Tanger Outlets Commerce - Where Reviewers Are Many, But Enforcement Is... Selective…read more As someone who reviews shopping centers often--on both Yelp and Google--I've come to expect a certain level of consistency, especially from a well-established outlet brand like Tanger. Usually, sharing photos and feedback is welcomed. Encouraged, even. At Tanger Locust Grove, I posted a review with photos and was personally thanked by the owner. But at Tanger Commerce, I discovered something quite different. While taking a few standard photos during my visit (like I've done at dozens of malls - some with almost 100k views), I was approached by a security guard, followed from across the complex from Nike to Marshall's, photographed, and informed that photography is prohibited unless I had a press or media pass. When I identified myself as a reviewer, hoping for some clarity or even conversation, I was met with suspicion and stone-faced enforcement. My boss makes me enforce this rule I was told - leaving me wondering who his boss is, as from the owners replies to other posts it clearly isn't them. Here's where it really gets confusing: a multitude of other reviewers--on both Yelp and Google--have uploaded photos of storefronts, interiors, signage, merchandise, and even selfies at this very location. Entire photo carousels exist, ranging from fashion displays to food court visits, without a whisper of consequence. One reviewer even uploaded 14 photos on Google and was publicly thanked by management for their "great review" and "wonderful experience." only a month ago. So I ask: if photos are truly not allowed here, why is enforcement only aimed at some of us? Why the inconsistency? And more importantly--where are the signs? None were visible. No policy posted. Just a sudden switch from shopping to being surveilled. Reviewers, take note: If you're documenting your experience, know that Commerce enforces its "rules" selectively. You may be ignored like the 50 reviewers before you--or you may get followed, photographed, and reminded you're not welcome to record your visit. P.S. - I'm not being paid for my reviews, nor do I have anything to gain from this. I just enjoy helping people find great places to spend their time and hard-earned money. But this place? This wasn't it and recommend it I do not.

This is a large outdoor shopping center that hosts a number of big box stores, a bunch of different…read morestyles of restaurant and several smaller stores. It is located just off I-85 making for a very convenient shopping experience. I was here for the Paris Baguette which opens at 7am and then over to Starbucks which opens much earlier. Lots of parking this early in the morning and it was easy to get into the shopping center. Departing at 8am was super easy to get back onto the Interstate heading north. The shopping center also includes a large Rooms To Go, Homewood Suites, indoor go karts, Whataburger, Halal Guys, wings, subs, smallcakes and even Pickle Social. Lots to do here. Personnel-The personnel are always pleasant and helpful This time i appreciated a young man who sent me to an unusual location to find a gate I was looking for . The cashiers are always smiling and efficient even when they are very busy. Department store wise there is Macy's, Sears, Belk, and JcPenney. There are also the more popular stores such as Express, Wet Seal, AE, Hollister, Bath & Body Works, VS, and places you'd find in other malls. There is a mini food court here as well. This place is pretty much half filled with college students. Can ya guess why? lol. I was part of that crowd when I was at UGA. :) If you're in the area, go take a browse on campus. The drive is only 10 to 15 minutes. So for a college town, this is not so bad of a mall. It is two stories high with a dollar theater at the outskirts of the mall parking lot. There is a mini recycling center near this dollar theater as well.

They treated them like their own & that made me feel so good. They weren't intimidated one bit when we walked up to order treats for our big family. These ladies are pro's. And to make it even better, the girls all decided they wanted snow cones & they made them the best snow cones ever, with amazing holders that they could actually sit down on a table etc. The entire experience was so nice & we could not go on, without sending them a thank you.
