Tried this place because it's conveniently located in our hotel, Harrahs. We got here around 10:45 on a weekday so it really wasn't too busy. We got seated righ away and sat in a booth. The booth seats were a little run down. I was kinda worried that the food might not be too good since they didn't get too many good reviews. I ordered breakfast. I had the Country fried steak, which came with two eggs, hash browns and toast. It was very good. It had great flavor and they made my eggs perfect over medium. My hubby ordered the chicken wings and it was good too. We had coffee as our drink. Coffee was kinda light not too strong. Our server was very good and attentive. She kept calling me honey, I'm not too sure how I feel about that, but she was nice...lol. I was pleasantly surprised that we had good food and great service. read more

So be prepared it's at least $20, or barely under for any meal, per person, without soda or coffee to drink, and without tip. TOO EXPENSIVE!!! Really comfortable place, but kinda shady. I am a regular here, and usually do have a good experience! (except the servers ALWAYS drop the check when you are not even HALFWAY through, especially in the morning, but that's ok, they really wanna turn tables) The menu has enough variety, and it's 24 hours! The food is usually good as well. WATCH OUT though. As the pic below states, they present a menu with prices, then CHARGE MORE THAN THEY PRESENT to the customer. I work in this industry. If you present a menu, then tell a customer that is the price, then you MUST honor what you present. The nice lady at the front took care of it yesterday and made it right, but when I came back again today, a younger lady in the front stone faced and said, "you will pay what we tell you to, this is the new price now!" Another trashy restaurant in this area of food doom and gloom. The grease on the overpriced ($13) breakfast meal was shining through loud and clear and had to be returned and the taken off the bill. This meal took place about 9pm on a weekday, but the cook was having a bad day it seemed. I ordered the turkey wrap, which contained literally about a pound of turkey, old lettuce and not much else. The cook actually forgot to include and/or cook fries that I had ordered, so that was weird. The fries eventually came out, but the meal was already a disaster. Even the pancakes were not good. This was another great find in Laughlin at Harrah's Casino. We asked a staff member where's a good place for breakfast, he in turn said Beach Cafe is the only place I go. The hostess was amazing, not only greeted with a super big smile, but friendly and engaging! We loved her! She of course was super busy, but found us a table pretty quickly. Our server was just as good, coming by offering drinks and taking our orders. Our breakfast plates were so good and just what we wanted. Thank you Beach Cafe staff for an amazing breakfast and service to rejuvenate us for the day ahead! We definitely will be back! read more

Wish I could give this place a zero star rating. Worst customer service I've ever encountered. My boyfriend ordered the French Dip. When it arrived it was open-faced with thick dry slices of grey beef on what looked to be a hamburger bun. When he told the waiter it was inedible the waiter quickly turned away. A manager came and said "that's our version of a French Dip and look, I took it off your bill." Never once did we hear "is their something else I can get for you?" In fact, we were then completely ignored. When I waved the waiter over he didn't want to talk with us. He walked away from us before I could say anything. I was stunned. Then the restaurant manager appeared and said "I understand there was a commotion at your table." WHAT? My boyfriend said we came for dinner for two, not one. I told her our waiter never asked if there was anything else he could get for him. She said she'd take care of our bill. She didn't apologize or even acknowledge that we'd been poorly served. I walked out stunned by this experience. At this restaurant the customer is not king nor always right. Here, the customer is reviled and wrong. This restaurant does not deserve your business. Go elsewhere. The food court not only has better hours, they provide better customer service. read more

Food was okay. Had the country fried steak. The biscuit was dry. My coffee came with protein... a little bug. The server just refilled my coffee and was still at my table while taking orders. I showed him my coffee and he quickly got me a new one, but didn't remove the bug coffee? So I sat there looking at the bug in my coffee until I moved it to the other side of our table. Food was poor. My eggs and hasbrowns did not taste fresh . Neither did the fruit it tasted like it was made hours earlier . Service was very very very slow and they official made my list for the worst coffee this year. Maybe it was just today but I will not return to find out. We ate here over Fourth of July weekend for breakfast. It has since gone downhill since our last river trip. Service is slower and food is just ok, you can make better breakfast at home. They only serve breakfast unless you come after 11am. Our party of 6 was seated in a few minutes. I ordered a Belgium Waffle and I'll post a pic of what my husband ordered since I can't remember the name. Others had omelette and the country fried steak. All orders came out together which is nice. Also if you have a players card you get a $1 off each entree which isn't much but it adds up. My waffle was just boring wish it came with fruit on top. It took awhile to get the bill which you also take to the front to pay which is more waiting. I would come back for the lunch but not breakfast. read more

Here's the scenario... It's 3:00 PM and I'm hungry, Room service doesn't start until after 5 PM, The Steakhouse and Mexican Restaurant are both closed until 5 PM I'm not feeling the buffet, And I don't want McDonalds. Where do I eat? Drum roll please...Beach Cafe it is. I was dreading this because all I thought I'd be receiving was bad service and even worse food. Yes, I've been here before. To my surprise, I receive great service and possibly one of the best tasting salmon filets ever. Their salmon was thick, flakey, not fishy, and seasoned to perfection. The one thing about salmon that you have to love is its high protein, high omegas, and low calories. Top that off with it prepared to perfection and you got a happy Mel C. The salmon was so good that regret not getting seconds. I had this with a cup of chowder which was okay and some white rice. My only suggestion to the Beach Cafe regarding their salmon is that it should be served with a different type of rice. Sticky white rice just doesn't work with salmon. Now for the service. 5 stars to service, specially for Dawn. I got some of the best service and watched her give the same to other patrons. She knows her regulars and called them by first name. But she also treats her other customers, aka me, just as good. I've had a below average burger here last year with snotty service. Today changed my attitude. TIP: The menu is your basic type list that you'll find any other hotel/casino cafes out here. Nothing really out of the ordinary here, but still a large enough of a selection to please everyone. read more

While staying at Harah's we ate here twice. On our first visit I ordered the French Dip Sandwich and French Fries ($7.99 with players card discount). It had sliced roast beef and was served on a warm roll with au jus sauce. You can add cheese, mushrooms, etc., for an additional cost. I loved this sandwich! On my second trip I tried the Sampler Platter which included the following: Potato skins, chicken tenders and a cheese quesadilla served with sour cream and ranch dressing ($13.99 with players card discount). The chicken tenders were decent, the potato skins were bland, and the quesadilla was too greasy for my tastes. The service was great both times. We had female servers on both visits who were both attentive and friendly. The décor of the restaurant was cute also. I would probably return if I stay at Harrah's in the future but will stick with the French Dip. *Tip: Use your Harrah's players card for a discount! read more

Came here this Sat. morning since we stayed at the casino, Harrahs in Laughlin. Got seated right away. Our service was a tad slow at first, but once we got our server it was full steam ahead... So it was good... I had the veggie omelet, that came with hashbrowns and toast. Very good. This is the second time i have this here, so it must be good ;). There coffee here is really tasty as well here. Not sure what the roast is, but very good. All in all, good experience, and good prices. We didn't have a great experience at Harrah's, period, but this place wasn't that bad. The service was okay. When we arrived there were two lines - one for people with platinum member cards and one for regular ol' little people like me and the woman helping seat people let us know that she had to take everyone in that line before she could get to us because "they have a card and you don't." I'm sorry I don't take Harrah's seriously enough to become a platinum member. I'm 26, not 65. Anyway, another waiter heard that and took us to a table immediately. There was nothing wrong with the food but the tables are SO close together. My GF and I were seated at a small two-person table and next to us was a table for four. Had someone sat there, their hair would've been in our drinks. I ordered the Ranchero Burrito. It was good - I can't complain. And my girlfriend ordered an omelet I belive. Also good. Our waiter was attentive and quick. He even offered to go to a different restaurants because they were out of a hot sauce we requested (we didn't let him do it - don't worry). He took our drink order then cleaned 5 tables before bringing them. When dropped off, he said he would be back. He continued cleaning tables and never returned. I ordered the Californian breakfast special for around $8. It was half a bagel topped with a poached egg, hollandaise sauce, turkey, and avocado. It came with hash browns. The bagel was doughy in the middle. The egg was cooked fine. The sauce was too thick and somewhat bland. Overall, tasted like Denny's at best. I gave the restaurant a second chance and tried the spinach artichoke dip. It was inedible. It was cold, chunky (not creamy with chunks, just chunky cold mush). Nothing good about it. Great breakfast at lunch time. Billy my server was passionate about great service and food. He knew the menu, great recommendations, friendly and attentive. After spending the evening drinking at one of the hotel bars , I needed something to eat before heading up to the room. I decided to eat at the Beach Cafe, as it is open 24 hours. The host was friendly, and the server, I think was the manager, was also friendly. Late at night / morning, around 1am, I had ordered the Corned Beef Hash, scrambled eggs, hash browns with an english muffin. Maybe I had too much to drink, but you know, at this point, everything tasted so good. The Corned Beef hash was chunky, not shredded, Hash browns were crispy, the way I like it, and you know, scrambled eggs are scrambled eggs! The Decor reminds me of Island's Restaurant with the Hawaiian surf thing going on, ya know. At 1am in the morning, there were a lot of tables, but earlier, around 6-8pm, the place was full. My order was taken quickly, and the food arrived quickly as well. This was a good stop, cuz I can't imagine stopping at McDonald's eating a Big Mac and fries after drinking all evening. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! If I could give this place 0stars I would. We stayed at the Harrahs and I walked down to get a table for 19. Naomi agreed to seat us and showed me to the table, I told her my family was coming down and I was gonna meet them by the elevator and walk them over, she didn't mind. Not even 5 minutes later we are walking in and they gave our table away. When I approached the hostess about giving away our table -she didn't care and told me it was my fault bcuz I walked away. They are open now- it was okay- we had a sampler platter which was your typical 3 wings , 3 onion rings, zuchinnindticks and ranch dressing- not bad nothing different just frozen foods heated up. I had the French dip- the meat was excessive and so dry! The grilled cheese was excessive- like 6 slices of cheese- it was so fat it was more cheese then bread - and checking to pay took us 20 minutes! It didn't feel clean or fresh- the menus were sticky- with Covid you'd think cleanliness would be major- we had our own sanitizer and I would think sanatizeer in the entire restaurant and casino that it sits in would be everywhere! We came as fam of 3 & my parents. Idk if the employees are just unhappy here or racist. But it has to be one of them cause the amount of looks we got from eating here was shocking. I seen many of the servers pass by us & just give us dirty looks. We are hispanic but it was crazy obvious something didn't feel right. We came in with good energy wanting to have dinner & the server we got had such a dry attitude. She assumed we ordered something when we didn't it was something my partner & I discussed but we just let it be. & she was just very sarcastic. I was not fond of the service & the food was okay. The beach cafe is a simple sandwich hamburger place and the sandwich was reasonably nice. I had the club sandwich, we split it because it is a big sandwich. And it was pretty meaty I have to admit. The service is well just okay, two mediocre. So even though there's not much of a crowd it's a bit slow.
