The BLT sandwich was so good! Warm and fresh and juicy sandwich! The most thick bacon I have ever had in a sandwich. They also offer different breads if sourdough bread was not preferred. Unfortunately, hot drinks were limited selections. But it has good selections of cold drinks. I loved its sandwich very much! Really tasty, indeed. The staff was friendly and nice indoor and outdoor seats available. Its restroom is outside of the restaurant. It was clean, just needed to ask key from the staff for it. Highly recommend this sandwich shop!

Good place to stop in whether you are on your way in or out of Carmel. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday on the first weekend of October. Staff were polite and friendly. The restaurant was clean. The restaurant is more like a convenience store, or deli, setup. You order at the counter and choose your seating (inside or outside). There are refrigerators where you can grab cold drinks and chips to choose from to add to your order. I'm obsessed with pickles, so I had to order their fried pickles. They call them frickles. They were fresh and delicious. The pickles were dill and crunch. The breading tasted good, too! My husband and I ordered a burger and chicken sandwich to share. The chicken sandwich was just okay, but the burger was pretty good! The bun and meat were very tasty. We'll stop by again since we visit Carmel a few times a year. I'd like to try a few of their other items! The food was 3 stars, but the service and freshness of the food are five stars.

This is a great spot mid valley when you're either coming or going. The breakfast burritos are fantastic. Today after golf, we stopped for lunch. The food is great. The staff is super friendly. They've got indoor and outdoor eating also beer and wine. The menu is huge in the inside of the restaurant is super clean.

The burger was absolutely incredible juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served on a super soft potato bun. Easily a 10/10. I'd definitely come back just for that and highly recommend it to anyone. The Cobb salad was also a hit 10/10 Everything was fresh, well-portioned, and thoughtfully put together. Great balance of ingredients, and it really hit the spot. Service was fast and efficient. The ambiance is quiet and welcoming with plenty of seating perfect for a relaxed meal. Will definitely be back!

Tried this place out when in the area. Super cute area with plenty of parking. My boyfriend tried their 18 hour smoked brisket with a potato salad on the side. I was personally not a fan of the potato salad, but my boyfriend loved both! I ordered their chicken tenders and Caesar salad. The salad was good, but I did not enjoy the tenders. Just a different flavor that I was not a fan of. Service was amazing. Huge thank you to the lady that helped us, super nice and helpful. Place looked clean. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

Pros: I love the outdoor seating and rustic atmosphere. It's a great roadside BBQ with lots of beer and wine options. There's ample parking and it's nestled in Carmel valley so beautiful trees and hills surround it. Service is quick. Okay, the food was bomb. Like the trip-tip was maybe the best I've had. Not too much sauce, lots of onions, perfectly grilled meat, and I added grilled jalapeño (highly recommend). Loved the sourdough roll. Y'all really know what you're doing. Cons: $$$ a sandwich, beer, and tip came out to $45!! How?! Sorry, had to remove a star for that.

Good but didn't blow me away. The meat and bread quality is good though. We ordered the tri tip sandwich and BLT on sourdough and the jalapeño slaw. They have a couple tables inside and about 6 picnic tables in the patio. Food came out pretty quickly and good amount of parking.

Get the burger! I could've gone without the macaroni salad and the Jalen slaw. The BLT is sweet it has a jam on it I think

We needed a quick midday meal between our hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea and wine tasting in Carmel Valley, and Bear + Flag Roadside was the perfect stop! This little stand hit the spot with its delicious offerings and dog-friendly outdoor dining. I had the Rainbow Bowl, which was absolutely packed with flavor! The spiced tahini dressing added a great kick, and the mix of roasted beets, cauliflower, harissa carrots, farro, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, cucumbers, and radish made for a fresh, vibrant meal that felt both hearty and healthy. The outdoor seating made it easy to bring our pup along, making for a lovely, relaxed stop on our day out. Highly recommend if you're looking for a tasty, convenient bite in a beautiful setting!

First time coming to this small hidden gem in the Carmel valley. I had the Bear + Flag burger and it didn't disappoint! It was very delicious and tasty! The customer service was phenomenal.

Great food! A little pricey but fun outside garden. Parking can be a challenge in competition with other businesses.

I unfortunately am allergic to garlic and onions and gluten-free. Are there options for me? :-)?

Just wondering if they have sourdough bread for their sandwiches?

We do have a fresh sourdough roll as option, we get our bread from the local Sumanos Bakery.

    Are dogs welcome?

Is the outdoor patio wheelchair accessible? Thanks

Local art is featured on the walls. The bar seating is comfortable and there are some tables as well. Overall, just a wonderful place to hang out. The thing that makes Vin special is that every single wine is available by the glass! We are talking a lot of wines. It's a wonderful opportunity to try something you won't find in the grocery store. She offers three flights as well; Swirl which is a mix of whites and reds, Savor which is all reds and Sparkle obviously champagnes. In addition, she offers cheese and charcuterie boards curated by The Meatery and a Tahini Fudge Brownie which is baked exclusively for Vin by Sweet Reba's. What would be a more perfect pairing with a nice red....wine and chocolate are just so good together! We stopped in most recently on a Friday night and were treated to live music by Bro. Great singer who was just perfect for the wine room. Roslyn does not carry any local wines which is fine by me. If I want a local wine I can stop at Taste of Monterey or the tasting room itself. When I am in the mood for something truly special, I'll definitely be stopping in Vin. The wines rotate so there is always something new to try. If you have not yet been, run, don't walk. What truly stood out to us was how generously Caraccioli Cellars supported our Signature Day Spa during our recent ribbon-cutting celebration for the stunning new location in Carmel Plaza. It feels like a family-run European bistro that has earned its reputation over many years. The restaurant is small, warm, and busy, so getting a reservation can be difficult. Since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spotted there, it has definitely become even harder to get in. Reservations can be weeks out, but my advice is not to give up if you are already in Carmel. Put your name on the list, stay close by, and be flexible. There are cancellations, and if you are within a few blocks, you may get lucky. They do not really have a bar area where you can sit and eat while waiting, so planning ahead helps. The food is the reason people keep coming back. Everything tastes ingredient-driven, fresh, and well executed. The Ensalada Rosa / Rouge Salad was beautiful and balanced, with the beets, radicchio, herbs, and creamy dressing all working together. The Champignons Provençale were rich, earthy, and comforting, with that deep garlic-herb flavor you want from a European bistro. The Ossobuco Piemontese was tender and satisfying, the kind of dish that is perfect on a Carmel evening. The Lobster all'Amatriciana was also excellent, with the pasta, lobster, and sauce coming together in a way that felt special but still rustic. One thing people should not overlook is their flatbread/pizza. Their wood-fired pizzas are excellent and have that Neapolitan-style feel: a light, chewy crust, a little char, and clean flavors. You could honestly go just for a salad, one of their pizzas, and a bottle of wine and still have a great night. The service was also great. Even though the restaurant is busy, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive. You can feel the family history behind the place, including the connection to Casanova down the street, and that gives the restaurant a sense of Carmel tradition that is hard to duplicate. La Bicyclette is not a place to rush through. It is small, it is popular, and it takes some planning, but that is part of what makes it feel authentic.
