This store has nice items, and the experience is generally good. However, I would urge you to make sure that the purchases you make you are certain you want to keep. Today is the second time I've had difficulty returning items. These are items that were not worn, I had my receipt in hand, everything matched item per item on the receipt. Apparently they wanted to credit me back with kohls cash when I purchased the items using my debit card. Then gave me a 800 number to call to figure out the issue. This store is always clean and organized. They have an Amazon return here. They also have Sephora inside which is a huge plus!

I found this store to be very clean, organized and the staff to be friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with the personal attention and assistance by one of their staffers who works in cosmetics. I believe her name was Amber (of Asian descent). While she was filling display cases with cosmetics she stopped without any hesitancy to happily assist me and did this was several times. I was looking for a discontinued lip color that I have not been able to find since leaving Los Angeles a few years ago. They didn't have it but Amber was able to find a couple of tubes very close to what I was looking for. They happen to be colors she personally owned as well. I sat at the makeup table and tried several samples with her nearby to kindly assist. Made the purchase along with other clothing items and am very happy with the service and products. Having great affordable products is definitely an incentive to shop in a store and for me customer service can also be a strong deterrent or incentive to shop and return there as well. A little over a month ago I made an online purchase from Kohl's. I managed to misplace the receipt before I even tried the item on -- a pair of shoes, btw. I took the shoes to the Dacula location to EXCHANGE them for a smaller size. I didn't want any money back, I wasn't trying to get anything I hadn't paid for, but I sure felt like a criminal when I walked away from the customer service counter. The clerk's demeanor, body language, facial expressions and tone of voice were condescending and blatantly accusatory. Basically, she was of NO help in anything other than making me feel horrible. After taking the over-sized shoes to my car and returning to make a separate unrelated purchase, I returned to the customer service counter to let the clerk know how she was "coming off." Perhaps she just didn't realize it. She was about as receptive to constructive criticism as a cat is to water. I will never visit that location again. Now, it's not all horrible; I chose to visit the Lawrenceville location 2 days later. Apprehensively, I approached the customer service counter and shared my conundrum: wrong size, no receipt, uncertain of what payment method was used for the purchase. THIS time the clerk politely asked how many cards I had that could have been used. I replied, "Four." And, she patiently began running them all to find the one. The third time was the charm and I was able to make the exchange. I was both pleased and baffled at how easy the process was . I seriously don't know how they stay in business with the fantastic sales that are ALWAYS going on here. I don' think I've ever come here to shop and some 10, 20, 30, 40 % (or so) off sales wasn't going on. If you have a Kohl's card, sometimes there's additional savings and other promotions where you get $10 coupons for every $50 you spend. I think my wife likes it because I don't complain as much when I see the bill and the savings @ Kohl's. They've got everything we need for our entire family from underwear to coats, and hats to shoes. I feel like I can still pay the mortgage even after splurging from time to time. But probably my number one attraction to Kohl's is they are NOT located in Malls. This way, I don't get trapped being dragged from store to store pouting like a little kid who can't have his way. I might be a grown man, but I'll have an epic 5 year old meltdown in a heartbeat if I gotta do too much browsing in the same day. Plus I'm not a bargain hunter. Don't get me wrong, I like a good deal, but I don't like to search for it. Kohl's totally satisfies these little quirks about shopping and allows my wife not to have to babysit me. I don't shop at Kohl's. They don't have a single item of clothing to fit me, so there's really no need for me to go there. My wife, however, spends more money than the entire GDP of some small nations at this place. She may be single-handedly keeping this Hamilton Mill location open, judging by the amount of stuff she buys there. Anyway, we were out watching a movie last night at the movie theater nearby, and I got dragged in Kohl's afterwards. I get bored easily after watching my wife stare at Santa Claus pot holders for 45 minutes, so I started looking around. I began to notice that virtually everything - EVERYTHING! - in this store is made in China. We were in the home goods section. Picture frames, curtains, pots, pans, dishes, etc., all Chinese. All available online for a fraction of the cost. No better than the stuff a standard Walmart would carry, really. But, I get it. My wife enjoys the brick and mortar, traditional department store shopping experience. But, the endless rows of overpriced Chinese crap isn't the reason why I'm rating Kohl's one star... When my wife finally decided that it was time to leave, we go up front to willingly participate in the time-honored tradition of exchanging money for goods and/or services. This is where things went horribly wrong. There's maybe 4 to 6 cash registers up front. Two of those registers have humans of some sort standing very near to them, so we assumed that they were standing there to take our money. We stand. Human number 1 says nothing. No greeting, no acknowledgement of any kind. So, my wife asks her if her register is open. She says "No". OK. Move on to human number 2. There's a lady in the process of attempting to make a purchase, however, I think it was the first time both this lady and the cashier have ever attempted such a feat. It wasn't going smoothly. After about 10 minutes of standing there, the guy waiting in front of us dropped his purchase and left. Then, human number 1 who told us that she couldn't ring us up started taking guests that were behind us in line. Another guy walks over there and tries to get rung up, but the cashier walks away. He leaves his purchase behind and walks out. The entire time, this older woman is behind the customer service counter not really paying attention. So, I ask her if she could ring us up over there at her counter. She didn't respond. Didn't even make eye contact. At that point, we abandoned our potential purchase and left. As we were leaving, we heard the old lady behind the counter get on the intercom and ask for more cashiers. What. The. Hell? Look, despite the internet and Amazon, Kohl's still has customers willing to drive to their stores, stand in line and pay more than they should for less-than-top-quality merchandise. You'd think that they'd be so damn happy that those people still exist that they'd have the absolute very best staff offering the absolute best customer service to keep those people coming back to that store. I didn't want to go to this store to begin with. After that experience, I wouldn't set foot back inside if you paid me. Of course, my wife will probably go back at some point, and I will roundly chastise her for putting up with Kohl's nonsense in the future, but I won't go inside. Nope. Not me. Kohl's, I give your Hamilton Mill location about a year before you have to close it up. You're open until 11 on Saturday nights, but your customer service must go home around 7. Not good. Maybe you should send a management team down there and take the staff on a field trip down to the Mall of Georgia. Visit Von Maur. They, too, are a department store. They sell similar items, and some higher end items as well. But, I want you to see how clean Von Maur is, and I want you to experience their level of customer service. I don't mind paying extra at Von Maur because I get the extra service that should accompany the brick and mortar shopping experience. You're sorely lacking customer service at Kohl's. If you don't find some soon, you may alienate enough of your customers and have to shut it down. read more

Kohl's is my number one go-to place for quality clothes for a low price. They give out so many coupons and have so many sales that I usually don't ever end up paying more than half of what I expected to. Plus, their clothes are of good quality and are stylish, but also cheap enough to buy lots of them. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. read more

This store is tucked away in Dacula, far from metro Atlanta behind a Home Depot. It is not as busy as some of the other locations but the store is big, clean and the staff is courteous. I really like the deals that you can have when things are marked down or on clearance as you can pick up quality apparel, houseware etc. for significantly less. I love shopping here. read more
