Beach Nails was amazing. We were here for Christmas and they fit us in the day before Christmas Eve! We had a large group of 8 and they accommodated all iof us. The manis, pedis and acrylics were some of the best we have had and we live all over the country. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Corolla. I'm from NY but come to OBX frequently. I visited Beach Nails with my sister a couple years ago for manis and we had a great experience so I decided to come back for a gel mani and pedi. I called today and was able to get in. I didn't need to wait upon arrival either. Claudia did my pedi and the owner, Jan did my gel mani. Not only do my nails look amazing but I love it here. They are a small shop and they are personable and professional. It would be my go -to place if I lived here year round. Do not go anywhere else. The shop is clean and welcoming. read more

Stopped there to ask if they have any availability or I can get an appointment. The person was talking to someone on the phone and had mentioned the next day's availability which the caller did not take. Told me there is no availability for the next two days when I know she had availability for the next day. I told her I will think and call later. As I was leaving, she proceeded to speak in a different language with the other person working and both of them started laughing. Definitely would not go there even if she is amazing if she cracks jokes on someone's expense. read more

Picture perfect!! I brought my 10 year old daughter here to get a "back to school" manicure and it came out exactly like she wanted it. When I called to make the appointment, I told JP that my daughter was interested in acrylic nails. She asked me to text her a picture of my daughter's nails and she followed up with a call, saying that my daughter's natural nails are so healthy and beautiful and she recommended a gel manicure. I was so grateful that she took the time to follow up with me and gave me a recommendation that was right for my daughter. Small clean shop, owner is super nice and greets you as soon as you walk in. Yes you need an appointment, big groups will take longer, she is only one person. My chair worked fine and made my shoulders and neck feel so much better. My polish looks amazing and stays on for 4 weeks. I would only ever come here again if I had NO other option. While my toe nails look ok, I had several issues with this place: -I got white polish and there are specks of black stuff from her floor that got on my polish when drying under the fan so 2 toes look messed up -we made an appointment for 2 people and only 1 person was working -the lady working wasn't very nice -she didn't start nails until 15 minutes after our appointment time (the hours say they open at 10am and that was our appointment time but she was doing someones nails when we got there) -it's $18 just to get a cut, shape and polish change -the pedicure chair she sat me in didnt work so the whole time I had the rollers digging into my lower back and couldn't move them. I tried with the remote and she didn't acknowledge it was broken. I really hate leaving negative reviews but this just wasn't pleasant. We come to the beach pretty often too smh Guess we should always get them done before we come! read more

I am ECSTATIC with the service I received at Beach Nails! I received a gel manicure with a design and pedicure, and the attention to detail and care was outstanding - from the foot rub to the gel polish application, nothing was skipped over or done haphazardly. They even gave me directions on how to keep my manicure looking good for weeks to come, and gave me tips on cuticle care. I took my two daughters here to get manicures, and honestly, if I could give 0 stars, I would. The lady who worked on their nails was extremely rude and impatient. She accidentally put on gel for my daughter's french tip, and immediately began cursing in front of her, saying things such as the f word and s word. However, it didn't stop there. My other daughter didn't like her style and asked if she could re-do it, and the lady groaned and continued to curse under her breath. Absolutely unbelievable. Had a great experience at Beach Nails! Was visiting the Outer Banks and in dire need of a manicure and pedicure. At first, when I called the salon they did not have availability, but called me back soon after to offer an appointment. Upon arrival, I felt very safe and comfortable with the way in which COVID restrictions were being implemented by this business. Each client is asked to wash their hands immediately upon entry and required to wear a mask. Plexiglass was secured between the manicurist and myself and my hands were even sanitized at the competition of the service. Additionally, the salon purchased a machine that disinfects cash. Aside from their COVID updates, the manicurist was very pleasant and provided a very thorough service. So glad that I found this place and would highly recommend it to locals and visitors of the OBX area! read more
