Wonderful little cafe that perfectly blends tradition with a modern twist. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to the table. We went for a Super Irish Breakfast (adds hash browns, mushrooms, and pudding to the classic) and it was exactly what we needed for our first morning in Dublin. Portions are generous enough that you could split this and be satisfied. It also comes with your choice of coffee or tea. Do note that there is VERY limited seating inside, with a few benches to sit outside as well.
Visiting Ireland for the first time, I did my best to read up on good places to grab breakfast in Dublin and the Beanhive Café popped up on a few lists, Reddit posts, so I put it on my list to try and I'm so glad I did! I walked in on a Wednesday morning and went straight to the counter and grabbed a menu. The young man and woman behind the counter were incredibly courteous and gave me plenty of time to look over the menu. The inside is pretty small with three tables that are pretty tight. There are a few tables outside too. I placed my order soon after then grabbed a seat inside at one of the tables. I ordered a few things, starting with an Americano and an apple cinnamon scone. I really wanted one of their scones but saw only one in their case, but lucky for me, they had JUST pulled out several more scones from the oven! That scone, my goodness, was amazing! The perfect consistency of the exterior being the right level crispy, golden and the inside moist and buttery with a nice hint of cinnamon and plenty of fresh apple pieces. Not much later though, my Breakfast Buzz wrap arrived and wow, this was so good! This wrap held two fried eggs, grilled bacon, red onion, hash browns, cheddar cheese, mixed lettuce, and tomato relish. This wrap was seriously one of the best meals I had in Ireland! There was so much flavor and it was plenty filling, albeit I did have a scone with it too, which itself was pretty big. I was very happy with the wrap and scone, honestly, I am kicking myself I didn't come back here again during my trip. I read that Beanhive Café was famous for their latte art, so I decided before I left to order one. The gentleman behind the counter made pure art with my latte, with a design of the Dublin skyline - It was beautiful and it tasted delicious! I absolutely loved everything about Beanhive Café, from the courteous staff to the amazing food! The scone is top two best I've ever had and that breakfast wrap was incredible. Of course, the latte art is amazing and if you've never been, you should order one of their lattes or another drink where they do this, which are marked on their menu. All I know is that if I come back to Dublin, I'm coming back here for breakfast!
Beanhive is a small coffee shop providing cute latte art. The menu indicates which drinks can be made with latte art. I got a matcha latte; it had a mild matcha flavor and not overly sweet, which is how I like it. Since it was my first time in Dublin, I asked for Dublin art. The cafe was busy and the barista made my drink relatively quickly. The space is very tight and the tables are close together, so it's not the most relaxing if you want to sit down for awhile (1 star off), however, I can still appreciate having creative art on my latte.
Beanhive is a lovely spot for breakfast, coffee/tea, smoothies, and pastries for tourists in Dublin. Locals were eating here as well. It's conveniently located near St. Stephen's Green and other attractions, and a great place to try a full Irish breakfast, especially if you're vegetarian. They also make beautiful latte art - my floral chai latte made my day!
This cozy little shop to add to your list of "Dublin eats". They serve some of the most beautiful art de la creama that almost makes it impossible to drink your coffee coz you'll fear destroying it. They have a full spread of Irish breakfast, I had the vegetarian plate. It was delicious.. there is a reason people lineup here, everything they serve is great. I enjoyed every bite. The staff were amazing they made sure I had a table before taking my order. This place is worthy of all the fame it has received on Instagram.
In a charming, less-touristy neighborhood. Known for amazing coffee art (only on certain types of drinks like cappuccinos, mochas, and hot chocolates) and Irish breakfasts. They also have vegan and gluten-free options, including for the Irish breakfasts! This spot was totally worth the bus ride and walk from our hotel. There was a long line upon arrival but it moved quickly. Make sure to snag a number and a menu from inside before getting in the line. Once your number is called and table ready, you order and pay inside and tell them your table number. It was super convenient, as we could leave when ready instead of waiting for the bill. What'd we eat? Full Irish breakfasts, of course! We also split a strawberry smoothie and got oat milk lattes (small extra charge for non-dairy milk alternative). My body was in shock having something with fruit for once on the trip. Ha! Everything tasted amazing and the service was impeccable. The white pudding and sausage were stars of the show. If we travel back to Dublin, we will come back again in a heartbeat and grab a mocha for the coffee art.
So happy to find they had a vegetarian Irish breakfast and we had to try it. It was delicious!! So happy we went. We also had their muffins (blueberry was our favorite but also got double chocolate and lemon raspberry were yummy too) and they have gluten free and vegan muffin options! Really enjoyed their food and highly worth trying while in Dublin.
After browsing the internet all night, be decided to try Beanhive to get our Irish breakfast experience. Beanhive is a cute little store on Dawson street with limited seating both inside and outside the store. We saw lots of locals drop by to grab a coffee and a pastry on the way to work. We ordered at the front and sat down in the corner of the store beside a small group. Probably not the most comfortable place for a group larger than 4. I ordered the Irish breakfast 6 items which included an egg, 2 sausages, 2 bacons, beans, and half of a tomato. The €7.95 also included a hot drink and toast. It was a pretty solid meal, pretty similar to a Canadian breakfast except for the addition of beans. read more

Not sure I would ever come back here to dine in, since there is such a long wait. This was one of my plans today, because of the hood Yelp reviews. I am not sure I will trust Yelp reviews in the future. Also, they breakfast burrito I got was pretty awe full in terms of flavor tbh. Made me feel ill throughout much of the day bc there was so much raw red onion on it and no sauce, seasoning, or acid to break up the intense flavor of the onion. Kind of choked it down as quickly as I could since so many folks were waiting for a table, and so many other people who were finished eating were completely unbothered by that. They all just sat and looked st their phones the entire time I ate. I feel bad that they don't have more space here because I'm sure other items must be good, but for all the hype this place got on Yelp for the food I was extremely disappointed. Very Bleh. Honestly, strangest tasting breakfast I've had in a long time. The baked goods looked incredible, so might be good to just go through to one of those. I came for the tasty looking reviews and for the latte art, but will never get hot food there again and was sad that you can only get the chocolate art on top of a few menu items. It was pretty though, so almost saved it. Some of the staff were super nice, but there was one particular employee who was just very unfriendly, which was a shame. The other people were very kind, so overall I would say service is good here. Folks who are done eating, don't be rude to your fellow dubliners and visitors- get up after you are done! read more

This place is very cute and the service is great. Everyone is very kind and helpful. We were big group of 8 and the place is verryyy small, but the employees were so accommodating and managed to squeeze us inside. Although the seating was super tight, it was cozy and cute. I also loveee the cute lattes, teas and cappuccinos they have with the elaborate designs (image attached). Super cute. I'm giving it 3 stars because the food is just sooo bland and mediocre. I'm not sure how or why people rave about their food but it's just not good. To be honest, I have a very hard time finding good food in Dublin in general, and this place was on par with basic food we ate in Dublin. If you're ok with boring breakfast, then the atmosphere here is cute and it's worth a visit. Otherwise, don't expect amazing food. read more

First let me say this was probably my first to do on my list while in Dublin. I discovered this amazing cafe on Instagram and as a huge coffee lover I had to come; the coffee art is amazing! My friend and I came on a Friday afternoon around 1:30, it was not that busy but I hear it gets busy around brunch time. The location of this cafe is nice as it's near a park so great to grab and go for the park if you're looking for that scenery. It was my friends and I first meal of the day( we slept in!) and we wanted to try our frist full Irish breakfast and their amazing coffee. We both ordered a mocha on the side. Since their coffee artist take their time creating pieces of art it is worth the wait! Juanmi made our coffee and his art is amazing! (See photos) Our breakfast came first and it was a fiest for your eyes! Since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day I was ready to go all in and conquer! The food and staff were amazing! What an absolute gem. The line can get a little long, and getting a table can be tough because the restaurant is absolutely tiny, but if you don't live in the area then I'd highly suggest coming here at least once. Since we were in Dublin, I figured I had to go for a full Irish breakfast, which did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh, the portion sizes were rather generous too. I couldn't resist and ended up also getting a smoothie and a mocha. The smoothie was delicious, it was incredibly thick so I ended up having a little trouble finishing everything I ate, but was well worth a try. Some of the people in my party also ordered a couple sandwiches which were also absolutely fantastic, simple but with good quality ingredients. The latte art has to get a mention, I mean, it's some of the best I've ever seen. It honestly makes it a little hard to drink your beverage knowing that you're going to ruin the beautiful designs :(. We did wait quite a bit to order, and then to get a table, and then 4 of us squeezed into a table that was probably meant for 2 or 3 people, but I think it added to the cozy vibe of the restaurant. read more
Saw pictures of the latte art and knew I wanted to come here! There is limited seating (approx room for 12 people to sit, including outside), but the vibe is cozy, and parties sit close to each other, which facilitated my chatting with the group of two at the table next to mine. I ordered a latte and the 6 item Irish breakfast. The latte art was cute and colorful, a nice pop that I don't see very often in American cafes. The breakfast was delicious (came with an egg, bacon, bread, beans, sausage, and some sparse leaves). The sausage was kind of soft and mushy in texture (very unlike American sausages) but delicious! The bacon was also unlike American bacon, but very good! The egg was also perfect, nice and yolky. I would definitely come here again if I were to return to Dublin. My only regret was not trying one of the tasty-looking pastries! read more
Visited here for breakfast one morning and there was a little 15-20 min wait for a party of 5 not a problem. You order at the counter inside and they bring you out your food. Sandwich orders all came with a tea choice which was great. I got the earl gray tea and breakfast sandwich which was huge. Think BLT with egg, tomato ketchup, ham, bacon, mayo. It all mixed really well. Others in my party had the full Irish breakfast and it appeared to be one of the largest I've seen on my trip. Everything was good and service was great. Recommend but place is small so you might have to wait. read more

Tasty pastries, fresh wraps, limited seating, andomg lines. The interior design was what you'd imagine for a 4-stars-on-Yelp café, but the service was not. I'd ordered for takeaway due to the long wait times, and when given my bag and checking it's contents, it turned out they'd forgotten half my order. They filled it right away, but had I not been so diligent I'd have missed it entirely. They're polite and all, but be careful for mistakes like these read more

OMG the cutest, little cafe in Dublin! I'm not sure if it's family own but it does give off that vibe. I cane here with the help of The Yelp app (Yayy). So I thought my hotel had complimentary breakfast but I was wrong. In my opinion why even pay for hotel breakfast when you can try out a new place! This place is city central pretty much near everything. It was a shirt 10 minute walk from my hotel. The inside was small with little seating due to the space. The outside also had a few chairs and tables.What attracted me were the beautiful drinks. I got the traditional Irish breakfast, because I'm Ireland and a hot chocolate. You can choose from different stencils, I chose one that says "Dublin" just to represent. The hot chocolate was perfect, as I am self-proclaimed got chocolate connoisseur. It was the right temperature, with the right about of chocolate and sugar since I like mine sweet. The Irish breakfast was great! Having beans for breakfast was different but it was good. Everything else was similar to that of a traditional American breakfast. They also love roasted tomatoes out here and serve it with a lot of meals. I loved this place and would definitely recommend you all to visit! My meal came up to 10 euros which isn't bad considering how pricey Ireland is! Also, if you're an AMEX holder like I am, they don't accept it =( not many places in Ireland does. read more
This is a tiny little café right next door to the Celtic whiskey shop. they serve breakfast and lunch, soups sandwiches, scones, muffins, and full breakfast. Their coffee and teas are delicious. Everything is made to order and extremely fresh. The owners are so nice and hard-working, the staff is very accommodating The only problem is when the weather is bad there are only about five little tables inside. When the weather is nice they also offer outdoor seating. So many orders are Takeaway because of the seating limitations. if you don't see a particular sandwich just ask and they will make it up for you. Soups are made fresh daily. We were looking for a breakfast restaurant near the city center and found Beanhive on Yelp. Beanhive deserves it's strong Four Star rating. It's a very small coffee shop, only 20 seats. Quick tip, if there are no seats, walk across the street to St. Stephen's Green and have breakfast in the park. The espresso is incredible and each drink is it own piece of art. Their pastries and breads are made fresh every morning. My wife said her blueberry scone was the best scone she had ever had. My son and I ordered the breakfast sandwiches. It was very Irish, lots of butter and cheese with egg and crispy bacon. It was so good. You must eat here. Enjoy. read more

We ordered chai latte, mocha, and mulled spice chai would drink all of them again. The latte artwork is sure to make anyone smile. The storefront is super small so be aware it gets cramped but the staff works quickly. read more

My very first Irish breakfast was here and my second one will be had Monday! The white pudding was to die for, the generous thick slices of irish bacon were delectable. The grilled tomato and side of portobello mushroom were so fresh and tasty that I'm considering getting the veggie breakfast on my next visit. All in all it was an abundant serving that I challenged myself to finish. Patience is key here; this place is popping and the owners seem to take pride and exhibit a lot of integrity in their work from providing you breakfast to making you a simple cup of hot chai so that every customer is met with great quality. There were a lot of awards on display from prior barista competitions and that was impressive to say the least! Service was also amazing, very family-oriented and they project that energy onto their customers! read more

We visited Beanhive on our last day in Dublin. Lured in by the yelpers promise of the fresh scones and amazing Irish breakfast, we were not disappointed. We opted for two scones and splitting the supreme breakfast which we could barely finish. Everything was tasty and fresh. The only thing I'd say is that the place is tiny, so we had people hovering over us waiting to get our table even before we finished the meal. On that particular day, it rained quite heavily outside so the two tables outside were hard to sit at. You might want to check out this place early in the morning before traffic really picks up. read more

Absolutely loved this little coffee shop during my recent visit in Dublin. I ordered a vanilla latte which was very tasty. The staff that day made us feel so welcome and was very friendly. The restaurant is tiny but has a great selection of food, coffees, and teas. Just a great cafe overall. Wish we had it in the US! read more

Beanhive was such a cute place to grab breakfast! It's quite small inside but they have outdoor seating and although it was crowded, we did not have to wait too long for a table to open up. I got the traditional Irish breakfast and loved the variety of food I got-especially the white pudding! I also got a vanilla latte and it was just the right touch on the chilly morning outside. My sister got a hot chocolate and the design they put on it was THE CUTEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN! Definitely would go back for breakfast again or just for a hot chocolate. read more

We stumbled in here while walking around Dublin. The barista does very impressive cappuccino art. Upon ordering he asked us if we wanted him to draw anything in particular and he ended up drawing some cartoon versions of us in our drinks. Very cute! read more
Called in here today for a meeting, and was immediately won over. On first impressions, it's tiny in there. Like really tiny. But they've got comfy seats and also a nice little gathering of seats outside too that'd be lovely on a dry day. They have baskets upon baskets of freshly baked scones (have a look at the pictures - they are just too good), delish cakes, and lovely tea. I can't comment on the coffee, but looks like they have lots of different blends and they seem to know their stuff. The guys themselves are the icing on the cake - super friendly, good craic, and they really give the place a proper good vibe. (Oh also, they sell the most gorgeous little knitted / crocheted tea cosies that go on mugs and takeaway cups! Soooo cute and would be deadly for a Christmas or birthday present) read more

During my stay in Ireland I had to visit this spot! It was so good that I went back for a second time. Not only is there bread super soft and fresh but their cappuccinos are perfect and fun! Each come with unique artwork from the barista! Not too far from the park and easy to find. read more
