This is my favorite restaurant in Harrah's Laughlin. There are many other food choices , however, their prices, though on the high end, are still more reasonable than most of the other restaurants. The service is not the best - The servers were all super nice, but very slow. Most recently I enjoyed a late afternoon lunch and the following morning's breakfast. We did a road trip to Laughlin and needed to grab lunch. One of the places was closed, this was open so we tried it. The hostess that seated us was training a new girl, she had absolutely no personality, hopefully doesn't rub off on the new girl. We were seated for a short time and the waitress Catherine arrived, again, not very friendly and no personality. We placed our order, and the food arrived fairly quickly. We both ordered sandwiches, one with fries the other onion rings. They were pretty good. The restaurant itself could use a bit of an update. The booth we were in the seats were all cracked and the table was in pretty rough shape. The employees in the rest of the casino were so friendly, which surprised us at how unfriendly they were in the restaurant. Serves its purpose. I could've believed that was the smallest omelet I have ever seen. It really wasn't that small, it just looked that way among the large hash brown spread across the large plate. A better choice than the others in Harrahs, but still expensive for what you get. The food was just average, reminded me of a knockoff Cracker Barrel. The service was ok, the staff seemed slow and lethargic, we saw our server about once every ten minutes. The ambiance of the place was dated and weird. You think you would get island or beach, but all we got were cafeteria with trinkets and fake tiki vibes. Steak was not all that great and super chewy, but they did serve a large portion of mashed potatoes. Sadly, the dinner does not come with soup or salad. Reading the reviews we were hesitant to try this restaurant. People said, bland food (sausage gravy in particular), bad service, etc. Our breakfast experience was quite the opposite. Brenda, our server helped us two days in a row. She was awesome! I mentioned the reviews to her and she even brought some gravy to try before we ordered. It was very good and we are from the Midwest and know good sausage gravy. It is not a high end restaurant, they have comfort foods and decent prices. Some say they are high priced, with the increases in food prices everywhere we felt they were definitely what we expected to pay. Brenda is an asset to the restaurant for sure and I would recommend asking for her if available. We will be back! read more

My family and I had dinner here and it was such a waste of money. The prime dip barely had any meat in it and the fries were stale. I don't know how you mess up frozen fries but they sure managed. We were staying at Harrah's casino where this restaurant is located. We went to the Dam to go fishing so when we got back we didn't feel like driving out to look for a restaurant since we have a 6 month baby with us. We liked that the restaurant was quiet with distant sounds of slot machines. The waitress who served us was extremely kind and nice, but besides that nothing else was worth mentioning about. I love wings so I tried the habanero mango flavor and the naked wings. They were huge wings but still on the pricier side at $16 for 6 wings. My gripe is that these wings were super salty. No amount of ranch or blue cheese dip can hide that saltiness. I had their version of the patty melt. It didn't do better than the wings. The bread was stale and rubbery. The hamburger patty of course were the frozen kind of patties which made the burger dry. We had clam chowder and the chicken noodle soup and again the common theme of saltiness plays out. Overall bad food and overpriced makes you definitely feel like you got ripped off. To salvage our trip with a decent meal, we went to the Outlet and in the food court we found A Hawaiian Restaurant called, Island Style. Try their Loco Moco and Chicken Katsu. Ok so I was staying at Harrah's, and was kind of tired of SmashBurger, and I was pretty hungry, so I decided despite the ridiculously high prices to give this place a shot. I was greeted and seated immediately and the staff was friendly, my server was pleasant and very efficient. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast as you couldn't order the dinner version in the morning, I prefer the dinner version, but Breakfast actually didn't sound bad. The plate came out pretty quickly, and included the CFS, two perfectly cooked Sunny Side Up Eggs, Hash Browns cooked exactly as I asked, extra crispy, and two pieces of delicious rye toast, man that toast is so good, thick and chewy, with delicious rye flavor, and buttered perfectly. The eggs were cooked just like I like em, the hash browns were crispy and delicious. The CFS however was a bit disappointing, it was clearly mass produced and frozen, but the gravy was pretty damn tasty. Everything was hot and the portion size was adequate. Overall I was happy with my meal, the service, and the cleanliness of the place. Prices are a bit high, but not much different than other similar restaurants in Laughlin. read more

I thought I had reviewed the Beach Cafe before so I have no photos. I met freinds from the East who were on a junket to Harrahs in Laughlin. With fewer dining choices at Harrahs than pre-Covid, we opted for the Beach Cafe. I got fish and chips and did one of my freinds. The other got a salad. The fish and chips were OK. Tartar sauce and ketchup was served in small plastic containers because of pandemic precautions. The fish pieces were obviously frozen and then deep fried to a nice brown. The chips were thick French fries that were good. The friend who ordered the salad enjoyed her dinner. I don't remember what the menu was like when I ate here many years ago, but like many places, menus have shrunk as businesses aid their bottom lines by offering fewer choices. This reduces the options diners have albeit good for the business. The Beach Cafe is an OK place to go. It's an average casino coffee shop that you generally decide to go to when your choices are limited. read more

The service and staff are excellent. The hostess and the waitress were awesome. The food however , not so much. We ordered the Huevos rancheros and the tortilla was stale and undercooked. The beans are the canned refried beans and the salsa too. You can taste the flavor of canned food in this meal. We ended up leaving our food and paying and just went to the Starbucks . Really surprised by all of the poor reviews. First off, you are not going to get Breakfast Republic in a Laughlin Hotel cafe. I saw folks stating that the food is "bland" - I didn't find that to be the case at all. We ordered the California Omelette (bacon, pepper Jack, spinach, avocado, tomato) with a side of sausage that came with crispy hash browns, three good size sausage links, and two coffees that servers Lupe and Tony religiously kept full. All delicious and what you would expect from a cafe for breakfast. My girlfriend and I split the plate and we were more than satisfied with the portion size - both of us were full. Yesterday we had the breakfast sandwich on an English muffin, which featured an over medium egg with yoke dripping off, and American cheese. They wrapped it to go as we were concerned about missing the departure time for our jet boat tour. Satisfying. I had been disappointed in the lengthy Starbucks line and was craving an iced coffee. When I asked if they had iced coffee, the server said no, but then she came back with two ice coffees that they made special for me - what wonderful service here! Price point - good.. $15.99 for the California omelette that fed both of us and $4.99 for a good portion of side sausage links. Total $ before tax was less than $30. Reading these reviews is why people abuse Yelp. 1. This is diner style food, I have been here at least seven times, all the dishes are good. The portion is good, the food is fresh and there's nothing to complain about. 2. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. First day this trip Dottie waited on us, I'd give her 5 stars, friendly and checked on us often. Second day Jason waited on us, I'd also give him 5 stars, friendly and checked on us often, I observed Jason waiting on the other tables beside us and he was so kind to the older guests here, a real peoples person. This is not Morton's Steak House in Beverly Hills. So do not go in here acting like your the high and mighty and it's your world. Chill out, enjoy yourself and be kind to the folks who work here. Take a Gamble and show up. Service is slow, took about 30 min for them to ask us what we wanted to drink. The food was AMAZING on Monday which made us comeback, however this time the food was mediocre. The steak temperature was FAR OFF twice in a row. Wow! I go to the Beach Café and order the fish n chips. I was warned earlier not to get spaghetti. I cannot sit down due to food being on the seat. I asked for the seat to be clean. The order came and the fish portion was large and looked fabulous. The fries were greasy, so greasy you could see it. I stop the young man passing and ask, "Is the grease hot enough that the fries were cooked in?" He offers to bring more but I've pushed them to the side of the plate" (finding that "do overs" are coming to be the norm). The coleslaw was in a condiment cup (2-3 tablespoons. I remove the tartar sauce and coleslaw and begin on the fish. After the 3rd piece, it started tasting pasty. I took another piece, put it in my mouth and chewed, and chewed, and chewed. I eventually spit it out into a napkin and put it on the plate (what is that). Now, looking closely, there is a very dark spine which I pulled out whole. (gross). I was through. I go to the counter to give them the voucher previously received from the rewards center and asked to talk with the manager. Low and behold it's the same young man I spoke to about the fries. I showed him the picture of the fish and he did not seem interested at all. $20 voucher given and I'm out of there. I try the café again. I am thinking breakfast would be better. It turns out that the cooks do not know how to cook soft scrambled eggs. I received an omelet, English muffin with cheese that was not melted and cold, one slice of muffin had the cheese and bacon practically smashed into it (remember the cheese was not even melted), plus the hash browns were barely cooked (I asked for crispy. I took my fingernail and flipped the cheese off the muffin.) This is ridiculous! I push the plate away and guess what! The server did not come back to my table for about 10 minutes, not even to top off my coffee. I had to ask a young lady to just give me the bill so I could leave. At this time, the server tip toes over behind and asks if I wanted the cook to recook my order. I said "No."  He took the plate and came right back and stated that the manager said I did not have to pay. I came out and I'm livid. Why can't I get a decently cooked meal? Breakfast is an easy meal. I try the café again (different time), in hopes of another cook and better food. I ordered the same breakfast sandwich (no receipt for the first time due to them not giving me one). I explained to the server the previous misfortune and even showed him the picture of the breakfast plate. I told him that this time my eggs will be soft scramble. He assures me they will be. Well! Well! This time the hashbrowns were cooked correctly but the bacon was over cooked, and I got the same omelet looking eggs. I'm truly baffled at this time. Why don't they know the difference between an omelet and scrambled eggs? I asked for a box, drank the rest of my coffee, and went to the counter to pay. I asked to speak to the manager. Once again it was Eric Chavez. I opened the box and asked why it was such a problem to get soft scrambled eggs? He looked at me and said "they are scrambled ". I told him that once you fold over eggs, their considered and omelet". He then gave the excuse that it looked like that because of the cheese." ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! IVE HEARD IT ALL!  On top of that, there's a senior group of ladies in front of me who lost her ticket, and he comes over to help the cashier bring it up. The older lady who's paying asked a question and he snaps at her in a parental tone," I'm not talking to you." All in line look in amazement at his offensive tone. He was condescending and spoke to her in a "hush your mouth tone". The other two women surrounded her in disbelief. This is learned and accepted behavior! I immediately leave and go to the front desk and ask to speak to a manager. read more
