They did flooring, a brand new kitchen and bathroom, tile work, painting, electrical, plumbing, and several custom carpentry projects, including a large banquette facing the ocean. Everything was first class. Brooke is a great communicator - she responded to every email promptly and thoroughly, and we always felt listened to and taken care of. When questions arose, we would get an email or a call, asking us how we wanted things done. Brooke and Matt would meet with us at their office or at our condo to go over details. Matt is an artist at what he does, and an absolute perfectionist. When our shower tile was halfway complete, Matt was not satisfied with how it was turning out. He had the subcontractor take the tile off and start over, and the end result is beautiful. Were there hiccups? Of course, every project has them. But the bottom line is how those challenges, surprises, and changes are handled. We always felt in the loop, and all the challenges were met with quality (and sometimes very creative) solutions. Every detail of our new place is just to our liking - we could not be more pleased. You might be able to find cheaper contractors out there, but Matt and Brooke will treat you like old friends, and will do the job as if you are family.

Two side of our house needed siding replaced due to construction flaws and water intrusion. We chose SFW Construction based on their Angies List recommendations. The workers were very skilled, they knew exactly what they needed to do, explained everything to us every step of the way. This is painful work for a homeowner: it is slow, noisy, invasive, and very very expensive. It took over three weeks to do two sides of our tall skinny house, and we spent about 10% of the purchase price of the house on the repairs. Painful, as I said. Very happy with the work and the people who did the work. 5 stars for that. I took one star off because they recommended SFW Painting to paint our house, and if you read my review of that company, doubt may creep into your mind as to whether you should do business with SFW. I can say that SFW Construction did a good job, and they were very good people to work with.

The work required took 2 days longer than I expected, though they had made no commitments.. Each day, the contractors communicated with me very thoroughly, but couldn't give me an estimate as to how much time (and therefore expense) would still be needed. A lien notice was sent less than a month after the work was done, with no follow up from the administrative office. The work was well done, the customer service awful.

The job was completed inside my parameters and was performed as promised. My only complaint was the lack of clean up upon completion. There was insulation throughout the house. The mini blind was not put back up after removal and was laying on the window sill. Sloppy workmanship and apparently no supervision.

He just said "oh I've been doing this a long time I can just take measurements". We then received an estimate via email from "Colline Guerrero" last week and responded immediately asking for when their availability was to actually do the work. She never responded to multiple attempts to contact. Finally my husband messaged Meech late Monday to see what was going on and he called me and got me on the schedule. The office (Colline?) then called my husband and asked him how we were planning to pay, he said by credit card, and then she asked him for his credit card information to pay for it. Nowhere on the estimate were payment terms and never were we provided with an invoice for payment, so naturally we asked for those in writing and to email us an invoice so we have something professional in writing to go by. THEY REFUSED TO CREATE AN INVOICE FOR PAYMENT! She literally told my husband that they were not able to do that "because we're a national company", and I got on the phone at that point because as a small business owner I know it takes literally 30 seconds to put together and send a customer an invoice for deposit - I do it all the time. She said she would only send an invoice AFTER a payment was made, showing she clearly does not understand basic bookkeeping. She put Meech on the phone and he was horrific, and told us he was going to take us off the schedule because "they don't create invoices for customers". We told him that if they don't even have the basic professionalism to send an invoice for payment and include their payment terms on their estimates, we sure as hell were not letting them onto our property. They could clearly give a crap about running an ethical business. What a bunch of slimeballs.
