Pizza with vegan sausage, mushroom, jalapeños, and pineapple.

My wife and I ordered a pizza on DoorDash with mushroom, vegan sausage, jalapeño peppers, and pineapple and loved it. Also love the fact it is named Bear!

Robin Hood (pepperoni, mushroom & Feta)

This was our first time here after seeing many reviews about how great the pizza is. So, browsed the menu beforehand to decide whether there were selections of interest & appealing. Tonight was the night. We each ordered a 14" pie so we could bring home leftovers. I ordered The Peachwood (Chicken & Pesto, red pepper & onion), my husband ordered The Robin Hood (Pepperoni, Feta & Mushroom). Both were very good down to the dough. I will say the ratio of dough to topping extended nicely to the edge. I would say the flavorings of each pizza, nice combinations, and toppings did well together. Only constructive comment for The Robin Hood would be better if feta was more evenly distributed around the entire pie but still a great combo. Service was excellent, we had a very attentive waitress, place looked clean and comfortable. Take out was a big business tonight as we watched people continuously coming in for pickup via the side door. They do have a nice covered outdoor area with quite a few tables. The only unfortunate thing tonight was not knowing there was musical entertainment (every Friday & Saturday), which tonight was NOT the best and was more a distraction and too loud for the small dining room and to have any conversation. We have nothing against local talent, but for such a small venue, it needs to be lower level for a dining establishment and, in this case, better talent. We definitely will be back as it's nice to know a good pizza place not too far from our home.

Delicious and distinctive pizza that made in brick oven. Their pizza menu doesn't has many selection like franchise restaurants but they seem like a unique one. (They also serve sandwiches/deli subs and salads but not many same as appetizers) I order the 10" The Peachwood pizza and 10" crab pizza. Not disappointed, they were pretty good. The crust and dough was cooked perfectly - crisps and thin with nice flavor, lot of toppings. I can say this place has a high quality pizza at reasonable price. In addition, their service is friendly and lively but it might need some time to waiting for your order. Comfortable and spacious dining room, also has outdoor seats - nice location for friends or family party.

I was very impressed by the taste of the dough, the sauce was a little sweet, and the cheese was good. Definitely will order from here again when in the area. Next time I will call the restaurant and order the pizza as I went through an app to order and it cost more than what their prices are online.

Great local pizza spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor (covered and not covered) seating. The inside is a big open unassuming decorless space with tables and chairs. The menus are typed in a standard word processor software on a sheet of paper and slipped into plastic sleeves. Thursdays are trivia nights from 7 to 9 pm and beer and wine specials are $5 each. The pizzas were delicious, fresh, hot, and made just as we requested. The crust was not thin or thick, just the right height. The cheese was gooey and fresh, slices were cut evenly, and we enjoyed our meals with a Yuengling on draft and a fountain beverage Pepsi (which are the best!). Both pizzas came out quickly, and our server was consistently attentive and friendly. I would recommend and come back.

My second time here since they have opened and I'm just not terrably excited about the pizza here. I am being generous giving a 4 star review as the pizza here does fall short for me. Crust is good but it's lacking the crunch when I bite into it. Sauce is good but it's still missing something and honestly it doesn't look appealing and it doesn't fold and stand up well. Bottom line- OK pizza but falls short compared to other pizza places.

    The margherita pizza

Rating a restaurant has never been more challenging. As far as pizza goes in that area, BBOP gets 5 stars all the way. Compared to my personal favorites in Rockville and Gaithersburg, 3 stars. It's also a matter of pizza preference. I'd probably most closely compare BBOP to All Purpose in DC, which has been named one of DC's best restaurants, but I can't say I'm the biggest fan. My parents have been raving about this place since it opened and are regulars. I would've killed to have them around when I was growing up in silver spring. The crust was thin, just how I like it, but it was missing *something* that I can't put my finger on (probably has to do with my pizza style preference). I got the margherita pizza which is named the Stonegate (I'm a fan of the pizza names!) with beef added to it in the form of mini meatballs. It was cute but I kind of wish they were strips of fresh beef, or big ol' meatballs. The ambiance and support of other local businesses is great. The IC Dream shaved ice truck was there, and the menu had lots of local craft beers. We enjoyed the live music on the patio and got to pet some dogs. The owner was going around checking in with guests too. It's a great addition to the neighborhood and I hope they continue to succeed!

Cheese steak sub with bacon and a side of fries

Decided to get a bacon cheesesteak from here. I ordered online and food was ready within minutes. The cheesesteak was pretty delicious and had a good amount of meat on it. Probably one of the top 3 cheesesteaks I've tasted around the area. Service was good as well. Amole parking is available and the restaurant has several food options!

We started with the Grand Caviar tasting, which was the most expensive caviar option on the menu. For the price, I expected much more. The caviar was extremely salty, to the point where it felt like additional salt had been added on top. The tasting included three varieties of caviar. The caviar they used on one was the exact caviar they used in sushi. Our second appetizer, the tuna dish, was significantly better. While the presentation could have been more refined and visually appealing, the flavor exceeded expectations and was one of the stronger dishes we tried. For my entrée, I ordered the branzino. The fish itself was decent, but def not crispy but it was salty. The sauce was salty and the fish was salty making the entire plate feel like salt layered upon salt. Additionally, the skin was advertised as crispy, but it lacked the crisp texture I was expecting. My husband ordered the rainbow trout stuffed with crab. It was enjoyable and probably the most balanced entrée of the evening, though it wasn't particularly memorable. For sides, I ordered the wild mushrooms, and my husband chose the risotto. The risotto had good flavor but seemed slightly undercooked. The mushroom side was also on the salty side, and despite being described as "wild mushrooms," it consisted primarily of portobello mushroom.

The restaurant is spacious, clean, and welcoming. My girlfriend and I sat in a booth across from the bar. What we liked most is that they had several different types of seating indoors for just about every style. My dirty martini with blue cheese olives was excellent and it was difficult to not simply down the drink. We wanted to start with an appetizer but decided to hold out for dessert -- this time. My girlfriend had a well-done cheeseburger with their house made cole slaw that she loved. I had a small bite and it was fantastic. I have had blackened Ahi tuna in a number of fine restaurants, but this was the best by far. The tenderness of the tuna and its flavor was fantastic. The cole slaw is delicious and the tasty jasmine rice had been cooked perfectly. What we noticed most was the tremendous balance of flavors. They were distinct yet one element of the meal complemented another perfectly on the same plate. Their Reese's and chocolate cookie with vanilla was wonderful. It was refreshing and not overly sweet. Many thanks to Aidan for being cool, helpful, and patient. In addition, the meal was so amazing I had forgotten my credit card. We drove up on a Saturday late afternoon in Aug 2025 and found parking across Main Street. There are other free lots nearby and sometimes a free shuttle around town on Sat and Sun. While waiting for the music, we staked out a table among some that people had reserved ahead of time in front of the wine shop, with other tables just outside the lot and more across the quiet side-street. From the wine shop, we got a nice little pinot noir to take home. They offered plastic glasses and a bucket full of ice, so we could have had that during the concert. They also have beers and ciders, gourmet snacks, and many clever and original accessories and crafts. The wine shop's owner encouraged up to walk to nearby Joe's Deli, and across to the Patapsco Distillery where the band set up under a small canopy, and we also got some food and drink from them for our table. And there's a sweet little ice cream shop across Main Street too! The band played light rock and folk and people were relaxed in conversations and enjoyment of the music. The gentle breeze kept us cool under sun-shielding umbrellas. This is nicely done weekly pair of concert, and the welcoming hostess and cooperative nearby shops make this a pleasant way to visit Sykesville on a Friday or Saturday evening, continuing through Nov 8th.
