Oh my this is easily the best buffet I've ever been to. We went for Mother's Day the service was so professional and friendly. Greeted with a glass of prosecco. Raw bar, caviar bar, charcuterie bar, juice bar, and THEN the phenomenal buffet. See pictures below. Very very relaxing place to dine as well! Can't wait to go again

We went here for my bfs birthday and they treated us SO well. The restaurant is both elegant and comfortable. They greeted us at the door with fresh bone broth that was exquisite. They had me at hello haha. This was the most incredible steak I've ever had. True perfection. The hamachi was also by far the best and most creative preparation I've ever had. They also brought out a birthday dessert that was so delicious. I LOVE this place. I will be back. Perfect for special occasions! They don't miss a beat here. Even the bathrooms are elite.

I went to Be.Steak last friday. Reservation is 8pm. I have been there when it first open. 1) Decor, very nice 2) Front hostess, super nice and when you first walk in and check in. Will get bone broth soup in a small cup while you wait. 3) Their service is amazing, my waiter/server is Luke, he is very knowlegable about wine and steak. My husband and I have a lot of qn about steak and wine. His suggestion is wonderful. 4) Order a bunch of appertizer, and also order steak, scallops. Pasta, Salad. Dessert. My party has 4 persons, good to order more and share and try out. 5) Scallop is perfect, steak is good. Every thing's taste is very good. 6) Definitelly an expensive steak house. I saw it said michelin star. Every penny you spent is totally worth it. Highly recommended, will be back sometimes.

It has been a long time since we've dine at a steak house. We decided to come here for our 10 year anniversary celebration with our 4 year old in tow. It was amazing and delicious. We were given bone broth while we waited and it was so delicious. We were given a booth with an happy anniversary card which was a nice touch. They were really sweet to our little toddler. The food was delicious - we all enjoyed it. Very well presented. The restaurant itself was spacious and calming decor. Unlimited candy for you to select from and take home! Bathrooms were luxurious.

Fancy place with lunch reservation, walked in on time and greeted right away with warm and savory broth, like it. The inside has up to date decorative lightings, also great set up for special occasions. Friday lunch, we had 5 mins just us , then people started to show up, noise level is decent. There are couple complimentary dishes from the chef , organic vegetables and flower - the ones are so good until we found lots of bugs on the lettuce , mentioned to the waitress, she claimed that is what it is for organic. I am wondering if organic means no need to wash ?! Well, she took away that plate, and didn't give us another one , even no asking on it , kinda of disappointed for a fancy service place . Another complimentary dish was the mash potato balls, they were ok , good as freebies. For the dishes we tried, very liked the bread waitress recommended: Faccaccio Di Recco -- Must try, freshly baked with cheese in side and Oliver oil outside, 5 star impression from my taste bud. Rib Eye , medium rare, good quality with disappointed looking and taste caramelized onions. The onion looked and tasted mushy, watery .... The truffle fry was good, only sad face when the waitress took away without asking if I want to bag the rest to go. Lastly, the pecan pie, 2 stars with the price I paid. The crust was hard, the pecan filling part was dry ... besides sweet and just sweet. Overall experience 3 out of 5 with high expectations on the dishes and services. We got complimentary cookies towards end, that is dry and hard like sugar rock. Sorry to be picky on even free stuff. Just hoped for something yummy and I won't feel quilt for that much sugar I ate. This is a place for special occasion celebration, and dish choice can determine the number of stars . This trip overall is 3.7, rounded up to 4.

We came here to celebrate an anniversary. From the moment we entered to the minute we left, it was a fabulous time. The hosts in the beginning were so nice and offered us a warm broth to drink to prepare ourselves for the amazing meal we were about to have. We ended up ordering family style and shared all the dishes we ordered from the small bites to the HUGE porterhouse steak. I thought it was so cool to see the steak before they cooked it. I of course had my partner take a few pictures of me before we saw the final product. We loved the atmosphere and how genuinely friendly everyone was. I would come again!

STRICTLY DUMPLING EPISODE On YouTube I'm subscribed to Strictly Dumpling, which is a food channel. There was an episode Mike Chen visited Be.Steak.A for Sunday brunch. After watching the episode a couple of years ago I wanted to come eat here. The first time I came here was November for Sunday brunch before Thanksgiving. In fact that day was about a week after my colonoscopy. If I was going to a buffet after that procedure I might as well spend the money by eating at Be.Steak.A for Sunday brunch. When I entered the restaurant the first offering was a drink that was part of the buffet. Since I was driving I decided to get a glass of apple cider. The setup of the buffet is unique. The grilled meat and hot items are served in the kitchen. The non-hot items are served inside the dining room. As I'm paying a lot of this buffet I went to the kitchen to select varieties of meat for my first plate, which included porchetta, bacon, prime rib, scrambled eggs, and beef wellington. I'll start by saying the beef wellington here is better than beef wellington at Gordon Ramsey Steak at Vegas. That has to do with the pastry with its flaky crust has a texture of a croissant. The porchetta had the balance of fat and meat. The scrambled eggs were wet. My second plate included devil ribs. I am not a fan of deviled eggs as the sauce can be too heavy, but the sauce on the devil ribs was lightly coated. For my second plate I also had the poached egg on sourdough toast. My third plate consisted mostly of breakfast items. The waffles were airy. The Italian sausage was meaty. The only non-breakfast item on that plate was the filet mignon with chimichurri, which added flavor to the steak. My last plate included octopus skewers, asparagus, salmon, beef wellington, and croissant with honey. Due to the quality of items I will say the Sunday brunch buffet at Be.Steak.A is similar to Las Vegas buffets. I did not have a tomahawk steak for this buffet as was depicted in the Strictly Dumpling episode. However after the restaurant I smelled the smoke of the almond wood. Due to the smell I wanted to come here next time for steak. The next time I came here was the Thursday before Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. I had in mind ordering the signature steak The Be.Steak.A. However when my server Aaron stated that the size of the porterhorse could be too much for one person to eat I asked what other steak he recommended. He stated the strip loin. After about five minutes of thinking I stuck to my guns; I decided the The Be.Steak.A. I asked my server what pasta he suggested. He said the most popular pasta customers order was the tarjarin al tartufo because of the black truffles. However the Filipino inside was thinking about rice. I asked my server about the pork fried rice. He said that's his favorite item at the restaurant. Sold. The signature steak is a porterhouse. The size of my porterhouse was 51 ounces. The pork fried rice at Be.Steak.A tastes better than at most Chinese restaurants. First the rice is fluffy yet not sticky. Second you can taste the pork flavor. Third the pork fried rice was light. Despite the thick portion the porterhouse wasn't fatty but lean. This beneficial as I was able to finish the steak without having the "meat sweats". Even though I asked for medium rare the porterhouse didn't taste pasty. There's one flaw with the porterhouse it was over seasoned. With marrow butter and tempura enoki I couldn't taste the steak. Also I couldn't smell the smokiness of the almond wood. I wasn't going to get dessert. However that night was the last week of serving the dessert item Pommes & Parm, which included white chocolate mousse on foie gras caramel. Sold. I love foie gras especially on desserts as it adds a buttery texture. I wasn't disappointed with my dessert. I enjoyed my two visits here. I couldn't rate this place a 5-star because of its signature steak, which was the most expensive steak I ever paid at a restaurant. If the steak was less seasoned not only I could've smell the smokiness of the almond wood but also I would've tasted beefy flavor. Due to the prices I paid for the Sunday brunch and porterhouse I do not see myself coming to Be.Steak.A anytime soon. However I can see myself coming back Be.Steak.A again.

As preface, I am a pretty picky eater and love the flavor of individual ingredients and foods, so a good rating from me is an exceptional achievement or anyone. Anything 7/10 or higher is an acheievent for that establishment! First of all, the service was 9/10, absolutely amazing, they treated us with exceptional service and courteousness. they even accommodated my new addiction to nice hot bone broth. I asked for two extra shots! Our server, younger guy, was super outgoing and friendly, and was great with explaining the location and details of each plate and cut of steak. I ordered the Be.Steak.A Large Porterhouse steak, french fries, and cranberry juice. The rest of my family ordered a filet minon, shallots, meat balls, and more pictured. However, I had to bring it down to a 3.5 due to the steak, the main reason I went there. Not only was it room temperature when I got it, it was cold after a minute due to the ac being set too low. It was a bit undercooked for medium rare, more rare, and had too much green stuff on the steak. It was a very high quality steak however. The 50oz porterhouse steak was rated 6/10 on the New York Strip side and 7.5/10 on the file minon side. The french fries were good, solid 6.5/10, and the cranberry juice was amazing, 8/10. The vibe of the entire restaurant was very soothing, and I loved the view of the kitchen.

We had an overall positive experience and most of the food was delicious but for a steakhouse, the $210 chateaubriand was beyond disappointing. For a cut known for its "extreme tenderness," the outside was too firm and chewy even though the inside was definitely medium rare. This was worse than a typical filet mignon and we "unfortunately" got 20 oz of it...it also came with two sauces (aerated Hollandaise and maybe au jus or something), both of which were basically flavorless. Most of the sides and appetizers we ordered were great though. - Steak tartare: Strong start to the meal. It came with 6 pieces of soft and buttery brioche, a plate of whipped beef tallow, and a huge bowl of steak tartare. We actually ran out of bread before we ran out of the tartare! - Lamb chop appetizer: Also amazing! The meat here was more tender than the chateaubriand and we loved the flavors of the jalapeno jelly + aioli on it - Yam stones: Reminded me of mochi donuts. Mildly sweet - Hasselback potatoes (complimentary dish that came with the chateaubriand): Potatoes were soft (perfect texture). Came sitting in a pool of watery sour cream that also didn't taste like much though - Pork fried rice: One of the servers called this "our twist on the Asian classic" but it didn't seem like a fusion dish. From the Calabrian chilis (very different from chili crisp) and spicy sausage (more like breakfast sausage than Taiwanese or Chinese pork sausage) to the pool of oil the rice sat in, nothing about it reminded me of typical pork fried rice at all. We ended up ordering the sticky toffee pudding for dessert (flambeed next to our table) but also got a free baked Alaska for the birthday dessert (with birthday/funfetti ice cream inside) and a sparkler. The sticky toffee pudding was very sweet (mostly because of the syrup)!

Great service, I enjoyed every moment here. This restaurant served Italian style steak & pasta, maybe that's why we're not really familiar with these flavors. But it's still a great dining experience. I really like lobster risotto, it's the best dish I tried here. I also enjoy the complimentary chicken broth served the moment you step in to the restaurant, it's so warm and comforting

(My group always takes each other out and treats the bday person.) I've actually always wanted to try their Sunday Brunch, but I am a steak lover. Dinner as an alternative was fine with me. We were seated at a table off in the corner which felt more private. So I'm not gonna lie, I'm super extra. Tho sometimes without realizing it. I can never eat a full steak. And I like my meat rare. When a friend who likes the same temp agreed to share, he mentioned he wanted the namesake steak. I agreed without really thinking about it or realizing the price. Holy cow! I have the best friends ever cuz that steak was expensive! And for two people, huge! (Go on with the TWSS jokes.) It was so tender and juicy tho. The perfect yum! There was an issue with the first steak. It was way overcooked for rare. Our server apologized profusely and sent out another one. And he let us keep the overcooked steak so others in our party who prefer a higher temp got to try it. Definitely a splurgy spot, but I had so much fun. A great special occasion meal. REVIEW #3853

We had the most amazing anniversary dinner. Enrique was our server and recommended the delicious burrata. Everyone there was amazing. It was our first time but won't be our last. When you make a reservation make sure you say what you are celebrating and you might get a special card and treat! The vibes were amazing and even the bathroom was an experience. Don't miss out.

Very good service and food here! It was getting cold outside and nice to have a chicken broth when you entered the restaurant. All the chefs worked busy but happily inside the open kitchen made me very excited to have my first experience here. We were there for our anniversary and they took us a little bit darker( good mood) and I saw the message card on the table. The server gave us good recommendations and all the food we ordered were delicious! This restaurant made our anniversary special and we definitely come back again!

Unfortunately I do not remember what I had...except for one that had "absinthe" which was obviously the fake American version of it. Each cocktail has a very thorough description so you can pick and choose to your liking. Every cocktail was about $17 each. Which is pricey! but that's how it is these days. But you should be assured the quality here is real good. I had to dock 1 star for the interesting choice of leaving the emergency door ajar all night the time i went. While it did help with the steamy temps inside, wow did it ruin the night for those who sit close to the door! It was very cold and windy so maybe leaving it too open was an uninformed choice. Parking is tricky, it's mostly street. There's some residential areas you can park at if you don't mind walking farther. Definitely going back, but a little farther away from the door next time.

The owner took the time to…read moreexplain to us the inspiration behind the dishes and that really made the restaurant super inviting. We started with the crab crostini and the Brussels sprouts. The crab was very fresh and each crostini had a large portion of crab on top. The Brussels sprouts were very crispy and very umami with the cheese and bacon combination mixed in. The empanada was honestly a showstopper. I don't know how to describe it other than you have to try it. Both pastas were good but I prefer the mushroom one over the short rib ragu. The halibut was also good, and the basil sauce made it even better. I was already super impressed with everything but I think the stars were the 2 desserts. The Dubai cheesecake was an Italian style cheesecake, so it was a lot lighter than I was expecting (which was welcomed) and captured the essence of Dubai chocolate without being too overwhelming. The Lira in Wonderland was also SO good. It had a crown of cotton candy and was a mix of biscoff cookies, dehydrated red velvet cake (don't knock it till you try it), butterscotch sauce, and strawberries. I was honestly blown away by this meal.

This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner date that my husband meticulously planned for me,…read morebut it turned into the most horrendous dining experience I've ever had. We dined at Lira on November 14th. The Service (or Lack Thereof): The Menu Shortage: We arrived for our 6:45 PM reservation only to be told by the manager that they didn't have enough menus. We were told they'd bring them "later." Ignored for 35+ Minutes: We sat with nothing but water for over half an hour. To make matters worse, a table of six was seated after us and received their full entrees while we were completely ignored. The Drink Mess: After 40 minutes, the server told me they were out of ingredients for my drink. When I picked a second option, she tried to insist I wanted a drink with celery (my most despised vegetable). We thankfully stopped her before it was made, but the incompetence was staggering. The Food Fiasco: An hour into our reservation, someone dropped off a scallop dish. A while later, a server asked if I'd "received the scallops yet," and I realized the plate I was eating wasn't even intended for our table. We were so starving that my husband and I just shared them. Once we finished, the server finally asked my husband if he "still wanted his meal or if he wanted to cancel it." I finally lost my cool - of course he still wanted his dinner! The Aftermath: My husband didn't realize that my friends had actually made a separate reservation to take me back to this same spot the following night for a second birthday celebration. After this performance, there was no way I was going to step foot in this building again or give them another cent of our money. I texted my friends from the table to cancel those reservations and book elsewhere. With service this disorganized and insulting, this restaurant won't be in business long. Super disappointing. Don't waste your special occasions here. *Edit - it looks like Lira has closed. With the service we experienced, I am not surprised in the slightest. I am hopeful that whichever future business occupies this space is more successful.

No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.

It has become such a safe space for me that I'll show up alone sometimes (as a single, sober, semi-shy, female, that should say a lot). I don't drink and I've honestly never watched Star Wars but you'll find me frequenting this bar like it's nobody's business. The bartenders, staff, and owners are super friendly and kind, their Instagram is always up to date, and their bar is filled with amazing food and drinks (they even have a great non-alcoholic selection). Their schedule is packed with super popular events such as: - Karaoke on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays - Board Game Night on Tuesdays - Comedy Shows on Thursdays - Crafts on Wednesdays - Trivia on Mondays All of these events have the place packed with fellow nerds and friendly folk that will have no issue including you in anything they're doing. You'll find a variety of folk at this bar- across all ages, genders, and nerd-level. I personally have made a plethora of friends at this bar and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon :) Thanks for everything, guys!

I think maybe instead of music they should just choose one of the many movies playing on the screens and pump that volume in. Oh they have Karaoke now too. Either way the place is fun and worth a visit. Who knows you might become one of the regulars and make some friends.

I went on a Sunday afternoon post-church, and it was pretty slammed lots of kids and football fans. I actually had to ask someone to wipe down a table for us, so definitely a "help yourself" kind of vibe. My friend and I had a bit of a communication breakdown. I was thinking a light salad; he was thinking beer and pizza. Since they don't do wine by the glass, I ended up with a $17 mini bottle. It was okay, but $17 for a single-serve is a stretch, not exactly a wine lover's paradise. The food was a mixed bag. The pizza was definitely the star; you can tell it's made with love and not some big-box chain stuff. The salad was fresh, but the chicken was pretty bland. I didn't mind it, but my friend was not impressed. Between the wine and the lack of listening on his part, even with my coupon, the bill hit $71 for a pizza, a salad, and a tiny bottle of wine. I miss the days when a casual lunch didn't hurt the wallet so much! Still, the decor is cool and it's a solid spot for a group hangout.

I like that you don't feel like you're smashed right next to your neighbor. My friend got the hamburger for around $15. Loved it. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich. They got the order wrong. They were supposed to do a chicken breast, as opposed to the cut up strips, but it turned out to be OK because it was still pretty good quality. Just knocking off a star for that, otherwise overall a great deal, under $20 with tax and tip! The sandwiches are still a good portion size. Their pizzas have actually gone down in size though (and up in price)so just keep that in mind if you haven't been in a while. Overall, the best value for a pub in the Campbell area.
