    Club Salad with Bagel Chips

This restaurant is a hidden gem. It is a very laid back atmosphere. Usually I go for lunch. They have a very courteous and friendly staff. It's a great selection of soup, salads, and sandwiches. I decided to have the club salad. It's was a wonderful blend of ham, turkey, and bacon in addition to the greens, cheeses, and pickles. Also, the bagel chips to dip in the ranch tasted excellent. Will definitely be returning.

Love the food and service here. Good food, friendly service and ample food selections. Even home made pies and cake slices. Plus.. the restrooms are always clean, and the place has nice music playing in the background and ample seating. This location also offers wifi. Free water. They also serve breakfast including grits, eggs, bacon and sausage.

It was our first time this morning. My wife ordered a bacon and egg plain bagel sandwich. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. Both were toasted. The taste was OK. Similar to Einstein Bagel. The bacon was undercooked and mushy. The egg was luke warm. The cheese was on the wrong bagel so I moved it over myself. It was disappointing. The staff was nice but there appeared to be some confusion on who was supposed to be handling the cooking. The men's room had a pretty dirty floor and there were no paper towels, just napkins. There's definitely room for improvement. We won't be returning anytime soon.

Beagle Bagel has a solid bagel and cream cheese selection. They have great coffee and a great lunch menu as well. The chicken salad is excellent, my personal lunch favorite. Overall, a great choice for breakfast or lunch.

Well, first the good, the Everything Bagel was everything it should be, the garlic-herb cream cheese was great as well. Tsuya got a ham, egg, cheese breakfast bagel sandwich. Said it was a bit on the salty side, but then proceeded to eat the whole thing sooo . The coffee was hazelnut, so that was kinda so-so, good if you're a big hazelnut fan I guess. Now the bad, the service behind the counter was extremely confusing and slow. Everyone was running everywhere behind it, which only made it more confusing. Stations might make it better. The coffee is self-serve, and when we went to get ours, one of the machines was empty, we had to let the staff know. Someone should probably check in on that periodically, and both pots were still open under the coffee maker which only served to add to the confusion. It was dine in and take out which is nice in this day and age. Bottom line, if you've got some time to kill, and don't mind waiting a bit, not a bad place to grab a bagel and a coffee in the morning.

A hidden gem! This place should be on Diners, Dives, and Drive-ins. Amazing bagels with a large variety. The surprise was the desserts.

Great service, convenient, delicious. Recommend for chicken salad, a bagel and cream cheese, or their breakfast.

Got a bacon egg and cheese bagel breakfast. Atmosphere was slow and quiet, but food was fresh and servers were friendly.

Visiting relatives in Jackson, they recommended Broad Street for takeout lunch so I treated and…read morepicked up the order. This review is strictly based on my Shrimp Po-Boy which had the worst fried shrimp I've ever experienced. It was cooked beyond belief and felt like chewing rubber. Breading was probably tasty had the order been properly cooked but could not tell. I had my wife taste a piece, she confirmed my opinion. Bread was buttered and grilled but did not have the feel of a real po-boy bun as if it were on the old side which is strange as the place is a bakery. I don't know what dressing was used, tasted like plain mayo. This is a strong do-not-ever-order recommendation. Fries were good, probably cut fresh. If I ate in, the order would be sent back to the kitchen. My replacement would likely have been better but QC on the takeout was lacking. I understand it's a popular spot in Jackson and was certainly full when I picked up the order. My meal, sadly, was quite forgettable. Other meals that were part of the order seemed OK but, in my eyes, uninspired. Edit: Heard from the manager with with an apology and offer to make up for the issue to my local relatives since I'm only a visitor to the area. I'm convinced that this was a one-off issue and greatly appreciate the manager reaching out. I'll give them another try on my next visit and will update things accordingly.

The waitress misunderstood and brought out three complete plates. These are not cheap items, so it was a significant mix-up on their end. When I politely pointed out the error and asked if they could adjust the bill by removing the extra orders, the operational manager was brought over. Instead of trying to make it right, he knelt down to speak to me in a very condescending tone, explained restaurant policy, and only offered a 25% discount. He refused to compromise or remove any of the mistaken items, even though the kitchen error created the waste. I felt like I was being talked down to and treated like a child, which led me to ask if this was how they handled similar situations with adults. He immediately accused me of being insulting and emphasized his position. At that point, I chose not to escalate further to avoid causing a scene. I paid the bill (thankfully a friend helped cover it), but the whole interaction left a bad taste. The food itself looked fine from what I saw, but the combination of the order mistake and the dismissive, ego-driven response from management made the visit really frustrating. It felt like they were more interested in protecting policy than taking care of a customer after their own error. I understand mistakes happen in busy restaurants, and not everything can be fully comped once plated. However, a more empathetic and professional approach from the manager would have gone a long way. I'll think twice before returning.

We walked in…read morearound 9am on a Sunday morning and, after confirming they had pork-alternatives on the menu, waited to be seated. The place was not crowded but was doing a decent business and we only waited about a minute before being escorted to our table. The space is slightly cramped, as you have to walk single file down the aisles, especially if there are customers at the tables. Regardless, the decor is nicely done with cool copper looking A/C ductwork exposed among the black painted rafters and beams in the ceiling. I was immediately arrested by the Apple Fritter French Toast, French toast style fritters with fried apples, rum butter sauce, blueberries and powdered sugar! Both the description and the pictures on the menu were mouth-watering! But I was also torn between that and the Bourbon Street Pancakes, three house-recipe cakes topped bananas, pecans, rum butter sauce drizzle and whipped cream. Yeah, I was thinking exactly what you are thinking right now! After much indecision, I opted for the French Toast, with a side of eggs and chicken sausage. My mom ordered the Pumplin Crunch Waffle, a pumpkin infused graham cracker crunch Belgian waffle, spiced pumpkin cheesecake butter, maple pumpkin syrup and powdered sugar. I also opted to try one of their Cranberry Pomegranate Fizz Mocktail, which was iced tea, cranberry and pomegranate syrups, lime and ginger beer, with rosemary and orange peel! We were taking no calories prisoner today! After a short wait, my mocktail was brought out. It was just okay. First, the glass was completely full of ice so there was barely any drink. The syrups were a little too sweet and the ginger beer was not very prominent. As I was tasting it, our server came back to inform me that they were out of apples for my French Toast. Maybe its just me, but 9am seems kind of early to be running out of ingredients for your featured dish at a breakfast/brunch restaurant... Anyway, that dilemna settled, I reverted to my other choice and got the Bourbon Pancakes. I also asked the server to remake my mocktail with less ice, which he obliged very quickly. Our food arrived shortly thereafter and the pancakes were really good! Just the right amount of flavor and syrup. My mom's belgian waffle was also pretty good, although she wished it had been larger. The eggs and sausage were decent, but not especially memorable. Overall, it was a really enjoyable first meal back in Jackson. I would not hesitate to come again!
