Receipt for Reuben at Beach Hut Deli

Ordered Reuben Sandwich. We had not been to a Beach Hut in a number of years. We worked on Douglas Blvd and used to go there often. Negatives: Traditional Reuben is served on Rye. Rye was not even available. The meat did not even get to the edge of the bread. The amount of meat is 1/2 of what they used to include. There was no pickle slice on the side. The bill for a 6 inch regular with a 10% tip was $18.71 No table delivery they did not bring it out to you. You bussed your own table. In short, overpriced, with tasteless meat, Thousand Island dressing which was watery and NO RYE bread was available. A deli sandwich at Raleys or Safeway is FAR superior. We will not go there again, sad how it has declined. Atmosphere was fun but it does not make up for poor overpriced food.

Girls are killin it today!!! Workin hard on a Sunday for the money !! Ice cold beers and a Sammy with all my Granite Bay peep. No joke the place to be on a Sunday Afternoo.

Best sandwiches hands down! Bread made fresh daily and a great variety of sandwiches. They pile on so much meat in every sandwich that you will have leftovers if you order a large. Prices are more than fair compared to what you get. You can't get this freshness, quantity or service at any other sandwich shop. The Surfin Bird and the Malibu are my favorites.

It shouldn't take 20-30 minutes to make two sandwiches. Do better Beach Hut. Have more than one employee making sandwiches.

Super slow service. Even for to-go. Def call way in advance or order online if you're crunch on time.

Yes. I googled it and it says that it is a half of a sandwich.

Always very clean. Greeted and welcomed in a friendly manner and a big smile. West Coast sourdough are some of my favorite sandwiches, this one is no exception. Today I had turkey, pepper jack, avocado on sourdough ... Absolutely fantastic... The bread was just out of the oven, which made it a even better. It was also so well-made it looked like the sandwich could've been in a food ad. Also, every time I've been in here, the owner has been working the register and is just the nicest guy, extremely appreciative for the business. Every time it hasn't been too crowded, so if you live nearby and you like the sandwiches, be sure to get in and support this local business. He does a really nice job. While I was there, young guy came in asking if they were hiring... The owner was exceptionally nice with him. I like to root for and support businesses like this - nice people that own businesses that put a lot of effort into it to be sure that their customers get a great experience, and in this case a great sandwich. I'll probably make the trip more often to eat here.

Agreed this location is weird. Have been to this one 3 times and kept giving it a chance but I…read morethink we are done. Other locations have been great. The staff here is odd, last time, they forgot my tomatoes and when I asked them if I could have some they said I asked for no tomatoes (not true, but my husband did, his correctly did not have tomatoes), I found it weird they felt the need to tell me I asked for no tomatoes, which was not even true. But also why try to give a person a hard time about something that is standard on a sandwich? Also they refused to give us more than one stamp on our sandwich reward card saying it's one stamp per order, while the card clearly states "buy 9 SANDWICHES get the 10th one free". I said "your card says buy nine sandwiches and get the 10th free not anything about 9 orders" and she said "well that's just the way it is per our owner". So, let me get this straight... a person could come in here and get 9 solo sandwiches over time and get their 10th one for free, but if someone buys their family of 4 sandwiches, they don't get a free sandwich until they have ordered 9 times, potentially meaning 35 sandwiches to get a free sandwich? Or what, you want them to place each sandwich order separately so they can get a stamp for each single sandwich? Would that be better? What sense does that make? You are penalizing the people who spend more money per order and buy more sandwiches overall! The cards are printed clearly wrong if that's really the way it works, but honestly I think they are just being cheap. Sorry for the rant, but I think it shows the staff there wants to die on the stupidest hill of not having customers in mind. "No tomatoes for you! No stamps for you!" Don't think we will be back.

It is rather tiny on the inside with only three tables of two. So if you are wanting to sit and eat, you need to be a small party, or take your food with you to go. Thankfully there was plenty of room when we arrived for our party of three. Their decor is cute with plenty o goose to view, as well as their baked goods. Since it was our maiden voyage here we did ask the nice gal who was at the register for a couple of recommendations which we took. The hubster tried the Ham and Peach Grilled Cheese, the MIL did the Pick Two which included a half Rosemary Chicken Sandwich and the Strawberry Poppyseed salad, I also got the Pick Two and chose half Citrus Club Sandwich and the Street Corn Cesar salad. Everything was made fresh to order and was incredibly tasty! The hubster and I also shared a Cherry Limeade Summer Sipper which was divine. We decided we could not leave with out taking a few goodies with us for later. So we bought a Lemon Bar, a Blackberry Cheesecake Bar, and a Chocolate Sea Salt Shortbread. We don't venture to Rocklin on a regular basis, but when we do, it's nice to know where to go and to support a small business like this. Give them a try. You will be impressed too!

Ordered an ice tea that took about 15 minutes or more to make. Feeling frustrated so I checked out the baked goods while I waited. I noticed fruit flies in the class case with the food. I did tell the 3 girls working behind the counter very discreetly about it. As I watched the employees because again I waited for what seemed like an eternity for a black iced tea that was supposed to be infused with rose petals. The most basic tasting tea I've ever had. I ordered a large. It was a very small cup but whatever. Disappointed to say the least. 2 of the 3 employees working just seemed to do nothing but walk in circles while the 3rd seemed to be doing the most. I will say that it seems like a spot to work on one's laptop and several people were just enjoying themselves having conversations. The place is very pretty. So maybe I was just in a mood but to wait for so long for a basic drink was disappointing. And the drink itself was nothing special. It was only 4.50. I tipped 3. In hindsight I would not have tipped at all. Man, I sound like such a miserable Karen but doing so here makes me feel better.

The space is big with a lot of seating at tables, high-tops, & booths that can accommodate a few diners or a big party. Natural light comes in through large windows. They have self-serve Coca-Cola fountain drinks, including Gold Peak Teas. Napkins & condiments are also self-accessible. We got a 12" French Dip with 3 oz of extra meat & extra cheese, & a Supreme Cheesesteak. Food was served piping hot & brought out to our table. The mister liked the French Dip & thought it was tasty with a beefy jus that wasn't salty. However, he said he would order something else next time. I liked the Supreme. It had tender meat, good texture on the veggies, & was cheesy. The bread was nice & soft, but the flip side is that it impacted the structural integrity of the sandwich as I ate. The Fries were wonderfully crunchy. I liked dipping them in fry sauce & Ranch dressing. The mister's sandwich was served with a pickle spear that I took a bite of, but it was not good--fibrous, not juicy, & not very sour. The staff we encountered were friendly. We got checked in on a couple of times. The dining space was well-maintained.

It seems devoid of product, somewhat disheveled and disorganized and lacking any substantive character. The place appears very 'long in the tooth', and no food products were evident anywhere. Added to it, no customers, yet some came later. Yet, I was hungry and stayed. To be honest, glad I did. They sell essentially one thing-PASTRAMI, and that's it. Well, indeed true to the restaurant name. Again, everything is basic! I opted for a Classic Pastrami Sandwich and was given the option for bread, I chose a soft roll, and provolone for cheese, plus mustard. At $22. for a sandwich, well, I had some hesitation. The place is apparently owned and run by a charming older couple who really are out to please, very friendly and congenial. I felt like I fell into an old Russian Jewish deli on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, no frills. Basic, but good food! OK, the Pastrami and the entire sandwich were AMAZING! The quality of the meat was top notch and quite good, probably some of the best around. The sandwich was HUGE and enough for two meals. I was offered peppers on the side and it was perfect for me to add some. The sandwich was nicely warmed/toasted, the cheese melted perfectly and it wasn't a difficult messy thing to eat as are many more upscale sandwiches and burgers these days. So, in the end it was worth it. The sandwich was indeed a surprise and excellent. Plus, they checked after I bit into it to be certain I was satisfied, with a smile. I got some chips and a drink and ate it there. Plenty of napkins were provided. Located in a rather funky 1960s shopping mall it's small, not that easy to find yet parking seems OK. The Pastrami Shop was roughly 7 miles from home, so it was worth the short drive. The place is right off Sunset and Whitney Blvd in Rocklin. It's a very small place so ordering to go is popular. But if you find a seat, definitely enjoy the local vibe of the regulars and talk with the owners for a bit. They really are passionate about their business, and serving their customers. I really enjoyed my half hot pastrami classic sandwich. The bread was toasted, mustard, provolone, and a side of pickles and jalapeños. Boy was it good! I really should have had the full size. Give er a shot if you're in the neighborhood. You won't regret it. I'll definitely stop by again. Loved it.
