The initial repair person who came to see what caused the flood was the one who told me that the overflow preventer install caused the flood yet Appolo refused to reimburse me for the insurance deductible. Two years later another (different) company came for routine maintenance and showed me that the original ductwork was poorly designed because there is a rule that there should be 24 inches between secondary ducts and the end of each main line; it is clear on most online descriptions that this is ideal for maximum air flow through the system. When Appoly did the original install I had them come back because the air flow felt insufficient and they told me it was by design because the goal is to run the unit for a long time at a lower air flow for consistent temperature!!

They could not fix the leak though which they said was a clog. They referred me to a clog removal company. Called that company, they couldn't fix it, said to call Arctic Bear back to replace the pipes. I did, but they couldn't come back for over a week. A week of not being able to use the kitchen sink or dishwasher. When they did come back, they gave me an estimate of $1,600 to fix. I declined. Called another company for a second opinion, and they came out two days later and fixed it for $318.
