    Green Tea Chai Chiller
    Liz G.

The best local drive-thru alternative to Starbucks (but it's WAY better than Starbucks)! The staff is SO friendly & helpful when asking questions about the menu. I got the green tea chai chiller & it was sooo good! Every drink comes with a chocolate covered espresso bean, love that subtle touch! The pricing is very comparable to other coffee shops. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in line either. I always look forward to stopping at BeanThru whenever I'm near one of their multiple locations!

Yum!!! My go to coffee place because who doesn't need a drive thru? They have a million options from black coffee to crazy concoctions. I usually get a black coffee and this time I added some English toffee flavor. So good. I also got my kids a double chocolate chip muffin which of course, I snuck a bite of. They are huuuge and so good. The people that work here are always so pleasant and happy to help when trying to decide as well. It's a great way to start your morning or have an afternoon pick me up.

BeanThru used to make the best coffee around. Recently they have changed to making all their flavored coffees excessively milk heavy. It's often to the point where you can't taste the flavors and is impossible to taste the coffee or espresso. That's even with extra espresso added too. Frothed milk in particular is difficult to get when you order it in drinks like a cappuccino. Even when asking for a dry or extra dry cappuccino you'll still receive a heavy latte that obviously didn't have the milk frothed. I hope they address the inconsistencies and can return to making the exceptional coffees that made me a loyal customer for years. -- edit -- Updated wording as the original was too prickly. The problem of having lowered their quality is the main point and one I hope they can address.

I love driving through here. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I usually get an iced coffee, but I recently tried a chiller and it was so yummy. It was a perfect afternoon pick me up. My preschooler highly recommends the cake pops.

Out here in the North Hills, we've been stuck with chain options -- so when Three Brothers Bagels came to Shaler, it really helped fill a void. This place is a great destination for all kinds of bagels, bagel sandwiches, baked goods AND really, really good soup. My personal favorite so far has been the potato leek soup with bagel croutons. It was so good that I'd love to see it become a menu staple rather than just a special. As for the bagels themselves, the selection strikes a nice balance of savory and sweet, and the spreads and fillings follow suit. What I especially love is that the sandwiches go beyond just breakfast -- there are creative, lunch-style options that set them apart. And yes, their bagels are chewy and might give your jaw a workout after a whole sandwich, but honestly... isn't that just what a bagel is? Tip: Make sure you get there early or plan to order ahead this place is SO popular and regularly sells out. I'm also looking forward to seeing their food truck out and about. Highly recommend for anyone in the North Hills looking for quality bagels, sandwhiches, soups and some genuinely great baked goods!

The different types of bagels are good, Jalepeno cheddar could have a little more Jalepeno in it, but solid. The real highlight was the sausage egg and cheese, the sausage being freshly pressed and made in house really made it standout, definitely recommend! Overall, it's a real good spot for a bagel sandwich, plus they got coffee and some other treats that people were raving about, def will try next time!

Let's start with the woman taking orders -- easily one of the rudest humans I've ever encountered in the hospitality industry (and that's saying something). The consistency is almost admirable, though. No matter when you come, she'll deliver a reliably bad attitude to everyone in line. Truly a masterclass in customer disservice. The operation itself? Absolute chaos. There's no system, no rhythm, no sense of order -- just pure bagel bedlam. Incorrect orders are basically part of the experience at this point. And for reasons known only to the universe, they also try to handle online orders simultaneously. The same rude front-counter woman is in charge of both in-person and pickup orders, meaning there can be five-minute gaps where she disappears mid-service to deal with the digital chaos. Efficiency? Never heard of her. Oh, and let's not forget the older woman who seems to be the manager or owner. Whenever she's around, the service somehow gets worse -- which I honestly didn't think was possible. It's almost impressive, in a "how low can you go" kind of way. Here's the thing: a bagel shop shouldn't be complicated. Slice the bagel, slap on some schmear, hand it over. Easy. Yet somehow, this place turns it into a full-scale production of Les Misérables, starring me as the perpetually disappointed customer. And despite all this, here I am -- again. Maybe it's the only bagel place nearby. Maybe I secretly enjoy the chaos. Or maybe I just love to suffer. Whatever it is, this bagel shop has me in a toxic relationship, and I can't quit it.

Then we try again, thinking maybe this time it won't be contaminated. Sure enough, it is. The latest thought is maybe we get the bagels & buy a tub of cream cheese but that's frustrating because I don't want to buy two different tubs for the two bagels we buy every other month. It's extremely frustrating when all the service workers need to do is designate the knives for what they're cutting & spreading.

The inside of this brewery has a relaxed, open vibe with plenty of natural wood tables, metal chairs, a visible brewing area in the back, and colorful string lights hanging across the ceiling. There's a chalkboard mural on the wall and a Pride flag (since it was Pride month) adding to the welcoming atmosphere. There's also a well-stocked kids corner with books, puzzles, games, and art supplies, which is a great touch for families like ours. Outside of the beer, it looks like they often host different food vendors inside the kitchen space. As I often do when visiting a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight. It consisted of five beers: Joe Brown (coffee brown ale), Hear No Evil (honey ginger wheat), Honeycomb (oat honey ale), ChatBRU (west coast IPA), and Apple Pie Sour (sour ale). First up was the Joe Brown and it started with a solid coffee flavor and finished with rich toasted malts. Up second was the Hear No Evil which was A bold honey ginger wheat with ginger dominating from start to finish, leaving a lingering spice on the palate. Thurs was the Honeycomb which has Sweetness from the honey hit up front, followed by a more mellow oat finish. Fourth was the ChatBRU which was Smooth at first before diving into hoppy bitterness that lingered long after the sip. Last and certainly not least was the Apple Pie Sour. My first sip was mostly the cinnamon and sugar rim, which added a nice touch with a little salt on the finish. The second sip, without the rim, delivered a strong apple flavor that lingered nicely. I could absolutely see how they named it, as it genuinely tasted like apple pie. Out of the bunch, I ended up liking the Apple Pie Sour the most, closely followed by the Joe Brown. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed my beers, and my wife and I found it to be a super chill place. We loved that we could possibly bring our kids thanks to the thoughtful kids corner.

But the quality is good. The chicken is breaded well, super crunchy. Inside, it's cooked perfectly. The vegetables are fresh, and the tahini sauce is super good. Every bun was good. It's a great, but expensive, sandwich. The olive oil cake was also quite pricey, but good. Not overwhelmingly sweet. Topped and filled with something fruity (apricot?).
