This place is AMAZING! Literally the best BLT I've ever had in my life. Our friends recommended this place and when we pulled up I was a little surprised. It's up in Carmel Valley in a little area with a few other stores. The restaurant is super casual, you walk up and order and then sit down. They had a lot of different options of things to order - we opted for the BLT, the burger and the frickles. Everything was just amazing. It all came out hot, with the best flavors and seasoning. I still dream of that BLT. They have a pretty extensive wine and beer option too. Lots of beers on draft! The service was great. Ambiance is super casual walkup counter, with self seating in or outside. Service was friendly and food came out quick. Food was less than expected. Single B&F Burger: 3/5. It has been several months since I last ate here, so I thought it was time. For the good stuff, their BLT is still King of The Hill. It is an epic almost orgasmic eating experience. The secret ingredient is the meat, it is pork belly, bacon's fat tasty cousin. Also you might like their hamburgers they have that old time grilled flavor--very good. As usual the staff is pleasant with prompt service and that is tied to a very casual dining atmosphere; all good. Dog friendly and you can eat inside or on their outdoor dining area. Today I did not get the BLT, I tried going healthy with the tri-tip steak salad---meh. The salad consisted of chopped romaine lettuce with bell pepper and purple onion slices. A sprinkling of fake parmesan cheese covered the veggies. The dressing was okay, nothing spectacular. The BLT sandwich was so good! Warm and fresh and juicy sandwich! The most thick bacon I have ever had in a sandwich. They also offer different breads if sourdough bread was not preferred. Unfortunately, hot drinks were limited selections. But it has good selections of cold drinks. I loved its sandwich very much! Really tasty, indeed. The staff was friendly and nice indoor and outdoor seats available. Its restroom is outside of the restaurant. It was clean, just needed to ask key from the staff for it. Good place to stop in whether you are on your way in or out of Carmel. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday on the first weekend of October. Staff were polite and friendly. The restaurant was clean. The restaurant is more like a convenience store, or deli, setup. You order at the counter and choose your seating (inside or outside). There are refrigerators where you can grab cold drinks and chips to choose from to add to your order. I'm obsessed with pickles, so I had to order their fried pickles. They call them frickles. They were fresh and delicious. The pickles were dill and crunch. The breading tasted good, too! My husband and I ordered a burger and chicken sandwich to share. The chicken sandwich was just okay, but the burger was pretty good! The bun and meat were very tasty. We'll stop by again since we visit Carmel a few times a year. I'd like to try a few of their other items! The food was 3 stars, but the service and freshness of the food are five stars. read more

The burger was absolutely incredible juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served on a super soft potato bun. Easily a 10/10. I'd definitely come back just for that and highly recommend it to anyone. Tried this place out when in the area. Super cute area with plenty of parking. My boyfriend tried their 18 hour smoked brisket with a potato salad on the side. I was personally not a fan of the potato salad, but my boyfriend loved both! I ordered their chicken tenders and Caesar salad. The salad was good, but I did not enjoy the tenders. Lovely place to have a quick bite after a hike. Spent about $50 for a Tritip and a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich outperformed the Tri-tip. I would come back to try the Brisket (it wasn't ready at 10:45AM), but it will be a hard pass on the tritip. Tritip was dry, on top of it being over $30 and at the top of the menu list. Had the Tri-tip not been dry, this place would have easily earned 5 stars. I'll try my luck next time. read more

The jalapeño slaw had a nice amount of heat, and the farrow and harissa carrots and French fries all made for great sides. The burger (double patty) was so satisfying, as was the pork shoulder. The brisket and the tri tip were on the fatty side but we enjoyed the flavor. The customer service, however, was a let down and the reason for removing a star. Our polite questions about the bathroom, utensils, and drinks were treated like an inconvenience by the staff. Ensuring your customers feel welcomed is a basic part of the dining experience, and feeling uncomfortable is not a motivator to return. This place is so cool. We ordered the artichoke burger, the fries, a pickle, and a couple beers on tap. I have been a vegetarian for a long time and this artichoke burger is the best veggie burger I've ever had, hands down. The burger itself is so flavorful and crispy as all hell! Comes with pickled onions, perfectly melted cheddar cheese, sprouts, and we added smoked jalapeños. The jalapeños were actually spicy and added even more good flavor to the burger. I was surprised that it was just us and a couple other parties but I was also grateful that meant we got our food pretty quickly. We took a seat on the back patio which is dog friendly! Delicious Vegetarian Options!!! This place was the surprise of our recent trip. We were staying in Carmel Valley and I had seen this spot here on Yelp and figured we'd give it a try. On our last day, we finally stopped in and I am so glad we did! Very fresh and delicious food and a very creative menu. Fellow vegetarians and vegans, do not pass this place up! The Rainbow Bowl was one of the best dishes we had during our trip. It was massive and could have easily fed two. We also tried the Artichoke Burger and it was a huge hit! It was fresh, tasty and very hearty. We are going to try and make the artichoke patties at home, but I'm sure they will never be as good. The outdoor space was cozy, but a bit too noisy for us because of it's close proximity to busy Carmel Valley Road. No worries, we found a quiter table inside and it was cozy as well. Ok I'm serious when I say this is a hidden gem. The patio is amazing! A huge oak tree in the middle that's beautiful. Dog & kid friendly.
