I went with a Chicken Torta, and took it back home to eat, because there are no tables to eat in this parking lot; it's basically a to-go operation. The Mexican sandwich was made fresh to order. Like how they chop the chicken up into smaller pieces. Could have used a tiny bit more filling, but not gonna complain. I liked the sandwich, and double-points for the foil wrapping inside the styrofoam container - held nicely for the ride home and was easy to eat.

In this case, I'm kinda kicking myself that I let my "First impressions tend to say a lot and hold true" personal motto cloud my thinking; I should have given Sophie's a second chance long ago. These pierogi were fantastic. Filled to the seam with potato purée. I went with their classic pockets served with sautéed sweet onions, roasted garlic & smoked paprika butter and sour cream. Outstanding!! I'm impressed! Looking at their menu, I'll certainly be tracking Sophie down in the summer months, as reading their Huevo Rancheros dish left me salivating!

The pulled pork was on a grilled bun. The pork was a little dry to me. They have two sauces that you can have. Both are homemade. The regular was a little sweet and had a nice taste to it. The spicy had a little heat to it. Both were homemade and great. The mac n cheese was of the baked variety with plenty of cheese in it. They utilize spiral noodles in their variation. The baked beans were made with brown sugar and some pepper added, very tasty, great texture (will return just for them). The cole slaw is of the sweet variety, was made with several types of cabbage, carrots, celery salt and pepper.

You can order online or at the site on a kiosk. I ordered at the site. Getting a Pulled Pork Sandwich, Macaroni and Cheese, and Baked Beans. Took awhile for the food to come out. The sandwich came out on a toasted brioche bun with the logo branded on it. The sandwich had a fair amount of pork on it but part was warm and part cold. It was chopped up well and had a nice smoky flavor to it. The Mac and cheese was a thicker style but needed a little more flavor to it. Baked beans had a more neutral flavor to them, they added a fair amount of pepper to them to help with flavor. Not bad at all. They were out of cornbread which being open just a couple of hours is unacceptable. I will give them a pass for this visit as they are obviously just getting on their feet. Hopefully it gets better.
