Not that bad of a course, diffidently wide open. You will get to know a lot of rabbits in the desert area by first name bases. The turf is pretty hard and thin. Some of the holes are very fun, and their part three's play longer then it looks. Greens at times can be challenging. Never had any issues with the marshals or any workers there. All are very friendly. My only issue, many area in the fairway are completely soaked. Other then that, every thing else is a-ok

Had lunch and then played a round on the cub course with some friends. Lunch was surprisingly tasty all things considered. It's pretty hard to screw up a BLT and tots but they really hit the spot. Golf was great. The cub course is perfect for beginners or for tuning up your game. Some of the greens were a little rough but the had just reopened after overseeding. I highly recommend the cub course. Especially if you are just starting out.

Played the Cub coarse. Muddy mess. This place is great for junior golf but not worth the money. It was better when they had the trailer.

Greeted with bad service. Didn't feel welcome. Felt the need to leave and have a better experience at a different golf course.

They need to put out 10 and 150 yd yardage markers. Every other course does, unless they furnish GPS

I had a buddy (great golfer) look up a few courses for me in Chandler which right next to Phoenix and Ocotillo was his recommendation. I'm glad he found it for me. Let me start by saying this was not an easy course for a high handicapper (17) like me, but it was extremely fun to play. I don't think I've ever played 18 holes with so much water in play on the majority of the course. The greens were kept up (not fast at all), the fairways were nice, and the tee boxes were in good shape as well. I lost a lot of balls but not because of the difficulty of the course, it was simply bad play. I believe they have three 9 hole courses that they use and I started on what they call Oasis. It was a great front 9. Ironically, the back 9 felt a lot easier with less water, but there was still plenty of it to go round. If you're looking for a fairly difficult, yet fun course to play, you'll love this spot. The clubhouse crew was very customer service friendly as well from the moment you walked up and I only paid $97 for 18 with a cart with one day notice.

Standing water on fairways and every bunker. Numerous areas under repair. Huge divots every shot so wet we ran out of sand. Played in a scramble tourney that was supposed to have multiple tastings on holes and I think there was 3. The tourney prize for first was a head cover like what?!?! Just a money grab. *UPDATED* Jeff below will try to tell you lies to make what occurred seem better to save face. There was only 3 tastings. Two par 3's had empty tables. Prizes were underwhelming at best. A bag tag looks like a child made at elementary school, a free round of golf in these conditions (couldn't pay me to play it again), and one of their own head covers. Utilize your vendors from golf brands. Other courses offering hundreds of dollars, clubs, etc for lesser tournament registration fees. You offer what seems to be after thoughts to be cheap. Every course waters more in the summer so it doesn't get fried but morning tee times see dew. Not standing water and soggy ground with every step. It was the most unprofessional tournaments I have ever seen. Absolute amateur hour. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COURSE!!!!!!

As an avid golfer and supporter of local golf courses, you need to check this course out…read more They have put some money into it and they have a solid team that works there! The folks at Dobson ranch converted that course into one of the most fun and value-driven locations in the Valley. I trust their management. Thus, when I heard that they had purchased Ahwatukee, I was intrigued. There are a lot of inexperienced golfers rating this course 1/5. Most advanced and well-traveled golfers appreciate one thing above all: the greens. I don't care how nice the layout, fairways, or tee boxes are, if I can't get a true roll on my putts, it's an instant 0. However, this course has prioritized its greens as the first thing it's revamping, and it shows. Do not judge the greens by their visuals, they roll quite well and are firm. Happy to see a course where I don't leave a crater in the green nor rip it 30 feet back. Happy with the green conditions. I know they're putting in good work on the fairways and tee boxes. They can't help the conditions mostly. However my biggest caveat is the placement of the tee markers. Come on, please don't put us on a mound where the ball is either a Foot above our below our feet. I purposely teed off well behind the markers on occasion to avoid a poor lie. My other caveat is that the deals they advertise online were not accepted in person. This month they have been peppering Instagram with deals for college students, including a $29 weekend round with student ID. None of the staff had heard of this deal, so I was a bit disappointed to pay full price. However, they were friendly enough to give me a cart discount at the least. September 24th, you guys posted it! Overall, I'm excited to see where the course goes. It's a fun layout and the vibes are high here, I can see the vision!

Either courses are fun tracks that challenge you in different ways. The Cattail is a super fun track that has a lot of potential for scoring good. Greens roll really true with good pace and everywhere around them has crisp perfectly manicured grass defining the fringe to apron back to fairways. I wish the bunkers (sand) was more fluff and softer but still very easy to manage out of them. The course conditions were absolutely nice and pretty much as perfect as you would expect for a course of this nature. Cart guys, pro shop staff, starter were all great and super helpful and very informative on anything g you needed or asked. Services throughout were great and the weather was perfect. The pace of play was very nice, never saw the group in front of us or behind us and finished a group 4 in 3 hours 58 minutes from the Golds(one) shy of the tips (black). I definitely want to come back here again rather soon. Great overall experience. It appears the LPGA will be here exactly the following week from today play as they were setting up all over the course. Even with cart path only on all holes, walking out to the ball was not difficult on any of the holes.

It has been over 2 years since I first gave a review on Springfield Golf Resort. Not much has…read morechanged except my golf game and new clubs which I purchase from the Pro Shop after attending a series of Demo Days put on by manufacturers. And I have had the opportunity to golf at other locations since swinging my first club just months before my prior review. Springfield Golf Resort remains at 5 stars (Great) despite one negativity, inconsistant greens which is an important thing for golfers and the short game. I have seen my ball hop, skip, and jump to the hole at times, not break when it should and visa-versa. I have had missed shots due to crowns even around the hole and even role slightly back as slowly inching to the hole. But other than the greens sometimes a challenge, the greens are playable and Par's a plenty when you get used to their condition. But dont expect the PGA to come here for a tournament though. Beyond the greens, I love this executive course with so much potenial to be one of the best executive courses in the state especially for all levels with well defined fairways that offer a lot of variety and challenges in a good way to improve your golf and increase your enjoyment and golf experience. And most importantly, lots of opportunities for tree shade throughout the course for the warmer season known as hell. This course has the typical hazards of any course however the water and tree hazzards are only an issue to you if youleave the fairway in most cases. Bunkers are a different story in that they tend to congregate to the sides of the greens and a few in front here. The sand in the bunkers can at times be like hitting off soft dirt and can have poor drainage after a rain (yes that sometimes happens in Chandler) or after significant irrigating of the green/fairway; it is a non-issue if you avoid the hazard, lol. End up in the hazard and you pay the price. The people here are friendly and the staff have no equals from professionalism to friendliness in my opinion. And they do what they can to accommodate all sorts of situations to allow you to play and make it enjoyable. They have recently this year invested in new golf carts with GPS to help you range the ball to green which is noice. But it does also keep you from driving where they don't want to to go to get to your ball, again, if you leave the fairway so don't unless you like to walk. One complaint is that the mini-ice chest is super small and cant accomodate much once ice is added. The speed of play can at times seem at times slower during the week than on weekends. There are leages with mostly elderly people that play regularly during the week and this is in a 55 and older community so I found myself waiting to tee-off more during the week then weekend. Last weekday round had be 25 minutes behind normal pace of play. Rarely happens to that degree on weekends. But the staff and the new GPS carts try to mitigate slow play. They have an excellent, well marked driving range with 3 range ball bucket sizes to accommodate a short pre-round warm-up to a longer practice session at a reasonable rate. The green fees are creeping up there in price like everyplace else but remains one of the lower costs courses in Phoenix which is enhanced further by the offering of a seasonal punch cards that don't expire to help save you money and can be shared amongst others in your party. Don't forget to stop by the 19th hole after your round of golf to say hello to the very friendly staff and relax while enjoying food/refreshments and som sports on one of the many TV's. All and all, going to other courses, I have been spoiled by this one and Springfield Golf Resort serves as the basis of comparison.

Just returned to golfing after a long time away nursing an injury. Started back at the executive…read morecourses nearby. So that's the mindset, something beyond the driving range but not a great test of my endurance. And most of all make it affordable since I may not make the round due to my injury and/or the heat. Played here in May. A friendly greeting by the staff. There was ice in the coolers and cart service as we made our round. This and the on cart GPS made it a very manageable time in the heat. The greens were in decent shape with some burn spots developing. Fairways were in okay shape but there were a few bald areas even this early in the summer. Overall this is one of the better executive courses I've played in the area. But measuring as a golf course, sub par. So take that into account.
