This place deserves an updated rating! I've been here twice in the last 3 weeks and both bowls have been delicious, hearty, FULL again and consistent! Not to mention the friendly staff! I'm back to loving them again. Stopping for a delicious, filling and refreshing treat! The price is a little pricy but you can't beat the product so I'll continue to go to them!

I visited on a bike ride. Parking conveniently located for me to lock it up while I ordered. What I got: regular mavericks acai bowl The food was good. I enjoyed every bite, it stayed cold, and it tasted fresh. The cashier was friendly, and made sure to ask if the order was to go or for here. The portion is kind of small, if I was really hungry, this would not fill me up. I think I would get a large if I was famished. Anyways, pretty sweet spot, interesting furniture inside. There was outdoor seating as well. 5/5 from me!

Highly recommend this little hidden gem, in Pacifica. The organic Açaí bowls are packed with healthy deliciousness and the breakfast sandwiches have become hubby's new fave. The lovely ladies running this gem are so sweet, warm and inviting making the Beach Monkey one of our new local faves!

Beach monkey is one of those hidden gems in Pacifica. Just few blocks from Safeway in Pacifica. One of the. Best açaí bowls on the coast. They make their granola from scratch, which is gluten-free. They have a big selection of wonderful different açai combination bowls. Made with love in this quaint little café. You won't regret it.

Great Quality, Quantity, and Variety! I'll certainly be coming back to try all the options. Its more expensive than a drink you'd get at Jamba Juice but also a richer portion. If you see the Acai Bowl I posted, it's about the same price as Vitality bowls with certainly a higher volume. The cozy beach town vibes are real! Great place to just plug in your computer, treat your tummy and get away from the town.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. The shop was nice and comfy and had beautiful decorations. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and the mavericks açaí bowl. The breakfast sandwich was amazing had great flavor to it and the açaí bowl was even better i almost had an orgasm the second i put the spoon in my mouth

Large Ocean Beach Bowl

I stopped by around 2pm on a Wednesday with my cousin after our hike at Mori Point. We were both craving an açaí bowl and decided on getting a Large Ocean Beach ($16.99 before tax/tip). We opted to share the large because it was double the size of the standard which was already $12.99. The Ocean Beach was a mix of açaí with banana, strawberry, almond milk and peanut butter. Topped with some banana, honey almonds and granola. You can really taste the peanut butter in the mix although it was not visibly noticeable. The açaí was very smooth and wasn't too icy or watery. I do feel like the almond milk did overpower the flavors of the açaí, strawberry and banana but it was still good. Some suggestions I have would be to add some peanut butter drizzle on top for added flavor and to maybe have a layer of granola in the middle of the container. I felt like there was a lot of açaí but not much in terms of toppings. If there were toppings in the middle, the added crunch makes a difference.

Best service and very good Açaí Bowls ever. Highly recommend you go here. They have other great stuff as muffins also.

Quaint cafe with a neighborhood feel. In addition to coffee, smoothies, and acai bowls, they also have small, pre-packaged containers of mediterranean food if you want to grab some of that. We came after a hike nearby and ordered two regular-sized acai bowls, both of which were good and satisfied our craving to devour something light. Service is friendly and the bowls were ready in about 10 minutes. There are a couple tables outside if you want to enjoy your acai bowls right away when they're at their best and you don't want to to eat in your cars.

Ross's Cove Smoothie

A local cafe serving smoothies, açaí bowls, coffee, and the like. Came in on a Friday before noon for a Ross's cove smoothie which was good. I had a friendly conversation with the cashier about my dog that I was walking and my smoothie came out quickly. Good and quick service.

Bu! Bu! Brass monkey! That funky monkey! Brass monkey junkie, that funky monkey! Now this little spot right here's got what you want and need if you are heading down to the beach on a chilly morning or late afternoon. Their coffee blends are something special and I was lucky enough to experience a few of them but the one that definitely stood out to my temples was the Loop D' Loop. This dark espresso roast with a chocolatey bold body had me singing a Shirley Temple song! And it goes a little sum thing like this...Oh! Animal crackers in my soup! Monkeys and Tigers! Loop D' Loop! Yes it was that good to me and the craving for that nice buzz. Besides the great coffee their smoothies and Açaí bowls are definitely no joke and perfect for a walk on the local beach. It was also interesting to see that they also offered a nice variety of Turkish sandwiches and grape leaves. But that's definitely for next time on my list! Service was on point every time I strolled in. And that's my take on this funky monkey beach cafe, Peace out...

Their baguettes were great and their Irish Soda Bread was surprisingly delicious! I saw this place pop up on Check Please Bay Area and decided to give this place a shot while I was around in the Pacifica Area. I was genuinely surprised it was located in an old outlet/plaza and felt slightly out of place vs all the other older shops but after stopping by here, I can definitely say it was like a gem in the rough that was well worth the visit. The wait time here was a bit long at around 10 in the morning but oddly the line died down quite quickly at around 11 onwards, so it seems like the wait time can fluctuate throughout the day. Decided to order a few sweet pastries, pizza, and baguettes and after trying a bit of each one, they were all great in quality and freshly made. It was also my first time trying an Irish Soda bread and I have to say it was like a very dense pound cake with dried fruit inside and thoroughly enjoyed it! All the staff here were very friendly and felt very welcoming to enjoy a brief stay here for my baked goods and coffee (coffee was also great quality too). If I'm ever back in Pacifica for whatever reason, I can definitely see myself making a bit of a drive to stop by here for more. Check Please Bay Area wasn't wrong and I'll also give my recommendation as well for others to give this place a shot too.

The service was on point the whole time, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Food wise, it was a bit of a mix. The matcha pancakes looked amazing and the cream on top was really good, but the pancakes themselves were a little on the dry side. The noodles were actually a pleasant surprise and very different from what I expected but really tasty. The wings were super good too, especially with the sauce on the side so you can control how much you want. The clay pot dish was just okay, nothing bad but nothing that really stood out either. The highlight for me was definitely the steak and eggs! it was cooked well and probably the most satisfying dish we ordered. Overall, it's a solid spot with great presentation and good service, but the food didn't completely wow me. Not bad at all, just not something I'd go out of my way for but still worth trying at least once.

They throw on a basketball game and sometimes if it's super slow, the staff will come out from the back to watch. I've enjoyed their panini sandwiches & some pasta dish (can't recall the name). Have yet to be disappointed by Buona Italia Caffe! It seems like they also take reservations for larger parties, I've came in a few times where three or four of the tables are strung together for family dinners. The Chit Chat Cafe has been a staple for my artistic expression. A home base for my writing and drawing hobbies and a lovely stop off for weekend tunes or to people watch. It seems like there's always at least one person in there reading the newspaper while sipping coffee, or working on their laptop with their headphones on. The baristas have always been friendly, especially Tyler! Such a cool dude w/ charming charismatic energy! I have completed two stamp cards in the past 2 years at this location and the one on the pier. I remember coming here in the storm one day, in 2015, when I was on my bike, locking my bike outside and having hot cocoa & a glass of water, with the wind & rain pounding against the glass. It was such a magical experience, that I decided this would be in my all-time top three cafes in Pacifica. Thank you for staying in business as long as I can remember & providing an authentic Cafe experience in Pacifica! You rock, Chit Chat Cafe! (Gaah I need to take pictures when I write these reviews. The bar was full and no one was in the dining room. Empty at 6:30pm. The prime rib $35 (Fri/Sat only) comes with either soup or salad. Only Fridays will have the clam chowder. The warm bread is so good here. I love the generous butter tray. The soft butter spreads so easily over the warm bread. Instead of the baked potato, I always get the garlic fries at no extra charge. The prime rib is OK, a bit chewy and not aged or herb crusted. I had a hard time finishing it as it got tedious after a few bites. It tasted too plain and needed the au jus and horseradish to be edible. You figure the service would be better as I'm the only food customer. No. The waitress was talking to some customers at the bar most of the time. My water didn't arrive until after my food after I asked for it again. Before we dined in, we grabbed some drinks at the turn and they had ready-made turkey sandwiches. The turkey sandwich doesn't come with anything and was kinda dry, but I dunno it was the right kind of snack to get me through the last 9 holes. We came in around 1pm and they I noticed a big board with all their specials. I saw the prime rib hash, and I knew I had to get that. For $20, it was a whole lotta food. It came with a side of eggs (cooked to your preference) and hash browns. For a hearty breakfast, this one is worth trying. It did need a little salt and some hot sauce, but I enjoyed the meal nonetheless. My girlfriend got the half tuna and soup (chicken tortilla) and the tuna sandwich was pretty good as well. Soup, wasn't a huge fan of though. The menu itself has plenty of burgers, sandwiches, and lots of breakfast plate options. If you are coming for an early morning round, they have breakfast burritos and sandwiches for around $12. A solid choice considering the convenience of being right at the course. Turns out they do a prime rib dinner special on Friday and Saturday's after 4:30PM, it's recommended to come before 7:30 because they do sell out. Will definitely be back to try this out!
