As soon as I walked in the older cashier lady gave me nasty attitude when asking about the issue and info of my car. While I was speaking to her one of the workers also an older man came up to me very rudely asking me "what's wrong with it" while rolling his eyes as I was telling him the issue he said "what's the point of even checking it" and started mumbling negative comments about working on my car I asked him what's the problem he started walking away and by then I didn't even want these clowns touching my car! I was with my 7 year old son at the time so I had to put myself together and walk away instead of making a big issue about it I decided to write a bad review. I will never return to this shop and will never recommend because of this horrible service and they should really be careful how they treat people cause not everybody will respond as calmly as I did. I dont understand why there are any bad reviews on this place, those people are chumps. Ive been here twice and theyve been outstanding both times. AND THEY ARE CHEAPER THAN ANYONE ELSE! To hell with paying 89+ bucks somewhere else! The lady behing the window is the sweetest thing. She knocked off 10 bucks just because i was sweet to her! These guys are professional and dont mess around. The ONLY con of this place is that fhey dont have chairs to sit in while you wait, but they do it so quickly it doesnt matter. Brought my vehicle in to have a tire squeaking sound checked. Receptionist was polite and staff remembered my father and I from previous visits. I chose to bring my car here because of the trustworthiness and diligence they put into their work. They drove my car around the block and didn't know what the issue was right away. Most places would stop there but they had another mechanic look into the issue by giving it second drive. They found out what was the issue, lifted it, fixed it and were done in 30 mins. They told me the issue was very minor and there wouldn't be any charges. I was surprised. The sound was gone and I was satisfied with my service. Love my Ridgeline - except for a brake chatter since it was new - several brakes jobs failed to fix; I chalked it up to some design flaw. Went to Bear Frame and Wheel for new struts (after 200K miles with no issues) and got the truck back better than new. Wow - great job Greg and team! Rides like a dream now. Took my Camry there too (also no issues since new). Greg said it didn't need struts but there was a thumping noise from worn out covers, gave Greg the green light and no more thumping! My experience was very positive. (tip: Be super nice to the lady on the phone, she can get edgy/impatient) I used to live in Covina, they have been there a long time. With my previous car, I always returned to Bear Frame & Wheel. I've had alignments, balances, strut replacement, brake resurfacing, and brake replacement done at this facility. On all visits, the staff have been very friendly and seemingly knowledgeable. However, I had to return several times to have my brakes resurfaced -- only to have the problem reoccur. After being advised that brakes would likely need to be replaced (after the third resurfacing), I complied -- expecting the problem never to reoccur. However, a couple months later, I experienced the same problem. Nonetheless, I still trust Bear Frame & Wheel. However, I have stopped getting my car aligned with them after they increased the price of their alignment, as I can get alignment done at my dealership for a bit cheaper. read more

I was first introduced to this place in 1980 when they un-tweaked the front end of my 71 Ford station wagon after I skidded into a curb in the rain. My dad said he first went here in the mid 1960s. A few years later I was back to have the front end of his '65 Dodge van rebuilt after CalTrans dropped the walkway from an overhead sign in front of it on the freeway (and CalTrans paid for the repair). Then a '69 Rambler, then a '71 Datsun 1200, then an '81 Volvo, then a '85 Corolla, then a '91 Volvo, then a '97 Ford Aerostar van, then a 2000 Camry and more... In the last 30 years my family and friends have run over 18 cars in over 45 visits through this location for front end repair, shocks, struts, brakes or alignment. None of us have ever been unhappy. Once the parts delivery guy delivered the worng parts twice for one vehicle, and a quoted 2 hour job took over 3 and a half, but that wasn't Bear's fault. They do front end repair, alignment, tie rods, brakes, shocks, struts and probably more. And they tell you to leave the keys as they do test drives. Not many shops actually do that anymore. Hint #1: Get a weekday appointment rather than saturday. Casual drive-ins can have long waits as appointments come first. They are only open until 3pm on saturdays and it's a major zoo. They are closed Mondays. Hint #2: Give them your cellphone number and use the McDonalds next door for a waiting room. It's a nice clean MickeyDs and soda / iced tea refills are free, as is the WiFi. read more

Went to this Bear Frame and Wheel to get our motorhome aligned after I just put new shocks, sway bars, and tires on it. They did the alignment and said the camber was off so the charged us $100 for the alignment and $50 for the adjustable camber bushings. So we went on our road trip a few weeks later thought it was the wind but the motorhome was so hard to drive (felt like speed wobbles) . Got all the way to salt lake city like that and took it to Alignment Specialist. They said that the alignment was way off. So we had to spend another $160 to have it fixed. Now it drives like a dream.I have been going to the other Bear frame and wheel on amar for 20 years and no problems. It looks like the only time I will be going to this one is to request for my money back! read more

I just had a 4 wheel alignment done on my 2015 Q50s. I had lowered it 2 months ago on RSR Superdown Springs, and needed an alignment badly. I called several places before coming here and they all said they could do it over the phone, but once they saw my car they said they wouldn't be able to do it. These guys were great. After going to 3 different shops someone finally referred me to Bear Wheel and Frame. I called them and told them my car was lowered and asked if they'd be able to do it. Pam was very helpful and told me they could and that they were actually working on a lowered car at that moment. I went straight after work. By far one of the best customer service experiences I've had. They were done with my car in less than an hour and their prices were very reasonable. Took my excursion there because the steering would not return to center. They charged me $100 to align it, and said everything looked good. As soon as I picked it up, it was pulling to the left and still would not return to center. I took it back and they told me that's how ford trucks drive. I would not recommend this place read more

My husband took his Toyota 4WD to the Toyota Dealer to get an alighment (and other work done) and they could not get the truck aligned correctly and charged him double the price that Bear charged. Bear did the alignment the old fashion way (without the machines) and the tires are straight now and made serveral other adjustments. My husband is a happy camper now. My brother, who is a mechanic for MTA told us about this place. This is the original Bear alighment shop in Glendora. They are great! read more

I called before coming in and the receptionist was rude on the phone as I was mistaken that they would take an appointment. She did state they close at 4:30pm and any time before then is fine. I thought nothing of it. I got off work and arrived at 3:15pm. I walked up to the window and the lady working the desk started our business with sarcastic remarks under her breathe. I calmly said "if you're too busy, I can come in another day." She replied "did you even call?" I replied "yes. In the morning and I just got off work." She laughed in my face and said "wow, in the morning?? It's almost 4:30 now and can't you see we're busy." It wasn't. They weren't. Unless you consider closing time 3:15pm, I don't think coming in over an hour before closing is "rude". I simply cut her off and turned around. Would never recommend anyway go here simply bc of her nasty attitude. The most ironic part is one of the workers on a break was very nice and accommodating. He directed me to the office and was polite the entire time. I guess he wanted to work while his receptionist wanted to go home. read more

This place does a great job but before you head home, take your car on a test drive to make sure your car is aligned. We drove down the street and then a mile north. The alignment was worse off then when we brought it in. Headed back to he shop and the nice mechanic worked on our car again to get the alignment correct. Very honest and friendly people. Always glad to find a local business who I can count on, and I found another in my city at Bear Frame and Wheel. I got an oil change from some local quickie lube place where they tell you the sky is falling when it comes to your vehicle to up-sell you like crazy. I took my truck to Bear to get my brakes done and asked if they could double check my ball joints since the other place said they were in need of replacement ASAP. They came back and said they had at least another year. Saved me over $900 for now. I usually take my truck to Sako up in Glendora who is sometimes swamped and he even recommended Bear for alignment and brakes. read more

Friendly staff. I was expecting to have just one rotor turned and they did two rotors for $60! That's an amazing price. The helpful mechanic had one arm on a sling and he did a fantastic job. My car is a '65 Corvair that is modified for road courses. Most shops will not align it, not because it is difficult to align but because it is not in their computer. When someone suggested Bear Frame and Wheel, I thought this was the answer but not to be. I had a front and rear alignment 6 wks ago because it was pulling to the left and went back today because it is still pulling to the left. The car weighs 2500# and I weight 230#(almost 10% of the car). The best 2 alignments I have had over the last 6yrs were done by performance shops that suggested I sit in the car while they aligned it. They showed me that it is a fact that the figures change when I sit in the car and I never have a passenger. When I suggested that today to the manager, he just gave me the old FU look. He says it drives straight for him. Of course he is doing 35mph and I am doing 75 and I outweigh him by 80-100lbs. I understand this is a family business which I applaud but when your no longer enjoy what you are doing, maybe it is time to step aside and let a younger member with some people skills take the reigns. Their equipment and methods are about as antiquated as the building they occupy. Got my brakes done here after a friend recommended this place. The brakes sounded horrible before I got them done and can't hear a whisper now :) Came on Saturday and they were pretty busy, so expect to leave your car and go somewhere while they take care of what they need to take care of. I usually don't post reviews about places I have been to but I felt that this place needed a review. All I can say is Wow!! I brought my 4x4 truck in for a front alignment from a referral of a friend and I was in and out in about 20 min. My alignment is dead on straight. No fancy computers and lasers. Just old school technology of chalk, measuring tape, and spit. Jeff is supper cool and very knowledgeable. The lady up front is really nice if you understand her sense of humor. Plus she has some cool toy figures at the front window. From what I hear they do get swamped with work (good thing) in the mornings. My visit was right after lunch and there was only two other cars there. I love this place and will be back with my other cars. read more

I've got a Korean War vintage Army jeep that needed alignment. Several tire shops relying on spiffy modern computers to do alignments were unable to tackle the task because their software didn't go back to 1952. Fortunately I was referred to Bear because those guys are "old school." Boy Howdy, were they a blessing. No fresh out of high school auto shop graduates there! Those guys seemed like they've all been in the trade 19 years. They did it the way it was supposed to be done back in the day. Maybe if you are pushing a modern hybrid Swoosh Mark XLS 3000 over,under around and through the potholes on our maintenance-neglected freeways you'd feel better going back to the dealer where you can assume the familiar ankle grasp position and spend a half day running up a bunch of hours at the standard dealer shop rate, but if you want to get a fast, accurate and reasonably priced alignment by guys who actually know how to fix cars rather than remove and replace old parts with more expensive replacement parts from a huge overstocked parts inventory which auto dealers use as revenue streams on steroids, you might want to try the"Old School" way of getting the job done, keeping the customer safe and happy, and not costing him an arm and a leg. They treated me right, got me in, out, back on the road with a well done alignment which the computerized alignment centers said they were afraid to touch. read more
