This is a lovely cafe/bistro located along the promenade at Teignmouth sea front, there are steps to access it but I am a disabled lady who walks with 2 sticks and given that it has a very sturdy handrail I can manage the steps unaided in my own time! Once inside you won't be disappointed. It has a range of seating from comfy upholstered bench style seating to table and chairs. It has a lovely light and airy atmosphere with big windows offering views out across the sea one side or overlooking the Den (open green space) on the other. If you hoped to have your cream tea 'al fresco' there are two options, a small balcony overlooking the Den with one or two tables or at the front of the building they have a collection of bench tables with umbrellas on the promenade, lovely in the sunshine unless like me you hate being stalked by the odd curious wasp
I have been visiting The Beachcomber for years whenever I am in Teignmouth and have never had a cause to complain, the food is excellent and they have a range of of cakes that are simply delicious! They also have a very tempting menu with a daily specials board! All this is made special by the friendly and welcoming staff.
I often visit with my Aunt who has a little King Charles and she has been allowed to bring him inside and sit him under the table (on his lead) upon request! read more
