Kind of a spur of the moment choice, but a darn good one!!! We started to go somewhere else and it was crowded do we opted to try BB's. We we're not dissapointed!!! I got the Crowley Special which was half fried crawfish and half crawfish ettouffee with dirty rice. It was very good and I was very impressed. My wife got the Shrimp and Grits and it looked so good I had to try a bite! It was delicous!!! The Shrimp were Blackened and the Grits were very buttery with corn in them, but it was oh so good!!! They have a very impressive menu and it has a New Orleans with a Texas Twist taste!!! We ordered an appetizer of fried Boudain Balls that you could tell were very cajun in flavor, really good!!! The also have a great selection of beers, even craft beer, and also a good wine selection. We got the grandson a childrens order of Mac and cheese with fries, hee lived the Mac and Cheese which was made with big shells. This place had a really nice atmosphere and the staff was really friendly and helpful. We'll be going back!!! read more

Went to BB's on White Oak on fathers day and had great service even with the place pack service was friendly and quick. Suggested to a friend to go there on this pass Friday and even with not very many people service was slow. I was looking around the restaurant and notice all the chairs were dusty and some even had cobwebs on them, but what really brought to my attention, the chandelier over our table had a huge spider web hanging with something on it waving back in forth ready to drop. I bought to the attention to my server and he said he was told not to touch the chandeliers. From that point I felt sick, wondering what other type of sloppy nest was going on in that restaurant and I was going to call Galveston County Health!!! read more

We love cajun food, especially po'boys like roast beef and or oyster. Tonight we tried BB's for the first time and was a little disappointing. We ordered the Midnight Masterpiece which was a beef po'boy, did not like the beef which was more like a pulled- beef in gravy. We expected spiced roast beef like we see in every hot roast beef po'boy we've has. Although there was a lot of beef on this sandwich, it was overwhelming and had to thin out the meat to taste the lettuce and tomatoes and mayo. Good try, not my style. When my husband and I saw that a BB's near home was opening up, we were really excited. This is our go to place for Thanksgiving fried turkeys. So happy my husband doesn't have to drive out to the Heights anymore! The place was busy but we were seated quickly. Our waitress, Azalei (sp), was in training, and she was so sweet. She was friendly and very eager to get things right. I ordered the Jazzy Shrimp Trio. The fried shrimp and the blackened shrimp were really good but the shrimp etouffee was not. The roux was all flour. I know that's a main ingredient but that was ALL I could taste. I wish I'd ordered just the fried or blackened shrimp. Even though I was not a fan of the etouffee, I give it 3 stars because their fried turkeys are delicious and because every staff member we interacted with was super friendly. read more

So the wife let me decide on a place for dinner and I choose BB's for our 1st time, wow!! Blown away! Wife loves bloody Mary's and it was exactly what she wanted we started with a chicken appetizer that was great!! We both got the reddish plates, food was amazing! The only complain I had was the the greens were a bit under seasoned, I'm used to smoked pork or turkey but these were probably vegan... still wasn't bad!! We are from Louisiana and this is as close as Cajun you can find in Texas! We love this place and always come back anytime we are in town!!

Was disappointed there was no lunch menu. I ordered the catfish dinner but requested it blackened instead of fried. Just didn't meet my standard for the price ($14.99). It came with fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies (2). The catfish filets were small (4) and extremely greasy the fries too were so heavily saturated with oil I couldn't eat them. Hush puppies were however, decent but small. I'll have to satisfy my Cajun food pallet elsewhere from now on. read more

Great service! Sat in bar area at a high top on a Monday night. Our waitress Britney was very responsive and knew the menu. She let us know about the 5$ gumbo special so we shared that as an app. Yummy chicken and sausage. A little heavy on the roux. Andouille has good flavor without being too spicy. A bit more hot sauce would have made it even better. We loved the little nuggets of yumminess aka hush puppies served with the gumbo. We almost ordered hush puppies to have more. We both had the blackened red fish. I had mine with the shrimp and hubs had the ettoufee. I think the spicy sauce with mine was much better. The shrimp were over cooked but that is a very hard thing to do with blackening. They were sadly out of greens so we both had the green beans which were very tasty and loaded with Parmesan. I also had their house marg which was delish and more on the sour than sweet side like I like it! I can see how their swirl with their hurricane would be a great balance of salty and sweet for people who like sweeter drinks. We will definitely be back. Wanted to try this place. It was ok but not like I would come here again. The crawfish was tasty but very soggy. Had to get rid of some of the little buggers because they fell apart when I was peeling them. I tried the alligator andouille sausage and it wasn't anything spectacular. Tasted like eckrich sausage with a touch of Cajun. The waitress messed my order up to start off and the rest was just a bad experience. I don't think we will be coming here again. Have been wanting to try this place since it opened. Somewhat disappointed. Started with the fried pickles. They were really good. I Ordered the REGULAR size chicken and sausage gumbo with a side of French bread. Hubby ordered shrimp and grits and the boy ordered the cheese fries with roast beef debris. They brought me a LARGE gumbo (way more than I could eat) (no French bread) about 10 minutes before they brought the rest of the food. I mentioned that I had ordered a regular and they told me no I didn't. The gumbo is made with a light roux. And my LARGE bowl had 2 pieces of cut up sausage but tons of chicken. My husband asked for my French bread when they finally brought their meals and they said that it's 0.69 per piece extra and that there wasn't any French/garlic bread on our order. I requested one piece. It came a few minutes later and was less than half the size of a slice of regular bread. The hush puppies are made with flour and have a different taste. Overall not impressed by my dinner. Hubby's shrimp & grits were good. Plenty of food. The fried pickles were good as well. My boys Tex cajun fries were good he said. Ordered curbside at 3:00 on Saturday so not very busy. Ask for potato salad instead of fries and they forgot the potato salad. Ordered the fried catfish just a few small pieces of fish and I could tell it had been sitting there for a while despite me having to wait longer. From the beginning of getting sat down our bad experience started. We ordered several drinks and every drink we ordered we were told they didn't have. Then our waitress Michelle tells that the bar is closing they already put everything up. When she walked away my husband went to the bar and ordered me a drink with no problem. We ordered our food and my husbands potatoes were cold like they came straight from the fridge. The only saving grace was a waitress named Robyne that brought us our condiments and got the manager for us and corrected everything. To add insult to injury the first waitress comes and brings the check and my husband wants to add a beer she said no were closed. He tells her this is the last time I come over and she says I like getting food groceries to though and laughs and walks away. read more

We love BB's! The Tuesday special is a trail off the beaten path of everyday offerings with a pecan crusted chicken and the sauces are mouth watering! I've had the Boudain taquitos and gumbo (best gumbo in area hands down!) we've also sampled the crawfish PO boy and other sandwiches... (or PO boys rather) so far, the spices are just right (gramma was Cajun so I grew up eating amazing Cajun food) BB's is close! I can't wait to go back and try something else.
