This is clearly the source for craft beer, either to buy and take home or enjoy a glass on premises, even with a few tables outside. While I wasn't able to stay to have something on tap, there were plenty of people there after 5pm on a Monday. With at least four doors of cooler space dedicated to craft beer, the floor was divided up between beer and wine. Specifically on selection, you can be sure to find options from around Ohio and brands with more national distribution. I saw a variety of Mad Tree (Columbus) cans, a few 750 mL bottles from Rockmill Brewery (Lancaster) and since it was summer I got a six-pack of Revolution's (Chicago) rosa hibiscus ale. The Beverage Source doesn't look like much on the outside, but the convenient location off highway 16 makes this an obvious option if you are in the area, be it for a night or simply passing through.

They still have a huge selection of craft beer, but these days 90% of the beers on their shelves don't have a price on them. This is a critical issue with craft beers when a 6 pack could be $12.99 or $24.99 depending on the type of beer! They need to go back to properly labelling their goods because it's much harder to shop here now without the price tags.

One thing to note is that they do not sell wine by the glass. You'll want to order a bottle or do the pairing. We did not do the pairing since my husband had to drive, but coming back I would definitely add that. For the premium omakase, a bottle of wine, and one additional piece of nigiri each, our dinner for two ran around $440 before tip.

Of course, Palmer's has all the popular North American favorites, but I generally check them out for their interesting selection of microbrews and imports. They never stock up heavily on their microbrews and imports so if you see it, you want it, you might want to buy it because it's probably not going to be there next time you visit. These are comparable with other local stores. It carries a lot of name brands. They also have harder to find varieties of these brands, like stuff that comes out seasonally. It often gets mentioned by many amateur and professional critics alike as the best beer store in Columbus. Prices and the friendly knowledgeable staff have much to do with it.
