What an awesome place! Pizza and wings were outstanding. We tried three different pizzas and all were good. Service was fast and friendly. Great place to relax after some time on the water. I will be back for sure! Wish I was there with my buddies right now.

As a local musician / vocalist, I have performed in thousands of restaurants, bars and venues. The patio at Beachside Billys is one of my all time favorite places to perform as well as enjoy a meal and cocktail with my family and take in the beautiful view of the lake and sunset. They also have very large retractable sun shades and misters. Brittany and Connor are like family to my husband and I. Thanks beachside for so many lovely memories. Can't wait to perform here again. Cheers!

We decided to get away from Austin and come out to the lake for lunch on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised the restaurant wasn't packed out. As a matter fact, there was just a handful of people sitting on the deck. When you finally reach this destination after driving through the winding curving road, you'll find parking to be very limited. Just a handful of spots out front and less than 10 across the street. Since this is a major tourist spot for waterpark attendees, towing is strictly enforced. We were acknowledged upon entering the place, but that's where the service pretty much ended as we sat at our table trying to understand the QR code and how to order. We sat at our table for 15 minutes trying to understand this QR menu with the never-ending scroll down. Service is definitely lacking and apparently printed menus are not a thing here. After 20 minutes the server finally did arrive to see why we weren't ordering. I was told they have very limited staff, which is why they go with the QR code. Problem is, we do all the ordering and they probably still expect a tip. Long story short, we finally just got up and left. The idea of coming here in the first place was to get away from frustration, problem-solving on a smart phone and poor service, as a result, this overcame the otherwise pleasant outdoor vibe. The food coming out to other tables looked good, just not great, which also cinched it. So if you're in to an almost total lack of service and confusing QR codes, this place is for you. Definitely not a place I would return to.

This was our first time coming here! We sat on the patio and had a nice view of the lake. Connor was very friendly and provided awesome service! The food here is fresh and homemade! We would highly recommend coming here!

We walked through this establishment after leaving the Yacht around 8:30. The ladies was still celebrating and Beachside Billys was NOT missing out on the fun, they provided a round of shots for the girls, and some of their locals join in on the fun. As if they needed more, Lol. Beachside Billys was all LOVE and all FUN. Thanks for treating our bride-to-Be and Bides MATES to a round. I had to sit this out, given I was the Mate who was the driver, back to the hills and curves to Lago Vista, a sista was already scared.

What a view! The patio looks westward over Lake Travis and catches views of the sunsets. You can hear happy sounds from the neighboring water park. The menu focuses on comfort foods like burgers and chicken; the fun part is choosing from the creative toppings, like the beachcomber burger with grilled pineapple, avocado, cheddar, and bacon. The service moves at a leisurely pace, but we got everything we needed, and the point of going to a beachy place is to let go of the nine-to-five. Time to relax!

I'm kicking myself that I've missed out on the last 5 years! So obviously this is my first time in. I walked in, not knowing what to expect. A lady behind the bar made eye contact with me, greeted me & said sit wherever you want. A lot of tables were taken. There were a couple open, But I'm solo, so I sat up at the bar. Another lady came over and started chatting with me like we were old friends, which I love. God Bless Texas! She was telling me everything is good, you're not going to be disappointed. Burgers are fabulous. And so on. Once she said waffles, I was in! She wondered off cleaning and helping other patrons. I looked over the menu, saw chicken and waffles. I was sold! A young man came over and asked if I had a drink in mind. I said yes. Mexican Coke. Would you believe I've never had Mexican Coke before. It's true. This was my first, right here at Texas Toast Breakfast and Burgers. Memories being made. To be honest, I don't drink soda much at all. I also said I was ready with my food order too. Chicken and waffles. He said good choice, it's a big Texas shaped waffle (love it) with a big piece of fried chicken. He put my order in and gave me my Coke in a bottle. No fountain type drink. Felt like an 80's Coke commercial with a real glass bottle. Feeling fancy. Since I'm solo, I put my ear phones in and listened to my own music. A little Lenny Kravitz, American Women, if you're interested in what I was listening to. My plate came out, and Oh ! My ! Word !!! Chicken & waffle big as my plate. I nearly cried, gasped, unbelievable! Seriously, this was a solid breakfast, and now I'm really bummed I've missed out for 5 years! I joined the clean plate club even though I was completely stuffed. Chicken was tender, juicy, hot and fried perfectly. Light crispy, not greasy. So, so good. The waffle was light & fluffy, but once I smeared the butter on it and soaked it with syrup, I put the chicken back on top of the waffle and cut away at both. Solid breakfast. Completely epic. Enjoyed every bite. Was in my own little world with my music and good food and an amazing Mexican soda. The service, way top notch. I felt like family. The young man that took my order, Alvaro M, totally chill with me, we talked a little about ourselves. And that I never knew this was here even though I drive by on 620 for work. Truly, great service. As a solo diner, it's nice to have human contact. Even though I had my ear phones in 1 ear, so I could still hear and interact. Had the best service, food, interaction. Couldn't have asked for a better first impression. Can't wait to come back. Parking lot is pretty large. So you shouldn't have a problem finding a place. This seems like an off the beat residential neighborhood with a lot of RV parks, and boat launching area. Like I said, hidden gem!

I grew up eating (and later making) really good chicken fried steak. So I didn't come in casual. I came in ready to evaluate. First things first: this spot is tucked into a strip mall, and if you're not paying attention, you'll drive right past it. Keep your eyes open. Walking in, though? Completely different story. The vibe is laid-back, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. We were greeted right away and told to sit wherever we liked. Midday on a Wednesday meant it was nice and quiet; no wait, no chaos. Drinks were simple - Mexican Coke for me (always a win), fountain Pepsi for my lunchmate. (it's always nice when they have both options) We both ordered the chicken fried steak because of course we did. That's what brought us here. Sides: Me: green beans + mashed potatoes Them: salad + mashed potatoes Gravy situation: Me: classic Them: chorizo gravy Food came out quickly, which I always appreciate. Let's break it down honestly: The breading on the chicken fried steak? Perfection. Crispy, well done, exactly what you want. The meat itself? That's where things fell short. It needed more tenderizing--cutting into it took effort, and the texture leaned dense and chewy instead of that tender, fork-friendly bite you're hoping for. On top of that, it was missing seasoning, which made the whole thing feel a little flat despite that beautiful crust. The chorizo gravy (per my lunchmate)? Solid. Good flavor. But even that couldn't fully make up for the lack of seasoning in the meat. Sides were a mixed bag. Flavor was there--but mine had noticeable cold spots, like they'd been reheated unevenly. My lunchmate's sides were warm, but not quite hot. Now here's where they win big: The service. Top notch across the board. Everyone was kind, attentive, and welcoming without hovering. The owner even came by to chat for a bit - super friendly, clearly passionate, and we genuinely enjoyed the conversation and hearing about the food. That kind of hospitality goes a long way. Overall? I'd come back. But next time, I'm switching it up. The owner confidently recommended the waffles, and after that conversation, I'm willing to give them a shot. Because while the chicken fried steak didn't quite hit the mark for me this time, the people and the atmosphere? Absolutely worth another visit.

Free parking is available, but I am sure it's better to visit at night in the summer. We were 4 people, and after hiking, we were, I mean, hungry. They welcomed us and took us to the corner of the room, where families occupied a few tables. Since the tables were so close together, we just got up and told them we would sit outdoors. I was wondering why they insist on using only one side of the indoor dining room, since the rest of the room was empty. The outdoors were not that crowded. A family with their cute pets was enjoying the food and conversation. Thank God it was a nice breezy day. It was kind of a late lunch/early dinner time, so we decided to try a few things. Since we have never been to this place, our server recommended a few things. I was craving a burger and salad. Please take a look at the pictures. The food was not bad, and the service was very attentive. We ordered dessert with ice cream and enjoyed the ice cream more than the actual dessert. At the end, one of us went to the bathroom and came out fast, and said, " Don't use the bathroom. It's very dirty. That was sad. We took two hours to get here, and now we need to find another place to use the bathroom and wash our hands. So are we going back? I don't know. Front desk help was ok, could be friendlier. I mean, just a welcome smile will be appreciated.

Finally they brought our food, and did not ask if we needed anything else at that time or during the rest of the meal. After waiting patiently for a long time, we had to flag down a passing waiter just to get the check. It felt like we were in a no-man's-land where no waiter thought that table belonged to them. The ceiling fan got broken after it hit the string lights and one of the propellers broke and suddenly flew to my face, luckily I saw it and just turned around but still hit my neck to shoulder area. It was a huge, thick fan propeller and I don't think people will understand this if you didn't experience or saw it in person. Everybody was in shock and panicky because no one is turning off that ceiling fan even if it was still broken and hit ME on my neck! My family had to shout a few times just so everyone is aware to turn off the ceiling fan! Other than that, one of the staff members were a little bit nosy and staring at us and giving us that annoying look! And that's unacceptable and inappropriate. To conclude this, someone needs to be liable.. definitely not coming back to any restaurants named after this company in future. Luckily, the food and server was good but still not a solution to a horrible accident that could have been prevented by the staff or maintenance. Safety of customers is the top priority but they have ZERO of that yesterday! Thank God for the EMT and for my family who took care of me.

The League Tavern is a gastropub…read more "Gastropub". That word is so 2010's. A decade ago calling yourself a "gastropub" was the coolest thing in the hospitality industry. Now, it is a lost artifact of another decade, along with Swedish House Mafia and Britney Spears. The League calls itself a retro reminder of the eating clubs of the 1920's and 1930's. It is pretty damm good as a gastropub. It would not really want to be an eating club of the Prohibition era. Menus in that era could be pretty awful. Mashed parsnips. Liver and onions. Greens that have been cooked to death. Tough steaks. Low quality lager beer. The Indian Puddings were all right. The fish was great if it was fresh. I wish they would bring back Welsh Rarebit. But the League sticks to a contemporary menu ... And I am glad they do. Their contemporary dishes are just great. I had a faro salad with grilled shrimp on top. The faro salad was everything I would want a grain salad to be. (I have had some awful tabboulehs and quinoa salads in my time.) The shrimp were completely lovely. Prices are high - but that is what comes with being a gastropub. The concept is: Pay more. Eat higher quality. The Lakeway market will certainly support the League in the prices it wants to charge. The selection on the menu - and for that matter the selection at the bar - is fairly restricted. Having a small menu is not a necessary correlate of being a gastropub. Some gastropubs offer you an expansive range of choices. But careful management of the menu choices means that each and every dish can be polished to a high degree of execution finesse. Practice makes perfect. My guess is that the League envisions itself as a neighborhood place - albeit a rich neighborhood place. Their customers are likely to be regulars. The regulars order their favorite dishes over and over. I myself like my bars and grills to be Cheaper, Funkier and With bigger selections on the menu and at the bar itself. So the League is not exactly my style. But what they do, they do well. They are expanding, opening more branches in more locations. They can do this because the League fills a real need in the Lakeway-Bee Cave market. If a Lakeway resident were to invite me to be their guest at the League Tavern, I would be happy to accept that invitation. Especially if they were picking up the check.
