TERRIBLE. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS !!!!!! Owner John tried to take advantage of me being a younger woman and tried to scam both me and my insurance company. Told insurance he fixed my car when in reality he just pocketed the money ($3,000+) and ghosted me. When confronted by insurance, made up all kinds of excuses to deflect the blame onto me like I "didn't show up to my appointments". When my insurance company asked for a reimbursement so I could get the work done somewhere else, they REFUSED because they said I signed paperwork promising that they are the only ones allowed to do the work (not at all true). I went in to get a copy of that paperwork and owner John REFUSED to give it to me and called me all sorts of names. I'm a young college student and he was calling me expletives, telling me i'm out of line, i'm the "wicked witch of the west", etc. He also tried to blackmail me. DO NOT GO HERE. All I have heard is terrible experiences- I was distraught after being yelled at by a grown man for 30 min straight since my insurance company and I caught him in a scam. 100% could file a law suit against them- for your own safety and quality of your auto repairs please do NOT risk using this company. Beacon Auto is TERRIBLE. I finally ended up getting my money reimbursed once I started to take legal action. Please do not go here. read more

My mother and I purchased a car many years ago. She has passed. The loan was in both my name and hers. They sent the title to the registry only in her name. I have asked them to cure the faulty title. They would not it knowledge that they made an error. They said they couldn't remember very much of the deal but it must've gone where we asked for it to only be in mom's name. Is it an amazing how they can state they don't remember but can come up with a scenario where it's not their fault. Their advice to me was to forge my deceased mother's name, don't bother to tell the registry that she is passed. I happened to be hit by a car across the street from Beacon, fortunately I wasn't hurt, but I couldn't drive my car, it was a blessing in disguise to be hit there. the people were very friendly, Mr. John Savasta who operates the body shop was very helpful, I was in a state of shock, he offered to call an ambulance, called the insurance company, made arrangements for a car rental and kept the car for repairing. Within 4 days I had my car back, and of course a new found confidence in good service and people. When I went back for my car I was relaxed enough to notice that it's a family business, run by three brothers, nieces and nephews, they were all very friendly and courteous. If I decide to replace my car, I will certainly go there. read more

I have never in my life experienced such a genuinely honest and compassionate group of auto sales and repair shop. I just happen to drive by and needed an inspection sticker so I stopped it and I am so happy I did. There was someone in front of me and i was still only there for less than 20 mins and in that 20 mins I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with almost everyone that worked there. They have been in business for 60 years and for good reason. They were the nicest group of people I have met in a long time. While I was there a women called who's husband bought a car off of them 8 months prior and she locked the keys in the car, without hesitation they told her not to worry about anything and that they would be there in 10 mins to get her into her car free of charge. When the guy hung up with her he told his co worker the situation with such compassion ( instead of frustration ) and asked him to go help her and he was more than happy to go help this person get in her car. I said to the guy that it was really nice of him to help her and he responded " it happens all the time, it's just part of the job ". I know from personal experience though that it's not part of their job and 99% of any other place would have said to call AAA. I could tell even from my very short time there that if I ever have any car trouble or when I decide that I want a new car I will without a doubt be back to Beacon Auto. For any smart shopper, stay away from this place. I purchased a trick with a plow. The Owner / salesman lied to the bank and told the the truck was a diesel. The bank had to fight with him to give me the keys and possession of the truck. He kept it for a week, saying it was because the bank did not pay him, but the truth was, he didn't have the title. The truck is only worth about 8K (I found this out after) and the plow is scrap metal, that they horribly welded and spray painted over. I had second thoughts and told him this and he gave me a guilt trip on "how hard he was working to get me approved." The truck has sense been broke down twice. I brought it to HARR and they replaced the crank sensor, and then told me I had to replace EVERYTHING in the front end, because it was all rotted out, and cheaply painted over to cover it up. My Suspension, steering, linkages, gear box, pumps, all need to be replaced. $5,000 + worth of repairs. I can not get a lemon law thing on them because MASSblemon laws is it had to be the same problem and they have to have the opportunity to fix it three times for the same issue and if they are successful, then it falls under a lemon. Well every time something gets fixed, another thing breaks. He offered a 30 day warranty, but after he kept it for a week, and I felt with it for two weeks, then he keeps for for another week for because he "can't figure our the issue". That 30 days went by way to fast. Then he tells me the bank made him pay an additional $500.00 because I did not live at my home for more then 8months. We called the bank and they said that never happened and he is just trying to get money out of us. These guys are your typical inner city scumbag car dealers, that will sell you a car that about to explode, as long as he makes money. They have no actual care for customers. There mechanics are all a joke as well. A crank sensor, was a 5 minute fix. They had my truck for a week and a day, and could not figure it out. The job on the plow alone let's me know they are not real mechanics, they just try to cover up the issue rather then fix it. Like unplugging a check engine light, instead actually fixing the issue. Beacon has served my family for many years. They maintain a reputable line of cars, dedicate sufficient time to guaranteeing a fair purchase, and depend on repeat customers. I've had body work, mechanical work, and detailing done at Beacon, and have been pleased. Granted, times are tough for independent retailers in any commodity; but Beacon, with so many years in the business, continues to work hard. If there's a problem, they will work to make it right. Don't go here. I spent cash and when there were simple maintaince problems they made me return several times and never did the work. I had to take my car somewhere else to get simple problems fixed. Like other reviewers I wish I could give zero stars. Went there with a friend who is looking for a car. The dealership was running some sort of sweepstakes, which was causing a great deal of confusion. Finally one of the salesman started screaming at the customers who who were complaining about the promotion. I didn't understand the sweepstakes but it seems to me they decided to run the promotion, if it is poorly executed then that is on the dealership. When my friend and I left after not being shown any cars, the dealer yelled at me "have fun walking home", which I guess, was supposed to be an insult. Odd though since I drove myself to and from the dealership with my own car. Sufficed to say my friend did not buy a car. Awful place, extremely disrespectful once he took the deposit.. took my money rented a hotel ,partied, didn't come in the next day. I had a trade told him motors blown it's junk he says no problem he had it towed then backed out called the bank canceled everything ( even after accepted and a full Massachusetts contract) then he tries to get a higher loan amount without my permission! !! Police involved, lawyers, and I've been driving the car for 7 days now to find out he wants it back. .So if we decide we can persue suing them for breach of contract. read more

I had bought a vehicle from this place and every day that goes by I kick my self. I was lied to about work that was done, and was not. After further investigation I discovered that the odometer was rolled back. These people will tell you what ever you want to hear just to sell you crap cars. I purchased a used 2006 Chevrolet Impala from Beacon Auto Sales in 2008. Initially, the experience was pleasant. The representative I spoke with was attentive and answered questions thoroughly about the vehicles I was interested in. The Impala was in great condition minus one engine issue, as the engine light was on when I purchased it. Before purchasing, I had the Impala inspected by my regular mechanic, which Beacon was more than happy to accommodate. This is when my experience went from excellent to HORRIFYING... After having my vehicle inspected by my mechanic, it was determined an engine issue I was unfamiliar with needed to be repaired. I reported my mechanic's findings to Beacon, and they agreed to fix the issue. After Beacon returned the vehicle to me, I had it inspected a second time by mechanic. My mechanic told me that the issue had not been fixed, Beacon had merely turned off the engine light to mask the issue. I returned the Impala to Beacon yet again to fix the issue, they took it in again and claimed they would fix it. They later returned the vehicle to me, and I yet again had it inspected by my mechanic. My mechanic told me YET AGAIN they had not fixed the issue, only turned off the engine light. Understand, by this time Beacon had already placed a passing inspection sticker on my vehicle, which my mechanic explained to me is illegal due to this particular engine issue not being resolved. I called Beacon to explain my frustration with this issue not being resolved. I insisted that the issue be fixed or I would seek legal action. The gentlemen I spoke with on the phone stated, "You do what you gotta do," and hung up on me. I RECCOMEND NEVER PURCHASING A VEHICLE FROM BEACON AUTO SALES. THEY APPEAR FRIENDLY DURING THE SALE, BUT ANY FOLLOWING ISSUES THEY COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT. THEY WASTED MY TIME AND MY MONEY. THEY ARE RUDE AND DISHONEST. read more
