If you love a thin pizza with a crispy bottom and perfectly crisp crust, you're going to love this place. The staff was friendly and attentive, the tables were clean, and the restaurant had a quaint, welcoming atmosphere. They also have a great selection of bourbon and tequila, along with a nice variety of beers near the register. Overall, it's a charming spot in a great area. Placed the order at 8:30pm and were told we couldn't get delivery because they close at 10pm. This statement made no sense to me, especially since we were ordering from a condo that was less than a field goal kick away from the restaurant. We were also told it would take 60 minutes for 2 pizzas to be ready for pickup. That seemed like a long time to me but you can't hurry good food. Since the pizzas were terrible the good food line doesn't work either. These 2 pizzas take the prize for the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. M&M size pieces of sausage unevenly scattered only in the center of the pie. The pepperoni was more evenly placed, but the crust was literally burnt to a crisp on the edges and soggy in the middle, which is difficult to do so I guess that's why it took so long to make them. We also ordered an antipasto salad. If you look closely you can see the single piece of onion near the top of the picture. The meat and cheese were ok, for processed meat and cheese. A few slices of tomato and a handful of Kalamata olives on a bed of greens and a 1 ounce container of Italian dressing. Very disappointing, but compared to the pizza it was the best part of the meal. The worst part of this catastrophe was that this is from a Gulf Blvd restaurant in a resort town. Prices are resort town prices, but service and quality are way below average. Never again!

I'm sure the cooks were getting ready to go home and all that, but they made it perfect. Mouthwatering as what it was and if you read my reviews, I've been all over the country reviewing restaurants. One Definite plus for me is they put things in metal containers. Styrofoam and plastic are poisonous. They did put my french fries in a Styrofoam container which I did not like but maybe they'll get the message with this review. All you gotta do is put them in a bag. I definitely recommend. If you were ever really hungry, this Stromboli was awesome and enough for two people but of course I eat the whole thing.

Sometimes, you go to the local pizza joint to get a pizza or at least a slice or two. It is what a…read morepizza place is all about. But then once or twice you decide to take a table and see what else they have to eat. Yes, there are the basics. We all do that. But then there are the other items. It could be as simple as spaghetti and meatballs. And then it could be chicken p-arm, or maybe it is eggplant parm, or even seafood pasta, or maybe an Alfredo. It goes on and on. That is what we discovered here at Fortunato's - a lace I can literally walk to down the block. Like any good local places it is not fancy. The team are locals who make everything in-house. From the pizza and such, to the bigger dinner. And, if you are lucky, there are special items on the menu for the evening. Of course, if you get there early that can change and it does go fast. Having gone several times, and have brought soem family and friends, it does show what is different fromt he local place to a fancier Italian that you need a reservation for if you are lucky. Here, I like the chicken parm. It is like I would get it at home. I have also tried the eggplant parm and the seafood pasta. Sometimes I will opt for the great salad plate which is like having an Italian Antipasto. It has everything. And a single plate is big enough for two. So, it is a good meal to split. Half the salad and half the chicken parm. What is best, if you do go a bit early they even offer two glasses of wine for the price of one. Almost like Happy Hour. And, of course, the prices are lower than the fancy Italian places a mile away. Fortunato's has been around for some time. It has become the local place I will go to and bring some friends along. And that is not bad, because otherwise I bring the leftovers home...if I did not finish them all right there. As we say in Italian: CIAO!

This past time I hadn't…read morebeen in a while and I came in with an open mind but it's still just a mediocre experience for me. Starting off the parking lot is extremely limited. We came here for a family member's birthday and it was impossible to find a place to park. We had to circle several times before something opened up. I even called and asked where we should park if we couldn't find a spot in the lot and I was basically told "I don't know." I was almost ready to give up but luckily I didn't. On our third cycle through we found a spot. As for the food I got a chicken salad, which was just okay. I also got breadsticks and asked for a side of meat sauce that usually comes with the pasta. I was hoping that the meat sauce would be a little bit more meaty but it honestly tasted like marinara with very light meat essence. My husband got the baked pasta and was also disappointed at the lack of meat sauce in the dish. As for the service there's only one person working the restaurant, which means it took her a while to come over to our table and to get our food. Also remember that this place is cash only so factor that in when you come to dine here. Ambiance was fine. Restaurant isn't too loud at least.
