I love the workers there very friendly Service greeted me as I walked in acknowledged me during the wait time and even offer me a cup of iced water meanwhile I waited. The Food there is delicious I personally enjoyed the bbq chicken salad it was my favorite item on the menu, if I ever work around that area again I would definitely stop by again for another salad it is a relaxing spot to sit and enjoy a meal with a friend I recommend this place if headed that direction read more

Beach hut is always a great sandwich. It's always clean and friendly. I usually get a large and make it two meals.

Can't really complain. It just doesn't get the five star rating because of the price... anyone that knows beach hut knows they make great sandwiches but you pay for the greatness!! Great view and service. Get a loomis basin aloha hawk brew and any of the sandwiches, sit on the deck and enjoy the view. read more

It's been months since I've been here, but I've been thinking about my last few visits for a while now...... the first time I went, they could not figure out how to use my gift card! They ended up double charging me on my credit card charging me but they were friendly at least.... on second thought maybe I got scammed who knows it's only money right? The staff here is consistently unprofessional and crass. The last time I was here, there were three young ladies working, and they had several friends just hanging out. They were all obviously drunk and being quite loud. I can't in today, and the staff is being loud and using obscene language. I don't know who's managing this place, but it's a disaster. Love this place and the staff. I have eaten here a couple times now. I appreciate how welcoming they are and the time they take to answer questions regarding beers and ingredients. Darn second to review! It is my fault because I went last week and am just posting my review. The service was good and the atmosphere excellent. The new remodel of the building was a 10. It looked modern yet a little rustic that matched the rural town of Penryn. Two of my girls ordered the breakfast sandwich for lunch, one with sausage ( not too good in my book) and one with bacon. The boys got beachcomber sandwiches. I did not toast mine. I had salami, turkey, cheddar and pepper jack cheese. It's located off of the Penryn exit if you will drive towards Reno you will have to take a Penryn exit then on the stop sign torn left and drive across the bridge to the first stop sign. This is a small place inside the house about five chairs inside one table and couple tables outside it's a great Place just stop by and get some lunch they have plenty of sandwiches and they are very delicious I didn't know what to take. Awful service that needs to be addressed. First off, my order was messed up and I had to go back and request my additional items. Secondly, it took the "kids" who work here over 20 minutes to make two regular surfin' birds. What the heck? There were only two people ahead of me. Furthermore, several of the tables outside had finished meals on them that were not cleaned up during the 40 minutes that I was here. Mind you, there was maybe 4 people in the whole establishment. just ordered a 6 inch turkey over the phone for takeout. Sandwhich was ready when I arrived and lady who was making a sandwich came over and made the CASH transaction while wearing clear colored gloves. I was OK with the change cash having the slime from the gloves but as I turned to leave I noticed that she went right back to making a sandwhich with the SAME GLOVES. I should have asked for my money back as I'm sure she was the one who made my sandwhich. Waited 30 minutes for three sandwiches, placed my order from home and drove 10 minutes to get there. So over 40 minutes for them to make three sandwiches. The restaurant is dimly lit and gloomy, the staff seem uninterested in their work and for the amount that you pay for the sandwiches is overpriced. Excellent sandwiches and salads. BUT I will never be able to go on there again. I ordered take out a few days ago. There are absolutely NO PRECAUTIONS being taken. No masks being worn - no social distancing encouraged or requested. There was someone else picking up. He was leaning on the counter where the sandwiches were being made. He was chatting with the two workers who were Unmasked working side by side Behind the counter. They were chatting away with him, facing down on the sandwiches they were making for me! Called to place a phone order as we were on the road and needed to grab and go. 25 minutes later on hold and yes I kept the wait time on my phone we walked in to place our order in person to show the girls behind the counter that we had still been on hold waiting. She had a very blasé attitude and didn't seem to care stating that oh you must've just been muted on my phone What is your order. I thought maybe they would offer us a free drink or free chips of which I would've declined that but it was just to show them hey you're keeping people on hold. I don't know if there was a manager on hand but if you don't have one you should have one there to keep those girls in line with their attitude of customer service and to tell them to wear masks every single moment behind that counter. It is so nice to have a convenient and healthy sandwich shop locally with good beer but I can't go back. I would love to support additionally because the Beach Huts serve beer from Loomis Basin Brewing it but I can't. There were NO SAFETY PRECAUTIONS POSTED OR IN ACTION. When I went in for pickup the other day, not one employee was wearing a face mask including food prep. The counter was dirty, the iPad for paying was dirty. There were patrons hanging out and talking within 6 feet of me and with those preparing the food. I just can't eat food prepared by others with such carelessness. read more

I came in on Sunday afternoon (April 7th) with my niece and sister in law for sandwiches to-go. One word to describe the employees: Obnoxious! They were entirely WAY. TOO. LOUD! All were playing around behind the counter, carrying on, acting unprofessional, even burning a jalapeño popper in the toaster oven and laughing about it--what a horrendous smell! Not only this, but they are extremely slooooooow in taking your order, and making it! I waited in line for 15 minutes (one person ahead of me), and then another 25 minutes to get my to-go order of 3 sandwiches & a salad. My 12 year old niece complained about the NOISE level, as did my sister in law. We could not get out of there fast enough...our ears hurt! Trust that the patrons weren't having fun. We will never go to this location again, and we are your neighbors down the road. Management needs to know that this is a business serving customers, not a party house for its employees! read more
