BT's Oceanfront is the hotel restaurant at the Embassy Suites Deerfield Beach - the hotel has been renovated in time for 2023 so other reviews you see may be stale--I can't find the current menu on the Interwebs. IMHO, you go to BT's because you have to. Like you're staying at the hotel and you can't muster the energy to venture out. Or maybe the kids want to stay by the pool or you just flew in or whatever. There are a few passable items on the menu but plenty of it is pretty bad. Our experience in 2023: Liked: French Fries, the Cuban Sandwich, the Mediterranean Salad, the kids Grilled Cheese and Fries. Passable: Chicken wings (don't expect a crispy skin). Ugh: I don't recall the name but it was a plate of mozzarella sticks, spring rolls, calamari and I forget what else. The spring rolls were filled with a veggie (?) mush, the cheese in the mozzarella sticks was unrecognizable and the breaded calamari was pale. We barely touched it. Your mileage may vary. read more

While staying at Embassy Suites for a 4 night stay My daughter and I ate here and food was amazing, we ordered the burger with fries and it was delicious best burger ever. Tastes homemade and very filling. Food was hot and fresh. Side house salad was good I just wish it had some romaine added other than that it was a big portion for side salad with plenty of dressing on the side. What an absolute shame and waste of a beautiful space. If they could put out a menu that didn't spit in the face of the customers then they might actually have a chance at having a decent restaurant, but as it stands that menu is the most insulting thing I've seen in a long time. I've never seen a place with the gall to charge $16 for six shrimp of that size and quality, $22 after tip and tax. With such a nice space you would think that they could get a chef that is worth a damn, and have a restaurant that's an actual destination. My go to place when I'm too lazy to leave the hotel. Bar staff are always friendly and easy to talk to. I stay at the embassy suites whenever I'm in town for work. Last year I stayed there for 3 months and the staff have always been welcoming. Pretty much tried almost everything on the menu from chicken alfrefo, ny strip, Turkey club, burger, Cuban, pulled pork, mahi mahi, blackened salmon. The turkey club and blackened salmon would be my two favorite dishes. Free cocktail hour from 530pm to 730pm is a big plus. Recommend a visit if you're staying at the embassy suits read more

While staying the the Embassy Suites Hotel for a family celebration (even though I live in the next city), we had two spur of the moment family meals (it was raining out, and nobody wanted to venture out) for 25+ people. The staff was able to set up for us pretty quickly, even with minimal notice, in our own room, and did not flinch when we asked for 8 separate checks! The restaurant is beach-casual, the menu is pretty extensive, and worked out well for everyone. While I would not make a special trip to eat here, the food was very tasty, and freshly made. If the weather was nice, we might have strolled into "downtown" Deerfield Beach, not because of anything negative about BT's, but more for a change of scenery. read more

I seldom have high expectations for hotel restaurants, but as this was a "resort style" property, maybe there was a chance? I stopped in here twice: Lunch and breakfast(free for hotel guests). Lunch: A pretty empty restaurant and bar during a late afternoon Monday. I ended up sitting at the bar and asked for a menu. I was surprised at how limited the menu was, as this is supposed to be a full service restaurant. I went with a club sandwich, which was decent and the service was acceptable. Overall seems like a decent option, given that there is absolutely nothing within close walking distance! Breakfast: Long line for an omelet and I had limited time. The buffet was understocked with pretty much every item. I had some eggs and leftover combination of undercooked and burnt bacon. Only bran muffins and mystery looking danish left in the bread area. I know it's free, but even at that: I will not be coming back here the rest of the week. read more

Attached the the Embassy Suites Deerfield Beach. The restaurant houses the free breakfast as well as the free happy hour for the hotel. I had lunch here while waiting for my room to be ready. Craig and Brian were fantastic bartenders who gave me a ton of advice on where to go eat and what to do around the area. The fish tacos were fantastic! Only ate here because it was in the hotel. Complimentary breakfast was pretty crummy (it's a buffet, no waiter service at all). It's a bit dingy and musty especially if you sit inside. All drinks come from machines, even juice! Food prices for other meals at BKs felt about 40% too high for what they were. If you have a car, you have much better options minutes away. $25 for their entrees? No thanks. read more

If I could give it a zero star...that would be too high! I travel multiple times per week, for work, and normally across multiple states. With that said, I often utilize the Hilton hotel restaurants due to the ease and accessibility. By now, I've probably stayed in a few thousand hotels and eaten at the same amount of hotel restaurants. This place got bad reviews, but it's on the beach and gets lots of travelers so I figured I would go against the grain and try it anyway. I should have stuck with the bad reviews. I sat in a very uncrowded bar (myself and 6 other patrons) for over 35 mins...never being greeted. I literally stared at the passing waitresses and two bartenders multiple times and they broke eye contact, filled other patrons glasses, cleared their tables, etc. I wanted to see just how long I could push this...they won! I never got any help. At the 25 min mark, I finally asked for a menu and got a sigh and a menu flipped in my direction...but no one ever returned to take my order. I watched as one bartender went on break and the other chatted it up with his buddy. At just over 35 mins, I ended up walking out. This place has the absolute worst service I've ever experienced in a service industry based location. The key words...service! Oh, and I wasn't the only one to experience this. I watched as a couple walked in, around my 15 min mark, and was told that they could sit anywhere. They sat at the poolside and received the same lack of service that I did. I walked out with them and we both spoke to the hotel manager...who asked us both to go back and let her speak to the manager at BT's. Ummm...no thank you! This had to be one of my worst dining experiences in quite some time. I would NOT recommend eating here. The food is low quality and the service was unacceptable! We checked in with a server before we even sat down. She acknowledged us and never came back. Nobody came for that matter. Checked with bartender for menus and mentioned we'd been sitting there for 10 minuets. After another 10 minutes I finally literally flagged down the restaurant supervisor that was right next to us! Free breakfast for hotel guests: same omelette Chef for years, remembered my grandfather, husband said its the best omelette he's had in a long time. Potatoes cold but really tasty. Waffles better than pancakes. Coffee strong. Free cocktail/manager reception for hotel guests: bartender super friendly and efficient keeping line flowing. Madras was tangy and Cosmo was limey, both delish for free house brand drinks. Snacks consist of tortilla chips/salsa and carrots with ranch (at least that's what has been offered the past 2 evenings). Tables get crowded; this is a popular time to be here. If you're just a dinner guest, be forewarned you must fight through the drink/snack crowd to get a dinner table (tables for dinner are kept open in the rear of the dining room). Dinner service: expensive for what it is, Maggie was nice to me at first but things went downhill. I won't blame her for the slow as beans kitchen service bringing out entrees a loooong time after we ordered them (not busy in the dining room) but I WILL blame her for not having the greatest attitude about it when my grandfather asked the status of our order. Slow getting check, too. Mahi mahi and vegetables were really delicious, though, very well seasoned. Room service: quoted 45 min on the phone, arrived in 15 minutes flat, pretty awesome for any hotel, esp Florida on spring break. Caesar salad subpar with eh salad dressing and dry chicken, chicken quesadilla very delicious, brought a pizza pie that we didn't order and charged for it. Delivery girl was super nice and quick to offer us the pizza and a revised bill slid under the door moments later reflecting the correct price. Just a sidenote, Brandon who works here is a delightful young man who tries to be friendly with all the guests and remembers faces, tries to engage with everyone. Nice to see. On another sidenote, if you're a visitor (not a hotel guest) you can get your parking ticket validated here if you ask so that parking won't cost the $15 fee. Parking was very easy. Greeting was immediate and my son and I sat with an amazing view. The palm trees were amazing, buy the female rolling blading squad was a sight to see, according to my 10 year old. I was actually able to tell him a little more about women, so BT's will be edged in our brain forever. Food is always amazing. Whole menu is great. I know I certainly would not go to a restaurant that has absolutely no turnover that means the food has been sitting around with the possibility of not being fresh at all, on top of really bad service! We always like to have a few drinks and appetizers in the afternoon here. The atmosphere and view are fantastic. We can sit at the bar and watch the beach and ocean. I like the Kettle One strawberry lemonade drink. We tried the Bocce Balls, the bruschetta and the lobster flatbread, all were good. The spinach artichoke dip was ok. My parents and I stopped through here on our way up the coastline and because we were staying at the Embassy, we decided to just eat there despite the low ratings we noticed on Yelp, Urbanspoon, Tripadvisor etc. The following morning we also took advantage of their complimentary breakfast to save a couple bucks before hopping back onto the Florida Turnpike, and I I'm basing this review off of both experiences. Their dinner was actually pretty fantastic and I haven't a negative word to say about it. The server was great, the food was great and the prices weren't too crazy for being attached to a fairly pricey oceanfront hotel. We were very happy with our decision to dine there and had it been a restaurant in our home town we'd happily dine there again. The complimentary breakfast was indeed a bit on the "just okay" side, but for a free (say it with me everyone, FREE), all you can eat breakfast it really wasn't nearly as bad as these folks are making it out to be and I wish people would put things into perspective before rating establishments. I see complaints about a lack of wait service, drinks coming from machines (tell me, how else would they have you self-serve drinks?), the food being tasteless etc etc and I just smack my palm to my forehead. I would rate their FREE breakfast food equivalent to that of a Denny's or a Waffle House, except that you can eat ALL THAT YOU WANT for FREE and you can serve yourself quite easily by using those two things we call legs to walk (WHOOOA!) up to the buffet and those other two things we call hands to serve yourself (WHO EVEN DOES THAT!?). What's the problem here, folks? I don't see it. The only problem I had was trying to maneuver around some of the elderly folks who had a difficult time navigating the buffet with their walkers, but they were cute and old so I don't blame them or BT's. If you're really that spoiled, drive up the road a bit to Boca Raton where I'm sure you'll be able to find yourself a nicely portioned $30 breakfast. I would totally eat the hell out of another complimentary breakfast if I decided to stay another night, and I'm kind of a picky bastard. Went to BTs for dinner on my daughter's birthday with her friends, as we were staying at The Embassy Suites. Our waitress was Danielle and she appeared to do well up until appetizers. We asked for water and she brought two pitchers, yet never followed up to ask about our individual drink orders. Then proceeded to forget to check on us while we had very thirsty group of teenagers who wanted at least a refill on the water. We ordered several pizzas for the group. She came back with boxes of pizza and paper plates. It's my daughter's birthday and we're dining in your restaurant, we don't want pizza boxes and paper plates. We all had to get up and serve ourselves because huge pizza boxes clearly didn't fit at our table. Then I let her know that we have a cake which is being held in their kitchen. She tells me it's a $3 per person cake cutting fee and with a very annoyed tone asks "are you aware of that?" I told her I had spoken to the manager and clarified this fee, which he stated was $5 total for the table. She questioned who I spoke to, which I couldn't recall his name. And then let out a huge sigh. Unbelievably, rude and unprofessional! She drops the cake off with the cake cutter and doesn't even bother to serve it though I'm getting charged for it. I was so upset this was happening on what was supposed to be a fun and special occasion. It infuriated me that an 18% gratuity was automatically assessed for a large group. I would have complained except it was a skeleton crew of her and the bartender. I will NEVER return here! This place has great potential, but with horrible customer service like Danielle's, there will be no business!! read more

We came here for a wedding and though I usually wait to visit a place three times before writing a review, I don't think we will be back in Deerfield Beach anytime soon :/ We had a great experience here and thought their space as a reception was lovely. It has big windows, that showed you outside to the beach and patio. The food was delicious - I had a tofu plate and my boyfriend had salmon; we were both very pleased. The service was great; the employees were smiling and seemed happy to be there. I would recommend this place for a similar celebration or just for a good ol' date night dinner :) read more

We had a large family dinner here while staying the Embassy Hotel. Service was actually pretty good but we had a party of 25+ and I believe one waiter which was surprising considering they are not under staffed at breakfast or happy hour reception. The food however was mediocre at best. Nothing I tried stood out to me, basic bar type food that is somewhat over priced, but they can do that because it is the only place to eat in the hotel. Thank goodness we spent the previous two hours loading up on drinks during the free well drink happy hour reception in the bar area or our bill would be twice as much. I would get a burger or wrap here for lunch or something but you are better off going outside the hotel for some actual food. In the mood for a better bar, head to Duffy's. Fast food, Wendy's and Five Guys are down the block. If you want seafood, go to Papa's Raw Bar it won't disappoint. read more
