Most of the time, I am able to make orders and go to the store and have a quick pickup. We like the sandwiches, it's usually our top choice for sandwiches. However, their online system is unstable, there are a few times I am unable to order online, I tried to call the store multiple times to see if they are aware of the issue and of course the phone call doesn't get through at all( called 5 times) and then I went to store and they said they don't know any issue about their online system. I arrived at the location and approached the counter. I greeted the employee by saying "Hi," but he did not return the greeting. Instead, he responded, "What was that?" I said, "I said hi," and then he asked, "Are you ready?" I replied, "I was just saying hi." He doesn't even say hi back His attitude made it seem like he did not want me to speak to him unless I was ready to place an order. He stared at me with a very unfriendly expression and had a very rude attitude throughout the interaction. I love when they do their Name of the day free sandwich deal. The bread here is delicious and love everything about them. It was not a good experience. Arrived at about 20 minutes before closing time to place a simple order for two sandwiches. There were no other customers. I had already looked at the app and found a special offer but could not seem to get it to apply, so I asked the attendant for help with it. He claimed to know nothing about it and said he couldn't do anything. He did finally make some adjustment to the price and I got somewhat of a discount, but not what was promised on the app. The attendant was clearly put off at having to fill my order, was not accommodating, and must've pointedly looked at his watch half a dozen times. Anyway, I did finally get my order, but upon getting home with it, found it unsatisfactory. The sandwich ingredients were very sparse and didn't even vaguely resemble the pictures on the app. They were also nearly cold. $26 for two skimpy sandwiches that weren't as good as what I could've bought at a convenience store for far less. Plus his attitude at having to actually do his job up until (horrors!) actual closing time. It's not a new experience here in California, though. I'm from the east coast, and there business don't give customers this treatment near closing time. They understand that closing time means that is when you can stop accepting new customers, not have them all shooed out the door so that you can turn out the lights and lock up and leave yourself at precisely closing time. There was some justice, though. Just as I was leaving, another customer came in with a few minutes to spare, and you should've seen the look on the attendant's face! Poor lady. I've been going to Firehouse subs for a couple years now. My previous review was 5 starts. Today was the last time I'm going there. The service was horrible and the sandwich sloppy. There are too many other sandwich shops in Roseville to go to one with bad service. The tall w*tch who made my sandwich never smiled, never greeted me, and handed me the sandwich without a work. While I love firehouse, it's pricey for a sandwich so we don't go there often. Picked up a couple this evening and literally everything is wrong. Checked my receipt had mayo on the turkey that literally says NO mayo and lettuce on the Italian that says NO lettuce. The lettuce we can live with...but when someone hates mayo as my kid does, we cannot. Unfortunate way to spend $40 bucks on two sandwiches. I would go back, but have somewhere to be! This is the last time I will be eating at this firehouse subs in Roseville on Pleasant Grove. I gave them a coupon that said you get a free drink and chips if you buy a medium or large sub sandwich. There was no expiration date on this coupon. The lady who waited on me, told me "Oh that was a promotion that ended in May 2025." She was kind of rude, not even saying sorry or explaining why they did not have an expiration date on the coupon. I paid the regular price which was $18.99 for a large sub combo. Middle Eastern owner-manager guy behind the counter flatly (& stingily to be frank) refused to honor an unexpired promotion coupon issued by the store on a prior visit. Free chips & drink with a medium or large sandwich purchase (I ordered the large). Offered up a lame, nonsensical excuse about the refusal. And he followed this with the gumption of asking me for a "round-up" donation when paying. And then the payment screen harkens you for an add-on tip to boot. Not only stingy, this came across as considerably tone-deaf on the part of him & the business. I mean is your margin so thin that you can't honor a chips & drink promo? Sheesh. Another customer complains of exactly the same situation regarding this promotion in a prior review. The menu board also reflects very noticeable recent price spikes. A large sandwich by itself without chips or drink that used to hover around $15 w/ tax not so long ago is now $20, representing a roughly 25% increase in prices. Add the combo meal to a large sandwich with tax and you're now well north of $20 for a sandwich meal "deal." Summary: A satisfying store visit by a customer involves more than just delivering a good product. And this visit surely missed that mark for me unfortunately. It pains me to leave a bad review of a business I've previously enjoyed, but one bad experience can really change things. While ordering, my teenage daughter, who does not eat bacon, asked the worker if the potato soup has bacon in it. The worker, instead of knowing the answer, checked by looking into the soup. Now, I personally don't know about you, but I'm not confident that eyeballing the surface of soup is the best method for identifying its ingredients. The worker then seemed to have forgotten why she looked in there in the first place, and instead became distracted by the fact that there was barely any left, and informed us she'd have to 'microwave some more.' My daughter, not quite understanding the relationship between bacon content and inventory levels of soup, again reiterated that her goal was to avoid bacon. The worker said 'okay' and added the soup to our order on the register. I also ordered the potato soup, though I am fine consuming bacon. The workers sufficiently warned us that the soup would take a little extra time to prepare and that it would be 'very hot'. When it finally arrived, my daughter's soup was mostly hot with pockets of cold. Mine, on the other hand, was mushy and completely cold. I believed they served me the remnants of the batch they had just run low on. In that first cold bite, however, was a big, chewy piece of... bacon fat! I looked at my daughter, then at the chunk of fat I had removed from my mouth, then back to my daughter. She looked concerned, but not panicked. I sifted through my soup with a spoon and found a piece of bacon. My daughter stopped eating her soup, and offered it to me (since hers was at least mostly warm). We then looked up the ingredients online, and saw that the potato soup does, indeed, contain 'savory bacon'. So much for relying on the workers to know what's in the food (or for them to check/ask someone). As if that wasn't enough, all of the Diet and Zero Sugar selections from their CocaCola Lifestyle machine were out. ALL of them. And that sucked, too. The sandwich did take a longer time than I expected to get ready, so do be prepared for that (don't order from here if you're in a rush!). I ordered a "firehouse pairs" meaning half a sandwich and a side of your choice. hook & ladder: 5/5, such a simple yet tasty sandwich! The combination of honey ham with smoked turkey added such a nice contrast of flavors. It was smoky yet sweet at the same time. The monterey jack cheese added a subtle flavor, and all of the vegetables were fresh and crispy. I also added cucumbers to my sandwich (no extra $). Overall, a really nice & simple yet tasty sandwich. 5 cheese mac and cheese: 4/5, the mac and cheese...AMAZING. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the cheese sauce tasted homemade and flavorful. It was the perfect amount of cheese. While I did like the addition of the mini croutons on top, I found them to be soggy. If the croutons were perfectly crispy, then this would be one of the best mac and cheeses I have had. Overall, this place will be a regular for me! I ordered a small bowel of Chicken & Dumpling Soup and Italian Grilled Chicken Salad. The soup had great flavor with thick broth and a generous amount of chicken and dumplings .... reminded me of homemade. The salad is one of the best I have had from a sub shop and it was huge. It consisted of oil & vinegar, provolone, cheddar, grilled chicken, cucumbers, mozzarella, tomato, romaine, salmi and bell peppers. I would order this again with certainty. I went to The firehouse on Pleasant Grove today. Very disappointing since usually a good experience and a good sandwich. They have a new owner who is rude and disrespectful to not only his employees but to his customers. They didn't have some produce because they forgot to place the order the previous day. When asked why he didnt just go buy some, he said it was now ordered. The cost of thier Sandwiches is rather expensive and now without produce. Also, No wheat bread. Thier was one person working the line of taking orders and making sandwiches by themselves. The owner was not helping his staff! He instead went to back to do dishes, and not making the customers a priority. When he returned he was asked why he wasn't helping with making sandwiches his response was "don't tell me how to run my business". That he leaves at 4pm. What? We waited almost an hour. When I walked in immediately I was greeted by a young man that was extremely nice, very helpful and helped me to customize my order to my liking and saved money by telling me the offers. It's nothing worse than ordering and realizing you could've done something to save money. He stated his name but of course I forgot to remember lol. It's a specialty sub that is smoked turkey breast, melted Swiss, and sautéed mushrooms, served "Fully Involved" (fully involved is loaded complete with mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a kosher dill pickle on the side) unless you say otherwise. I love mushrooms! The staff here are friendly and the speed in preparing your food will depend on the guests ahead of you but they're usually pretty fast. This Firehouse Subs is located in a small shopping center that almost seems to be a foodie destination in Roseville because of other fabulous restaurants located nearby including Chando's Tacos, The Habit, Flame and Fire, Naruto, Show me the Sushi, and Taj Oven among others which means parking can be very limited during meal times. This location is a one stop food place where you can change it up and have a different ethnic cuisine each day in a week. When paying for your sandwich the friendly cashier will ask you if you want your purchase to round up to the nearest dollar (example: your sub is $8.04 rounding up will make your total $9) that's because a portion of your purchase at all US Firehouse Subs locations goes to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to be used to provide lifesaving equipment to first responders. Donations saves lives. Photos and decor related to firefighters adorn the shops of each Firehouse Sub which is pretty cool. This is the third time I have come to this location, and every time I seem to be very disappointed. I'm not sure customer service is something that is taught at this location at all. Everyone seems to be busy worrying about gossip and not having to work at all. It's pretty said that the food is awesome just the people whom you allow to work here suck. I immediately called my husband and told him we had to try it. Fast forward 2 weeks, after a birthday party we gain an extra kid for dinner because the kids wanted a friend to stay over. How am I going to feed these 3 kids quickly and cheaply? Firehouse subs of course. My husband and I each ordered and meal, sub, chips and a drink. We got 3 FREE kids meals. The kids meals come with; Kids sandwich Fountain drink, apple juice or chocolate milk Chips or brownie or rice crispy treat Fire hat True story. I just fed a "family of 5" with sides and drinks at a fast casual restaurant for under $30. The sandwiches were GOOD too. I got the brisket and it is literally my new favorite. Kids got ham and turkey, they were all 100% gone. Hubs got the steak and he was a happy camper. Usually I would get steak and he would choose brisket but I guess we were feeling adventurous.
