhelmed from all the information and, again, tabled it, but James continued to follow up with me periodically for over a month. It wasn't pushy, he was just checking to see if I got my water softener. Honestly, if it wasn't for his follow up I'd probably still be sitting on this project. It was super easy to schedule a time for them to come a couple days later. They are locally owned and operated so you are dealing with the boss. Chad was the one who came out and he is awesome. He noticed some things that were wrong with our pipes, don't ask me what, I don't know anything about plumbing which is why I hired them, and he fixed it! They have a 10 year warranty, which is fantastic because I don't have to worry if it breaks. They stand by their work. If you are looking for a water softener, I highly recommend them. When the plumber, Richie, returned to review his work a week later, he argued with us and said the water was hot. I told him that's not what our complaint was - the temperature wasn't consistent. When we asked him to re-install the previous unit, he said he couldn't because he had thrown it away in the trash. The previous Reem water heater of ours was working just fine. We were just downgrading to a smaller unit. We sent a complaint to the office almost 2 weeks ago but no one has ever called, texted or emailed us back. Absolutely an unreputable company! I can't believe they have so many good reviews when we definitely received the worst service possible. Update: I don't think it's wise for any business to publicly give an "excuse" why they did something that a customer is unhappy about, and rightfully so. Their plumber was told from the start that our current/previous tankless water heater was working just fine. Why would anyone throw away a unit that's working fine? After speaking with Lucy today, I was also asked to revise my review here if they provide a new service that is satisfactory. My husband and I run a small business and we've never asked a customer to revise their online review. It is always the customer's choice to do that on their own. A company's response to a negative review always shows how they truly operate.
