EXCELLENT PRICES! HARD TO BEAT SOME OF THEIR PRICES, EVEN ON-LINE!. I have purchased parts there…read moreabout 5 or 6 times for my Harley, and had an inspection done several years back. The place is owned by the little guy out back and the taller lady at the front. The female owner is VERY knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She will patiently listen to what you need and spend whatever time necessary looking up your parts and be sure to give you all your options, regardless if a $10 item or a $100 item. She is no pressure, and honest about any experiences they have had if you ask for her opinion. The husband is ok, you can tell he is busy, but he tries to listen and help you, and often refers you to his wife at the front counter for help. It is my understanding that he used to run the service dept at K&K Kawasaki in Vestal many years ago. When they first opened and I was looking for an inspection, he gave me crap about my taller than stock handlebars and even measured the height to the seat and told me I was over by a couple inches. Having had the handlebars on for over 15 years, I was about to tell him what I thought and leave, but he seemed to look past it, and kept looking the bike over, so I gave him a chance to prove he wasnt a dick. Glad I did. I had a problem with my horn and he let me fix it and kept on with the inspection. He passed it, but did look everything over. I have purchased tires, throttle cables, fuel additive, some gloves, etc... from them when stopping in. I recently called around for new tires again and their prices were as good as the best price I found online! They have been at their location now since probably 2007 or 2008 and I expect with their good part prices and the amount of service they do, they will be there for a long time to come. A welcome addition to Vestal. Stop by and give them a chance for your motorcycle and ATV needs. I am glad I did.

Things here are a bit over priced compared to other shops but it's a local shop and it's on my riding route so I do my business there. However, she can be a little short with you especially if she is trying to work on something in the back that she has to get to. she doesn't have any employees so if you want to walk in and window shop forget it because she will kick you out because she has a project in the back that she needs to attend to. very old school but not in a good way. there's not much shopping you can do online here and like I said, if you make the trip all the way out there and do a walk in, she won't be happy with you if she's busy in the back and you're trying to shop and spend money.

The lady knew that the bike was gonna be unstable, yet she still modified the bike and put the training wheels on. She knew that my sister wasn't gonna be able to ride the bike because of the training wheels being unstable. She still proceeded to charge my mother over $40. Now, my mom has to take the bike back, because my sister is unable to ride the bike. The lady won't refund. My mom is now out the $40 and my sister is without the bike. Stay away from this place at all costs.

The rental includes a helmet and bike lock. I'm more comfortable riding a tricycle at home for running errands, but Laurence was very patient as I became re-accustomed to riding a two-wheeler, helping me find a bike that was the right size for me, adjusting the seat and handle bars, and walking me through how to charge the bike and use the electric throttle. The electric motor was very helpful as I rode around Itacha's steep hills. All in all, the rental process was easy and the bike was fantastic!

Though I've only tested the rental bikes (including electric!) I haven't needed to rent one as I have my own--but such a great option for people visiting town, especially now with the Cayuga Waterfront Trail and other bicycle infrastructure that make conditions here better. People are newer to biking, especially those with kids, surely appreciate these improvements. When I have had one of my two bicycles serviced there (numerous times by now) the turnover time is quick and the prices are reasonable. I'm taking my winter bike in to Boxy Bikes tomorrow for some service before that road salt comes out! A great, reliable Local Bike Shop!
